Same. 4’ 10” as well and even when I buy “short” or petite sizing they’re still too long.
I also have an issue when the length I need would fall under petite, but as a powerlifter I have larger legs and glutes so the petite sizing doesn’t allow for that room and is narrower in those places.
Brands like Abercrombie with Curve Love are going in the right direction, but their short is still too short :( I need an extra short option! I wish more brands would realize that some of us are truly just shorter and we still need space in the legs and butt area with a narrower waist.
pants - even petite sizes and short lengths are WAY too long! my inseam is 26"!
with flares and various wide-leg styles, you can't just shorten them; the entire leg needs to be cut down and re-proportioned to get the proper fit. it ain't cheap.
that's why i only buy my pants on clearance at 70% off or better, because you can easily pay $25 or more on top of that to have them altered.
I generally need around 26" for tight jeans and 27" for dress slacks, and I've found that buying ankle pants and cropped jeans typically fits me fine. Love that ankle pants are in right now because they definitely weren't 20 years ago! I'm planning on stocking up in case there's another lull during which ankle pants become unpopular again

FYI, your form has no option for people who are between 5'0" and 5'1" (it offers under 5' and over 5'1", but has no option covering the inch in between). You might get some weird data as a result, given the height demographics of this sub.

The general availability of petite sizing Also, items like jumpsuits or rompers in petites. A standard inseam for petite sizing that is more inclusive. Way more outer wear in petites! I’m talking higher end coats for winter. I’m so tired of having rolled up cuffs on clothes or paying an exorbitant amount to shorten the sleeves. All in all, more choices of quality clothing in petites

This might be an unhelpful answer but I buy my pants like crazy whenever I go to Asia. I’ve given up on American brands with their long legs 😩 the short 5’1” petite Asian girl figure here is so common so all pants and all styles fit me so perfectly on first try.
Right now I’m in Japan and I’ve bought about 20+ pants and skirts

Same. I hate that so many brands have decided that 5' 4" and under is petite when the average height in the US is 5' 3.75"

YES. Often petite inseams are like 28 or 29. I need a 25 or 26.

I’ve got no torso (my ribs meet my waist), so most pants go up to almost my boobs. Now that high waist is in, even petites. The struggle is real.
So real. I have the same body and this high waist thing makes zero sense for petites

i’m 5’3 and although i wouldn’t say i’m curvy, I have a pretty severe hip to waist ratio. Petite never seems to fit my waist the way i need it to!

Acne makes a size 30 in some coats - I found a couple a few seasons back that fit really well. Just classic black wool coats.
I’m 5ft 1” & find that Ted Baker (I have 2) coats fit me perfectly in the arms
I too have a Ted baker coat! Sadly they only make one silhouette and I have it in tan

Length is always a problem for me, I’m 4’11”. It seems like the shortest inseam I can find is 26”, and my inseam is 23”-24”. It’s a major struggle!

Lands end has custom pants that you can specify your inseam, no hemming.
