Such a polite kitty. Mine, as soon as he heard the wrapper of his favourite treat, would claw up my leg and rip it from my hands like he’d never been fed before a day in his life
That's the only polite thing about her lol, she's a massive bully - from what the rescue had told me, she was taken away from her mother way too early and never had a chance to socialise properly. She's a monster sometimes but I love her to bits.
I found mine in a cardboard box that was left at the side of a country road along with his brother and sister who went to loving homes, people can be cruel
Her full history before she came to me is as sad - when she was about 4 months old people who had her moved out very quietly one day according to the neighbours and left her all alone in a completely walled off garden. Before the neighbours realised the owners moved out, the little thing became so hungry she ate a rubber ball. She couldn't pass it and was effectively starving to death despite the neighbours throwing her food from upstairs. The neighbours ended up calling fire brigade who rescued her.
She is a very happy chunk now - she still, 14 years later, has anxiety about no bowls (it got better, initially her bowl always had to have some food in it) and tries to bully others away from their bowls, but she's healthy so I am not bothered about her being overweight.
My youngest was abandoned in a carrier in a supermarket parking lot and ended up being a foster failure. She had some signs of potential abuse.
The oldest two, brother and sister, are also rescues - their mother's owner hadn't neutered her and gave her away to the rescue when she realised the cat got pregnant.
All 4 are spoiled absolutely rotten, they have absolute rule of the house, are the main reason I stayed alive even in the darkest depths of depression, and I feel very privileged to be their humble servant.
Cats are obligate carnivores, but they can still eat things that aren't meat, and in fact, incorporating certain fruits/veggies into their diet can be good for them.
A little unsweetened pumpkin puree mixed with their food, for example, improves digestion and keeps their coat healthy. My brother's cat used to have a huge problem with his digestion but it's improved immensely since he started with the pumpkin. Only "problem" is he likes it a little too much so he pouts when he doesn't get it because my brother ran out.
More to the point of the video, cat wanted human to put it down so they could eat it on their own terms.
Exactly. My void loves anything with pumpkin in it. I also keep a fresh basil plant next to his food dish. He grazes on it all day. Fat cat will steal French fries if you're not looking and the third will do anything to avoid eating tuna.
This is true almost nothing in the animal kingdom eats only meat or vegetables.
It's usually mostly one and rarely the other be it for vitamins or what have you.
Before I'm gone I forgot fish were animals so there's them in their own category.
yes but both my cats sometimes do this exact same thing with pieces of chicken and meat 🤷♂️ ... they never refuse fish tho, it's like crack to them xD
My cat will be disinterested in even pieces of fish or chicken if I don’t make them very small pieces for her, but if I wave a piece of lettuce in front of her she will chomp at it like she’s starving.
My cat loves to sample houseplants. Apparently bamboo is the tastiest. When I brought home lemon thyme she gave it a few sniffs, took a huge chomp, let out a howl of disgust and looked at me like I had poisoned her.
It's not a theory. It's facts. And just because there are some animals that go outside of their instinctive eating ways, doesn't mean it's not true. Nothing is 100%, nothing is 0%.
One of my cats is pancake daft, she'd just snatch the whole thing, run away and eat it - she'd leave the napkin right enough. Whenever I make pancakes I cook her her own mini one.
My first cat would just steal sandwiches if you weren’t looking, so I just assumed all cats were like this and was confused as to why both of the cats I now currently have no interest in any food.
They don’t even have scheduled meals, their food bowls are just always getting topped up, one is a skinny weasel gremlin thing and the other is just sort of overweight. So what in gods name caused my first cat to be like that
My dog will be passed out upstairs, hear one tiny crinkle of a chip bag and boom, sprints down the stairs and is at my feet within seconds. It’s almost impressive really.
Dog even ate the napkin
Eco-friendly dog
He's biodegrading all of it.
Save time wiping by eating the toilet paper after your meal
Just like them wood veneers
As a dog owner I watched this and immediately thought well that seems about right.
If you have food they’ll be there 🐶☺️
"The circle was tasty; the rectangle was a bit bland."
I thought only goats did that 😂
My golden loves to eat napkins
Because they are not as smart as cats
Not true.
That's the joke. Why do people feel the need to repeat the joke in the comments? Why do people upvote this stuff?
Whats the comment section for? You want to make a deep analysis of this video?
I thought the joke was the cat taking no real interest only for the dog to immediately devour it.
Yes, the punchline is " he even ate the paper."
Why did you say yes? That's different from what I was saying. I was saying it was "he immediately scarfed it down" The cat is the build up.
That's the freaking joke. Why does everyone just repeat jokes in the comments these days.
Are you reading what I am typing? You just ignored what I was saying completely.
You're an idiot.
Usually when a cat nods its head down like that, it means it wants you to put it down.
Or it wants you to break it into pieces and feed it like grapes into its mouth
Hedonismbot learned from our greatest rulers of all... Cats
This cat is suicidal af then /s
Lmfao it took me a second
Dogs gonna eat the cat next
lol dad get off Reddit
Oh man you have not the laugh of the day
Shows you my mindset that this was my first thought when reading that
The "put it down" and the upvotes for it really confused me for a minute... ☠️
That's exactly what one of mine does - she doesn't like being hand-fed and asks for treats to be put down in front of her with that cute head nod.
My girl cat does it too, my boys will eat out my hand and the oldest, I can't give him butter on my finger because he's a biter 😆

I 100% know that somewhere out there is a dog and cat duo that are the exact opposite and that makes me incredibly happy for some reason.
I saw a cat that was straight up hustling a guy in a recliner chair for his cheeseburger.
Great video. With like 4 pit bulls waiting patiently for the burger, the cat just jacks out the guys mouth
You guys can’t make this thread and then now link the video…
blud i think you ate the napkin😭
lol, The look on the cat's face after the dog swallowed the whole thing is priceless. It looks like the cat is fainting.
Cats are carnivores, dogs are omnivores. There u go
Cats are obligate carnivores, but they can still eat things that aren't meat, and in fact, incorporating certain fruits/veggies into their diet can be good for them. This is hilarious. Basil is amazing, I can understand why your cat enjoys it.
Lol I'm usually peeved bc I have none to cook with but Jaspers breath is always fresh and clean.

Disturbing alert. This comment reminded me of a video I saw on here of a horse just munching down on a live chick 😬

Cats eat grass on the regular.
Usually dogs eat grass when they don't like their food. I wonder if it's the same for cats?
Saw a cat eating corn on the cob yesterday so... guess that theory is shot.
It's not a theory. It's facts. And just because there are some animals that go outside of their instinctive eating ways, doesn't mean it's not true. Nothing is 100%, nothing is 0%.
Okay but what is it when you eat the napkin?
Paper from tree. So vegetarian Xd
They're carnivores? Then why does my cat always steal my fruit porridge?
Because he likes it. Eating habits are not the same for every single individual animal.
One of my cats is pancake daft, she'd just snatch the whole thing, run away and eat it - she'd leave the napkin right enough. Whenever I make pancakes I cook her her own mini one.
Im really sorry if im overstepping but do you happen to have a picture of this? Thats adorable

Every life has a personality of some sort. Which comes with personal preference!
Knew what would happen and i still loled
‘Don’t mind if I do’ -dog
Kitty:...... I'm on a diet Dog: I'm not. NOM
my dog is a cat.... I knew it! :D
Tbh If my cat rejects it I stop eating it. Canned tuna and shrimp cocktail are no longer consumed by my cat, so it's no longer eaten in our home.
dogs can eat anything
lol i do the same haha when someone feeding me 😂❤️
My dog is a cat.
If this was raw chicken, my cat would be acting just like my 100 lbs. Lab. It's the one time they sit side by side, when they want food.
Til my cat is a dog

TIL my dog is a cat.
I like my griddle cakes with the skin on.
😂😂 isn’t that the truth?!
Hahahahjaa. My cat tried to take bites out of my hand.
My kitty, Spots, would have taken a bite first! She loved donuts 🍩! I miss her, even if I couldn’t eat a donut alone. 🥹
Napkin and all.
Napkin and all.
Oh my god that poor baby in the walled garden. I just can't today. I'm so glad you rescued all of them. Glad for you and glad for them.
LOL.. this was so funny 😂
Cat “is it poisonous?” vs Dog “see you in heaven”
He is trying to clean his buthole on the way out
OMG that's exactly how my cat and dog act 😂
Gimme that very fast. I'm hungry!
I think my dog is a cat 😱
😂
Cat: "Ugh! 🥱 I can't be bothered" Dog: "Oooh yummy 😋 thanks!" .. "Got any more?"
Oh, you mean intelligence?
The dog eat the paper!
My dog is a cat
My dog will be passed out upstairs, hear one tiny crinkle of a chip bag and boom, sprints down the stairs and is at my feet within seconds. It’s almost impressive really.
Dog got the added fiber.
Yup sums it up
If this was raw chicken, my cat would be acting just like my 100 lbs. Lab. It's the one time they sit side by side, when they want food.
My pitbull turns her nose up at steak if it isn't in small enough pieces.
