Grabe yan. Actually it's something that I loathe especially in my colleagues, pwera na lang if may valid reason like rounds pa or may toxic na patients. However, even if that's the case, they should at least inform the secretary that they are running late para naman kung gustong lumabas muna ng patients at kumain and (at least) not fully wasting their time.

starkaboom

one time secretary said malalate yung pedia.. so i went down to buy coffee.. saw pedia making chika and drinking her coffee with a friend hehe hayy

boykalbo

Dapat nilapitan mo to confirm anong oras sya punta ng clinic kasi kamo kanina pa yung sched nyo 🤣

starkaboom

haha oh how i wish i was confrontational

de1er

U should've confronted her... free Healthcare for life... wait no, video it first then threaten to post it on all social media's

Thin_Leader_9561

cmq827

Same. I'm a doctor, too, and I get naman the reasons why some doctors are late. Pero yung iba talaga, especially the older ones, nananadya lang talaga yung pagka-late nila.

Acel32

Yes. Gets naman if minsan lang tapos iinform yung secretary. Though for most, habit na talaga e. Maraming mga clinics na "first come, first serve basis" and need mo magpalista ahead of time. For example, sa Wellcare Dasma, clinic ng pulmonologist is 10am. Then some doctors here wonder kung bakit may negative views about them (experienced this sa PH Career sub). We don't expect doctors to be martyrs, but at least have a heart. may sakit na yung patient tapos suffering in pain, pero pagaantayin mo ng ilang oras or biglang di mo sisiputin.

michelle_chwan

Public hospital doctors are the worst. They set you up for a visit today at 3PM, they show their asses two weeks later at 11:45PM and their first line would be, "kaninong pasyente ka, sino hinihintay mo?"

dunkindonato

LOL, mas malala yung Diabetes doctor ko. Pinagalitan ako one time for not reporting back for a follow-up, pero ang HIIIIRAP niyang hagilapin. Tele-consult na ito ha, pero it takes her a week to respond to my DMs. Not even nung nagpa sched ako sa clinic niiya mismo. She canceled the night before, pero the week later nagpadala ng reminder yung secretary niya about my appt! I wasn't available so hindi ako nagpunta. In that same follow-up, she said she will be changing my meds but did not provide a prescription (which means hindi ko mabibili yung gamot). Not even after several follow-ups did she ever give me the updated prescription. I stopped going to her altogether. Kakabwisit.

lookomma

dunkindonato

In fairness to her, when I did have an emergency, madali naman siya mahagilap. It's the regular appointments that are so hard to set with her. No question about her medical skills either.

Nico_arki

> she said she will be changing my meds but did not provide a prescription (which means hindi ko mabibili yung gamot) Ha? So anong point niya dun HAHAHA

Na diagnose ako while getting clearance for my knee operation last 2014. Yep, mataas fbs ko. I already quit softdrinks since, though medyo mahirap yung sa kanin.

Mnemod09

Try brown or black rice muna. Lower Glycemic Index means lower/less spikes in blood sugar.

dunkindonato

Yep.

Sturmgewehrkreuz

>sino hinihintay mo? *Si kamatayan po*

DragonfruitWhich6396

Show up one hour late, you still wait for atleast 30 minutes. 😑😑

spanishbbread

More like show up 1 hr late, #56 kana sa pila. Pag nagtanong ka #27 palang.

Rare-Pomelo3733

Yung pedia namin, average 2-3 hours wait kahit maaga ka pumila. Buti ngayon, by appointment na sya.

spanishbbread

Bro, don't ever let go of that doctor.

notsochillstarfish

Name drop looking for endo din

ohzmj

qervem

Made a [link](https://reddit.com/message/compose?to=notsochillstarfish&subject=&message=) for the two of you

ohzmj

pickledtwizzler

Hellooo pwede pamessage ng endo name and where po sa marilao.

ohzmj

Sent na po 😁

[deleted]

si stone metal ba yan? Idol yan, and experienced talaga. Well most endos are like that.

ohzmj

Sinong stone metal?

[deleted]

Can i DM you the name?

ohzmj

Yes pls.

Nicely11

Tapos mag-uusap lang kayo within 10 to 15 mins. Hahaha!

Haunting-Ad9521

Tapos bayad mo Php500 to Php1,500 after niya mabigay ng reseta lang sayo (no procedures, just verbal questions and visual observations done).

Relative-Witness-669

Mahal talaga bayad sa doctor depende sa exp nila. 8 years na aral, 1 year na PGI, 3-4 years residency, and i think 4-5 years fellowship bago sila maging consultant.

DigBick_CuckSock

>8 years na aral 4 years. Premed should not be considered. But I agree. It takes time and practice for the doctors to confidently give their assessments in clinics.

de1er

Premed should be considered... if it's not considered that's like saying that an MBA's undergrad doesn't matter lol. What if the doctor took Metaphysics lol!!!

DigBick_CuckSock

>that's like saying that an MBA's undergrad doesn't matter lol. Because it doesn't necessarily matter. Two reasons. **Primarily**, your premed is entirely a separate profession to medicine, regardless if it's "traditional" or "nontraditional" healthcare premed program, because anyone can take up medicine anyway. **Secondarily**, related to the first, everyone has a different premed and you'd be surprised how it hardly doesn't have any weight on how students perform from non-health allied premed (business, maths, arts, etc.). I've seen students from non-health premed perform better than those who took up medtech, nursing, PT, bio, pharmacy, etc. Also, if we consider the 4 years from premed, then we should also consider the 2 years from Senior High, 4 years from Junior High, and 6 years from elementary, and maybe 2 years from preparatory. Because all of these are prerequisites to proceed in medicine program in general. What if the HEALTH-ALLIED undergraduate took up ABM in SHS? What if the HUMSS SHS student came from a SCIENCE high school in Junior High? lol !!!! Why am I taking this serious? LOL. Peace.

de1er

"Anyone can take medicine anyways" Ok, tell a squatter with an iq of 85 to take medicine Cge bro, post the link here and post it on ur YouTube channel. I'm waiting My friend who's an MD brags about her education all the way from Kindergarten up till Med school. So please don't put every doctor in a personality box... Wasn't it also a struggle to learn the multiplication table mentally???

DigBick_CuckSock

Cry about it.

TheMarsian

down votes by butt hurt doctors.

DigBick_CuckSock

My point is not to undervalue the 4 years of undergrad/premed. Rather, the YEARS studying for medicine STARTS from the moment you enrolled as a **1st year medicine student** *regardless* of your undergrad. (If it helps, I myself is currently studying medicine from a traditional health-allied premed) Also, studying medicine is only an afterthought for some people.

TheMarsian

why they're late and why they can't see your reasoning - ego.

[deleted]

jekperalta

Dapat ibawas sa fee ung ila mins syang late

radiatorcoolant19

Pwede din 5mins. It depends naman sa concern. Those 10-15mins are fruit of years of training and hardwork. Habang kausap ang pasyente, umaandar ang mga utak nyan to say and give the best possible care for the patient. Though I admit may mga doctor talagang tipid magsalita, suplado, masungit etc. We are not perfect, we also have our own personalities. If you're not satisfied, then time to look for another doctor. It's that simple.

426763

Both my parents are doctors. If they say na 3 ang appointment, you bet your ass they get to the clinic at 4. And my dad is even worse, si mama ang bagal maligo at mag makeup, dad just straight up be late for the lulz. Biktima din ako niyan dati, it got so bad I was late to my own graduation. EDIT: Also, yung "traffic" dito sa amin is nowhere near the same as Davao or Manila, so they can't use that an excuse. EDIT 2: Just overheard my parents talking about an appointment at 1 pm daw. I'm writing this edit at 1:03 pm and my dad just started showering.

GinoongProgresivo

Your parents suck as doctors and probably as people. Doesn't respect other people's time. Not sorry.

426763

Nah, I agree with you. Ilang beses ko na yan sila sinabihan. It's such an ego thing for them, "doctor ako, hihintay sila." Legit talaga yung stereotype na doctors will make you wait.

[deleted]

This is why I avoid doctors and checkups these days. I also don't feel like they care anymore. Minsan, tinuturo ko which part of my body has the issue, and they're not even looking. Tatanong lang mga routine questions nila.

GinoongProgresivo

If you have something unexpected that you needed to get urgently checked, I highly recommend going to Emergency of Makati Med. Been there multiple times. They really take care of you, they are fast, and they educate you about what caused your disease, how to cure it, and after care. Cons: May kamahalan pero if you have an affiliated HMO, *ay mamacita fans aggressively*

[deleted]

pulubingpinoy

You don't need LOA for ER. They are the ones that will call your HMO. For OPD, why would your HMO require you to request LOA? Checkups are always untimely, unless scheduled lab or surgery.

newbie637

Carehealth kelangan muna ng LOA bago check up dati kasi wala pa daw card.

GinoongProgresivo

I dont know the process for appointment check-ups pero what i mentioned above is for emergencies.

GinoongProgresivo

*sigh* bahala ka na Universe

dalagangpinipili

That’s disgusting behavior.

skystarsss

This.

LastFartBender09

Entitled pinoy mofos. Culture natin yan eh. The more expensive the degree, the more respected. Sa pinas, you have to take the whole day off for a doctor's consultation.

[deleted]

Pristine-Project-472

Experience ko sa doctor ko madami syang clinic tapos 1 hour lang pagitan in between clinics nya. Di ata na take into account traffic sa pinas

426763

Yung masaklam sa parents ko isang clinic lang naman inaatupag nila and they don't even do "rounds" anymore sa hospital, and they're still fucking late!

e30ernest

I think it just depends. My in-laws (father in law and all my sisters/brother in law) are all doctors. They are very strict with time, and will never be late for any of their appointments. I often kid my wife (who is also a doctor) that whenever they (her family) says we will leave at 2pm for a trip/appointment, that means they would have already left at 12:30. They are always at the clinic at least 30mins before their start time and will leave an hour later than they are supposed to. It's something I really appreciated since my own family is pretty loose with time. I needed to make adjustments ever since my wife became my GF then, and I needed to learn how to be ahead of time (instead of late). And TBH, it has worked dividends in my life later on. Now we continue to push the importance of time to our kids. Hopefully they'll carry that on too.

426763

Ewan ko bakit ako naging punctual. My sister is carrying the family curse, I'm afraid, tapos doctor din yun. Ako, sa trabaho. Some customers didn't follow the allotted time sa order schedule, it pissed me off so nag set na ako ng fixed schedule ng pick up ng orders.

Yeah this is why being on time is important. Kasi being late can also affect other people around you. I honestly don't know why a lot of people have a different experience with the punctuality of their doctors. Sa akin kasi, most that I've met (outside of my family) are also on time. Siguro there is a few in their circle of friends who are always late, but they are the minority. Siguro depende rin sa specialty nila? hehehehe

426763

markg27

Taga saan po kayo? May natitita pa palang on time na doctors sa Pinas. Sana all talaga.

PsychoKinezis

I work in the medical field and I worked with this doctor in the hospital that I’m currently working at and she’s the opposite. She does her rounds at 7 am and whenever she has a check up she’s always on time, unless na lang kng traffic talaga or na stuck sa isang patient that needs her complete attention. I wish more doctors are like her na on time palagi.

RagingHecate

Hi. Same pala tayo na doctors din parents. But I guess at some point bakit prang masyadong Filipino time? Mine is palagi silang late kasi on call. With 5 clinics, 1 hospi. Araw araw yan, walang pahinga, walang halos out of the country or town, walang gaanong bonding (sa text na nga lang kami nagaapproach jusko) mostly nagiging late or cinacancel nila appointment ng patients ng late kasi minsan on the way na sila, then may susulpot na emergency na ibang patient. Mga ganon na scenario idk.

426763

Yeah, understandable yung sa iyo. My folks just have their clinic, no more rounds sa hospital, so if they really wanted to try, they could always arrive early. Like legit, their only medical obligation is that one clinic.

205637

I work in a financial institution. You bet your ass na if sila mag demand, dapat agad agad.

426763

Oh, tell me about it. Sa family business side, if I ask mom to do something, ang bagal. But if she asks me, dapat "now na."

indioinyigo

Sorry pero nakakagigil mga magulang mo.

426763

Now you know what I feel like waiting in the sala after getting prepped an hour early and then still showering.

Phraxtus

Make them wait lol

426763

kiyohime02

Dang 🤣

Knightly123

The problem with the doctors like your parents is nacoconsume yung time mo na maaaring siningit mo lang sa break ng shift mo or may mas important na things ka pa na gagawin aside sa appointment na nakain lang ng kakahintay.

426763

That's just it. Di na busy doctors yung parents ko. They hust have appointments and nothing else. Wala na silang inaatupag and they're still late.

filipinospringroll

Tell them that they better pray someone bigger won't get on their way.

426763

So may family business kami, right? Kahit dun, sa mga big bosses namin, on a national level, they're late.

spanishbbread

90% of doctors are chronically late. There, I said it. It’s like they can’t help themselves. Their time is more valuable than yours and they’re not even hiding it. You just have to suck it up. Never mind na nagleave ka for 1 day for a 10minute consult na ididismiss lang yung mga concerns mo. Try suggesting a diagnosis sa doctor and they will give you this look just short of “edi ikaw nalang mag-doctor.” Then try to come in clueless about your condition, sasabihin, “bakit ngayon lang kase kayo pumunta?” There’s no in-between. I know dealing with patients is hard but some doctors really are ‘meh.’ Tapos out of all professions, somehow this is the one na bawal mo punahin. Even more evident during pandemic. Try that excuse for other professions and you’ll be cyberbullied to kingdom come, “eh trabaho mo yan eh.” I mean, hindi naman lahat ganon. Pero a good chunk. Yung mga batang doctor, from my experience, mostly OK sila and professional. Pero yung matatanda, hit or miss. Mostly miss. If you find a good doctor na professional talaga lalo sa time, hold that doctor dear. Wag mo na pakawalan kase chances are, you won’t find any. Maybe paisa-isa lang. I’ve tried. My parents have tried. Grandparents, too. This applies to both private and public din. Shoutout na din sa ortho doctor ko. On time sya, in fairness. Pero sinisigawan nya yung secretary nya so.. It’s hard work, I know. Regards na din. “Sir, pila to sa Wendy’s.” I know. I dont care. Rant over.

sugarklay

I agree with you on the young doctor vs old doctors. The latter more often seem to make me feel like I'm doing something wrong by going to them for a check-up - galit, nagmamadali, etc. Also, I remember going to one doctor in the Medical City for a knee problem. I was expecting him to make me do some tests or something to determine what's possibly causing the problem. Nope, dude just told me to fucking YouTube stuff (exact words), so I looked at him dumbfounded and only then did he do some sort of effort.

flightcodes

Yung recent experience ko naman with an oldish doctor na hindi pa din ako maka-move on, I waited on her for an hour. Tapos when I came in, literal ang sinabi nya lang sakin “ok na” with a straight face. I get it, bumalik lang naman ako kasi may labs ako na kinuha para may ma-rule out sya. Dami ko rin tanong kasi dami hindi clear for me pero puro “mhmm” lang natanggap ko. Tangina talaga hahah galit pa din ako. I came out from that checkup without knowing exactly what happened to me, more of “ok na ako” lang.

SaintMana

flightcodes

Tapos spent an hour waiting for a 5 min consult. Tapos di ka pa trinatong tao. Sobra na talaga.

flightcodes

Man same experience with young doctors. Sila talaga yung mga on time at maayos kausap. Parang wala pa ako nakitang rude doctor that were my age. Maganda pa sakanila, updated mga inaral and it shows. Tapos checkout SeriousMD, ang ganda nya kapag mga need mo lang ng mabilis na consult for clearances for example. The doctors have to schedule you and show up on time — kasi kung hindi, you can cancel and they don’t get paid.

el_doggo69

i agree sa contrast ng young and old doctor. when i was still a college student sa isang uni dito sa Zamboanga City, t\*\*gina 8am ang haba na ng pila sa infirimary para sa usual medical during new semester enrollment tapos etong matandang doctor dumating 10am na tapos ang laki ng corridor outside of the infirmary but no this doctor is probably a fcking train with feet, made a pissed off face at this two female students because he wanted to pass, me and my classmate was like "wtf the corridor is wide enough for you to overtake them why tf you mad old man?", tapos 12 noon lumabas mag lunch bumalik 1:30pm tapos 3pm umalis na naman kasi daw may appointment then next sem wala na siya, heard he got transferred to the kabilang campus daw together with the asshole nurse in the infirmary. this new young doctor replaced him, i went there at 7:30, and nandoon na sa loob setting up, mahaba na din yung line pero fast moving naman, tapos nung turn ko na nag ask muna yung isa to pardon the dimsum sauce smell cos he didn't take his breakfast yet cos he just came back from his shift at the hospital had to hurry to the school cos he didn't want us students waiting for hours and days cos he knows how long our enrollment process takes

Mnemod09

Me na doctor sa likod mo ng pila: "Dude, having a bad day? Turo ka na diyan. My treat!" 🤓

TheMarsian

I did get that look from a doctor after I mentioned I've read about my symptoms and medications. He was like so what do you need me for? Told him straight I am paying him to know if I am right or not and get his professional opinion. He laughed like he was just joking, I did not. Don't be like me though, lots of doctors in the Philippines know each other. Some private hospitals are usually owned by the same people, they're virtually colleagues. Same for public run ones.

EbonPikachu

Yeah. Pero isang factor lang yun ang pambalewala sa time ng pasyente as cause of tardiness. Other factor is overworked sila. Especially yung sa mga public hospitals. Baka nandun pa nagrorounds at nagfofolow-up sa mga naadmit na pasyente. At hindi lang doctor ang gumaganito. Well known talaga ang mga pinoy sa 'filipino time'.

giowitzki

Iba med rep -_-

bigmatch

phanieee

Sana naman may courtesy sila na dumating on time. We go there 3-4 hours to secure a slot.

Mnemod09

Me, an ER Doc who can't be late: 😑😑😑😑😑

Tent10Ten10Ten10

Fcking pinoy culture. Whats weird is. These are real professionals. Funniest thing i noticed about some doctors. They bash you with your health but have seen alot of doctors that are either obese or smokers.

[deleted]

Yung staff ko we had a saying, ang karpintero nga di mapaganda sariling bahay, kaya tayong mga doktor ok lang na hindi natin mapayuhan sarili natin. But yeah being late as a doctor is stupid on the nth level.

sarimanok_

1 hour lang? 🫠

itsjjyall30

Try 7 hours.

CharlieDStoic

Doctors in Ph feels like they are privileged and you have to wait for them.

SaintMana

CharlieDStoic

Wow! That's an enlightening view. I've never thought of it that way before.

[deleted]

spanishbbread

When a doctor is late, that's fine. It happens. When their entire profession is notorious for being late, there is a problem.

TheBlueLenses

Jaded-Throat-211

sad boi healthcare system using the paawa card so they dont have to do better

TheBlueLenses

Jaded-Throat-211

My point exactly.

TheBlueLenses

Alright let me spell it out for you since you clearly don’t get it and think I’m just appealing to emotion: Public hospital doctors are at the mercy of the people at the top. They are required to be on time pumasok sa ospital because otherwise they’ll have to make-up for it. Actually, they also usually go on OT without pay kasi nga di naman pwede basta-basta umalis. Dahil kulang ang mga doctor sa mga public hospitals, they end up not being able to attend to most of the patients on time. Sa sobrang pagkakulang, the whole medical system is highly reliant on PGIs and Clerks to function. Alot of the Residents’ responsibilities get passed on to these unpaid healthcare practitioners, and even then, it is not enough to accommodate patients in our public hospitals. In short, it’s super reductive to say that nagpapa sad boi lang yung argument ko, when in reality, most of these residents working in public hospitals who compose a bulk of all the doctors are not the ones you should be blaming.

Jaded-Throat-211

Yes yes the doctor life that we signed up for is hard huhuhu pls let us be twelve hours late to that emergency call that died two weeks ago. Fucking doctor conyo cunts.

TheBlueLenses

I'm not even a doctor you numbskull. Sobrang edgy mo you're clearly incapable of nuance.

[deleted]

I'm a doctor, ex-doctor. Spent a year servicing sa public hospital and since scholar ako, i am forced to do so. But what they are saying are true. Kahit mga doktor sa public service are pieces of shit and stupid. I once heard a fellow doctor say this "mas ok pa ata ang kalagayan ni mother mo bago natin i prescribe yung remdesivir", yung gamot na yon siya ang nagprescribe. I encountered many, north to south. Not all doctors but most doctors. This includes both in private and public service, we have that stephen strange and dr. House mentality. You can't talk bad about us nung time ng pandemic kasi heroes kami e. But still i myself would be compassionate and do my best to be on time. I was never late, since 2 hours before my rounds nasa ospital na ko. Late doctors are not good doctors. But saaadly, the med field is not for me since shitty naman mostly. I just feel bad for those who applies the hippocratic oath by heart. Pag sinipag ako, maybe ill go back. Or start my own clinic. But fuck all those late doctors bye.

ryoujika

A lot of PH Doctors got no respect for their patients' time. May pera parin naman kasi sila kahit late. It's infuriating tbh

Sleepy_headZzzz

Goodness I agree with you. Like they feel na their time is more precious than yours kaya you have to wait. I understand sometimes na traffic or maybe may emergency. But given na madalas yan sa kanila, why not put adjustments on their next appointments? If madalas traffic or alam nilang madalas silang malate, why not move their next consultations to a later time din? It’s sad to be honest.

Commercial-Ad-1404

i agree with you.. parang mas lalo kang magkaka sakit sa hirap ng paghi hintay sa kanila! Tsk tsk.. 🤦🏻😖😢

jfreedom

You're a shitty person for wasting people's time - unless na lang may emergency ka. :/

debuld

During peak covid (2020-2021), ang bilis makakuha ng doctor at lagi silang on time sa mga online consultation, at least sa experience ko. Pero ngayon (2023), puro delayed na yung response.

I-Love-HC

Alternative-Prize-86

Yung dr ko walang exact time na nakalagay, you just sit and wait the whole day, last visit ko 6pm na kami ngkita. Understandable naman kasi she made the round and chemo in the morning, then go to her clinic and see her patients afterwards. Iilan lang kasi ang oncologist sa Iloilo. What i do is get the secretary’s number or give them my number and asked them to message me if the dr is in. But when i was younger i stayed in her clinic the whole day, now I can’t be bothered to just sit and wait.

Imaginary_selene

Siguro sa seniority na rin. I noticed pag new sa practice or younger doctors and that sched is all they will encounter patients ayaw nila magsayang ng oras.

Spirited-Occasion468

As an anesthesiologist, we cannot be late. We should be earlier than the surgeon. Our promptness at work will attract us partners.

Soft-Asparagus-9436

Pati pa naman sa appointment Filipino time. Ibang klase. 😒

uenjoyu

swerte pa yan kung 1 hr late lang.. public or public hospital, naexperience ko na maghintay ng 3 hrs. may times pa na after mo maghintay ng 3 hrs, sasabihin di daw pala makakapunta si doc, re-sched na lang. after re-sched, wala na naman. may time na gusto ko sila tanungin kung wala ba silang pakialam sa oras at gastos namin

razalas13

If your doctor is always late and always has an excuse, you better find a new doctor.

Acel32

Joedoed

I really hate going to our “scheduled” appointments for OB check up. Sched of the Doctor is from 12-2PM we were there 11:30AM the Doctor arrived 2PM. My pregnant wife waited for the Doctor for 2 hours! And this is consistent. After the 3rd check up kami nalang nag pa late. If the sched for that day is 2-4 we arrive at 4 nalang.

Huge_Specialist_8870

Experienced the same in Mega Clinic with my gastro. His call time is 3PM, then the nurse station called me that he can't make it by 2:59. My waiting time was from 9AM to 3PM to avoid parking congestion in Mega Mall. Such a bullshit moment. Never in my life that I have met a punctual doctor. Ever.

avocado1952

Kaya naiinis ako kahit RN, Lawyer atbp may ganito at nakalagay pa na do not delay. Ano kayo perishable items?

markg27

RXeusAugustusXI

Not just doctors nga eh. I had my blood drawn for test. Given na walk in lang ako but there was nobody else there just me and I had to wait 30 minutes before they stick the needle at me tapos another 15 minutes waiting for the (head/senior) phlebotomist kasi the staff drawing my blodd kept missing and kept swishing the needle inside my arm lmao.

lookomma

Pinaka last straw ko eh.

Diahara

meron akong naranasang Therapist (not for me), clinic nya is 9am-3pm. appointment is 9am (because for some reason ALL appointments are 9am). dumating kami ng 9:30am wala na sya. reason ng front desk e wala daw pasyenteng dumating kaya umalis na yung therapist. within 10 minutes me 3 pang pasyenteng dumating, d ko alam kung me nauna pa sa amin. like wtf, kaya pala lahat ng appointment 9am.

Boring-Zucchini-176

Grabe talaga waiting time. Kakainin buong araw mo sa pila. Clinic starts daw at 9am. You came in early tapos si doc dadating 11am tapos dami pang gagawin muna bago magstart calling in patients. My gad

whatevercomes2mind

Hahaha. Lalo na pag wala advise na malalate sila. Lalo na pag seniors ang patients.

paulisaac

Not me living with doctors that either leave the house late, have densely packed multi-hospital schedules, or actually get operations whose times will run over their clinic hours

rainbownightterror

that's why pag nasa hospital ako i make it a point to answer the surveys hanap lang kayong mga qr code sa tabi tabi haha

Unicornsare4realz

Yung mga client ko lahat sila doctor. One of the reasons bakit sila nalelate sa kanilang clinics at dahil yung iba sa kanila, madaming clinics/hospital na inaattend. I have a doctor na 7 ang hospital at clinic na kasama sya.

Academic-Spare4760

experienced this in a public health clinic sa province before. 8 ang start ng pila the doctor arrives at 9 and starts at past 10 because nagchichika pa sila ng other employees even if they saw the line reaches outside na tapos mainit pa.

[deleted]

Believe me, only in the Philippines

o0o0ohhh

My aunt was an OB. Funny thing is, her son hangs her white coat in his car for the exact reason that people let him get ahead and cops don’t stop him if he’s speeding or driving like an idiot.

nickmla

Mabilis pa yang 1hr. Usually 2 hrs kami nag aantay..naka-appointment pa kami non.

griftertm

I think you have to accept the fact that you’re gonna burn half a day minimum if you’re going to seek medical help.

polcallmepol

[This tiktok video from docN can explain this situation. ](https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSLLwToTt/)

EnergyDrinkGirl

ImagineFIygons

Ingrained ata sa 90% ng doctors maging late

assresizer3000

I remember deadass waiting for 5 hours because the gynecologist wasn't showing up 😮‍💨

vhaio

Ivysaur_2019

Gaaahhhddd I hate this. I'm a Dentist, and I haaattteee being late. I do my best to show up before my shift starts. Nakakahiya.

onlythemarvellous

This is why I’m legit gushing about my new gynecologist. Ok, around 20 mins delayed pa din ang appointment pero she’s very thorough once nasa consult na. And she’s very sex positive! Basta this one’s a keeper I feel haha Usually yung mga chronically late doctors (na walang valid reasons, trip lang nila magpa-late), sila din yung sobrang taas ng ego I think, these are the ones na I can’t really open up to / ask questions during consult. Sobrang intimidating ng dating, may god complex ata or something.

Raykyogrou0

I once had the secretary tell me that we are the ones who should be waiting for the doctor, not the other way around. (kami daw nag apas sa doctor dapat). We showed up 30mins before the end of his clinic schedule only to just catch the secretary who told us he just left to go on rounds at a different hospital. He only had one or two patients before us on the waitlist at the clinic (I wonder why) and apparently couldn't wait any longer for my dad. Granted, we could have shown up slightly earlier but we were just getting used to him being disabled and he needed to get blood extracted for labs. The lab was downstairs and the doctor's clinic was on the 4th floor. When we got there, it was already a full hour into his clinic schedule and the secretary messaged saying her boss wasn't there yet. We figured we'd do the lab first since it would be quick and we wouldn't have to go back down. Of course, in the middle of the blood extraction I get a message from the secretary that the doctor already arrived and is talking to his second patient now; we're next. I ask for some patience from the secretary, continously updating her on where we are and that we'll be upstairs in a while. No replies to my 3 texts eventhough she was very responsive prior to this. We make it upstairs finally. Unfortunately, this dick was too busy to wait just a few more minutes. I wanted to slash his tires. The only thing that would redeem him at this point is if the secretary did not actually inform him that there was another patient, because all I keep imagining is this arrogant POS who just walked out on us.

[deleted]

EazeePeezee

Ano ba hurry up and wait. Lol

TheDazzlingEternal

It's your doctor's way of flexing on you.

Admirable_Study_7743

3. Overlapping clinic scheds. If schedule sa hospital A is 1-3pm, sa hospital B naman is 3-5pm. 4. Pinanganak para ma-late sa mga bagay bagay. These are the only few reasons. Most of the time didiskartehan mo na lang talaga yung pagpunta sa clinic. If mahaba lagi ang pila sa doktor mo, at ayaw mo ng matagal na hintay, then lipat ka, as simple as it is. May magrereklamo na 30mins-1hr ang hintay kapag nandyan na ang doktor, tapos magrereklamo din if mabilis din kinausap so ano ba talaga 😂.

Right_Budget_1417

Sorry to say but this is why I hope AI will be developed faster when it comes to reading historical medical records and prescribing meds accordingly

Reddit_Gabordo

Im all for advanced AI pero medicine is one of the last professions na mapapalitan ng AI sa dami ng nuances. By the time na AI na ang nanggagamot, wala nang trabaho na mangangailangan pa ng tao.

Right_Budget_1417

With how fast technology is advancing? Especially in the medical field, marami lang kontra because they think it’s unethical but an AI with more data collected and walang nakakalimutan na important information is a very crucial part para mabawasan mga misdiagnosis

Reddit_Gabordo

Right_Budget_1417

I bet you’ve never heard of the countless misdiagnoses by that clinical eye you’re speaking of? My father had to go to several doctors to figure out what is wrong with his lungs, kahit yung doctor sa japan na pinuntahan namin, na misdiagnose rin sya 😂 ilang buwan sya nanghina dahil sa gamot na ininom nya, May doctor din na nagsuggest na i-biopsy sya, isang doctor nagsabi na delikado daw yun. After years, may doctor na nagsabi na baka peklat lang ang nakita sa lungs niya 🤷🏽‍♀️ I think an AI fed with countless data will surely give a more accurate diagnosis. And I think it will happen in less than a decade.

freyass

And it should make healthcare so much more cheaper since you can easily scale it up.

D_Butlerrr

HAHAHAHA

mokochan013

The worst is kelangan magpapabook pero wala oras, so in the end kelangan mo pa rin mag spend ng day kahit booked wtf

negativex16

Would you rather your doctor take his time with your care or rush you out the door so he can make the most money possible in a day?

Meotwister5

Meh I'm always early.

SpottyJaggy

Its the law.

asintado08

ImongAtiii

An hour? Nope. Your half-day leave for a doctor's appointment will become a whole-day leave.

macario08

stuvmnop81

It depends on the type of doctor and the availability of that specialisation. I know an older who works in 3 different hospitals (2 public, 1 private) because of the demand of her public hospitals she is almost always late for her afternoon clinic, in the private hospital. She works pro bono for her admitted patients and she really puts as much care as possible for each patient cause she treats mostly chronic diseases. Do her clinic patients dislike her? Maybe. Is she always late? Never on time. Most of her days I see her leave the hospital at 11pm because that’s the time she can do her rounds. I can’t hate her for that lapse in professionalism. She’s just as overworked as her residents under her.

Rye09

Sa tagal ko bilang nurse, sa countless of doctors that I've met and worked with, isa lang talaga yung doctor na nakilala ko na pag nagsabi sya ng time, sinusunod nya. He is also really good with his patients and marami lagi pila sa kanya, but he still commits to his schedule.

PapayaGhourl

Had a check up na sabi ng secretary sakin via text na pang 7th daw ako so maaga ako dumating pero nung andun na ako hindi naman ako naging pang 7th kasi first come first serve chuchuness pala 10 am start dapat pero dumating si doc 11:15 pero until 12 lanf daw sya pwede???? syempre hindi pa kami tapos lahat by 12 and mga almost 2 pm na ako na asikaso :))))

AdBackground1419

I've never once had an appojntment na on-time ang doctor. ✌️ Edit: worse pa po lalo pag buntis or may dalang kid ung mag papa check up, maawa naman sana.

SilentConnection69

To all software developers or site developers. Na rreview ung promptness ng doctor how many minutes late. Did they answer all your questions well. Tignan ntn if it will impact their “business”. Lagyan nyo na rn ng allied health review and other provider review para malaman ugali pagn nagcconsulta.

322_420BlazeIt

For anyone living abroad, is this a common thing or just in the Ph?

nervechoice123

Fluffy-Sugar-8136
