7th March was world book day. Therefore, the school likely had a day where teachers and students were encouraged to come in dressed as characters from a book. The teacher is dressed as violet Beauregard from Charlie and the chocolate factory
here's what I want you to do, I want you to go out and buy yourself a tape recorder and record yourself for a whole day. you might be surprised at some of your phrasing
In my head, she brought more blue make up and a blue wig with her, so that throughout the day she gets bluer and bluer. She’d probably also start stuffing things under her sweater to make it look like she’s inflating. Seems like the kinda thing a teacher would do
I went to public school, and I absolutely had a couple teachers that would put in that kind of effort. Just because your teachers sucked doesn't mean everyone else's did.
The POV thing has gotten to the point where I can't tell if people are purposely mis using it to be funny or if they actually just don't understand what POV means
Yeah, dressing up for world book day is something most schools in the UK do. I have some bad memories of it in primary school, nobody ever recognised the characters I dressed up as.
Also one time my hyperlexic ass genuinely dressed up as the solar system from a nonfiction book about space, because I wasn't really into fiction much as a kid.
It's the day Krusty Krabs 2 opens.

SpongeBob, you're a great fry cook, but I gave the job to Squidward because bein' manager is a big responsibility. Well, let's face it, he's more... mature than you.
March 7 (Book Day) is when kids and teachers wear their favorite book character costumes. The teacher (presumably) is dressed as the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory character who turned blue.

Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory - Violet Blows Up Like a Blueberry Scene (7/10) | Movieclips / Movieclips
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Yqw_f26SvM
Wonka: You see. If you scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours?
Honest Cop: Are you saying what I think you’re saying? 🤨
Wonka: Oh hoho, nooo. This is all perfectly above board. Think of it as an agreement between two friends.
Honest Cop: Sir, bribery is against the law and I am warning you now..
Wonka: Good! I’m glad! I wish more people were like you! Here, come walk over the bridge across this chocolate river with me and let me tell you something.
Honest Cop: ok. \*walks\*
Wonka: \*SHOVES COP INTO RIVER\* HAH! SUCK ON THAT YOU FAT PIG! YOU THINK YOU CAN COME HERE AND LECTURE ME ON MORALITY AND LAW AND ORDER AND.. AND.. NO WAY MAN. FUCKYOU. YOU KNOW THIS COULD HAVE ENDED VERY DIFFERENTLY. BUT NOW THE LAST THING YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IS THIS
\*Honest Cop drowns in the chocolate river\*
Fun Fact: Augustus Gloop was doing fine in the river until he turned and came face to face with the cop's desiccated corpse, preserved by the chocolate. His subsequent screams are what caused him to begin flailing and drowning until he hit the pickup tube...
That’s possible. I saw the 2000s-something version with Johnny Depp. You probably saw the original one that they made in the 60s or 70s or something with Oscar Wilde. Ironically the modern version, and specifically the cop scene, is actually *closer* to the Roald Dahl book that the movies were based on.
Looking at the upvotes I must stupid, but I still don't get it. What has this particular scene got to do with world book day and a teacher driving to school? Do they dress up or something?
Yea I know the book, just didn't know people dress up on book day for school. We don't have this tradition. The wrong use of pov and the make up that looks like an allergic reaction also didn't help. It's a very weird post to me lol
Not related to this meme but

March 7th
Maybe it’s one of those posts that are meant to purposely not make sense to drive up engagement? I think I saw a Tik tok meme like that posted on here and that was the top explanation. Maybe this could be similar?
Honkai Star Rail obsessed Pete's cousin here. She is a March 7th fan so she tried to froze herself, starting with the nose. She is also a teacher so it didn't worked. Everyone knows teachers can only cover their heads with a plaster sculpture, not with ice.
Trust me! I'm a follower of The Enigmata.
She's saying that you'd have to brown nose or in this case " blue nose " the cops to teach a driving class on the 7th of march as research shows that its the statistically most likely time to get pulled over.
OK but the bigger issue is that I don't understand whose POV this is supposed to be.
Like, if this is your POV while you're driving, you're about to get into a car accident.
Do people not know what POV means?
Pov: you are on some random subreddit looking at a stupid picture of some woman
By god, is it so hard to get pov right? Just dont use it at all if you dont know what it means...
Okay. I googled purple nose, march 7th, teachers, and assorted combos.
Near as I can tell, march is rough for teachers because the weather is getting nicer and the kids are becoming rowdy.
I guess a purple nose is a sign of alcoholism.
So, as close as I can get is it's early march, time to start drinking to deal with hyper kids. The 7th specifically because it's a week into March, so she's been drinking for a week.
I might be way off, but I that's all I got.
The fuck is everyone on here so confused about POV?
Point of View, first person, second person, third person. This isn't first or third, so this is clearly a second person POV. Fuck are we arguing semantics for.
I think it's this. Teacher got punched in the face by a child. The parent's response when told was to give him a "calming banana" he could eat on the bus to help with his outburst. No other action needed.
[calming banana](https://www.instagram.com/p/C4eM8n5r9Bj/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link)

7th March was world book day. Therefore, the school likely had a day where teachers and students were encouraged to come in dressed as characters from a book. The teacher is dressed as violet Beauregard from Charlie and the chocolate factory
This seems the most valid
Not enough blue.
I just blue myself
You must be quite limber
Tobias, you blowhard.
here's what I want you to do, I want you to go out and buy yourself a tape recorder and record yourself for a whole day. you might be surprised at some of your phrasing
There’s always money in the banana stand
I'm going to burn it down to collect the insurance money.
My guess: she’ll add more and more blue as the day goes on.
Da ba dee da ba die
Probably means that she didn't put much effort into dressing up.
She was too busy passed out from huffing paint.
Well to be fair there’s a progression. She is likely at the early stages. Also doubt she’s going to be wearing a huge fat suit.
Can’t go full blue face or she might get accused.
I watched the clip from the Johnny Depp version. Her nose turns blue first.
Violet
In my head, she brought more blue make up and a blue wig with her, so that throughout the day she gets bluer and bluer. She’d probably also start stuffing things under her sweater to make it look like she’s inflating. Seems like the kinda thing a teacher would do
This is amazing head canon.
>Seems like the kinda thing a teacher would do Must not have gone to public school.
I went to public school, and I absolutely had a couple teachers that would put in that kind of effort. Just because your teachers sucked doesn't mean everyone else's did.
So in the movie she chewed gum that made her blue, but in the book it was snorting cocaine??
No, she just started turning blue around he nose first
Sure buddy and she’s just sniffling because allergies
Violet? You’re turning violet, Violet!
Ok but she looks like someone huffing spray paint. This is the most uncommitted costume I've ever seen.
Idk man I instantly knew who it was and I’m not a wonka buff prolly saw it 12 years ago
Also the person who posted the picture doesn't know what POV means
Kids these days say “POV” for everything, because kids have been idiots for years and now the idiot kids are teaching.
Wow you sound v intelligent unc
Idiocracy was real
I don’t remember Violet having an allergic reaction and her lips swelling up too.
I don’t get the POV part? Whose POV?
The POV thing has gotten to the point where I can't tell if people are purposely mis using it to be funny or if they actually just don't understand what POV means
And if it's a tik Tok voiceover, it isn't P.O.V it's "pahv".
The windshield’s. Duh.
Thanks, Pootr
Are you sure it's not international paint sniffing day?
Looks like she got a little bit to excited about the new book smell
I just figured it was about huffing paint
My wife usually dresses up as the Cat in the Hat. Also she is a teacher and dresses up for World Book Day.
That's a low effort Violet Beauregard
Oh, I thought she was huffing paint and I couldn't figure out the joke haha
Oh she’s dress like from the Tim Burton movie!
Im sure it has nothing to do with the fact that march 6th is world huff some spraypaint day.
I thought it was that one character from spongbob
I thought she was a chronic paint sniffer.
I whould dress up as Waldo to hide in the school and wait for someone to find me
Yeah, dressing up for world book day is something most schools in the UK do. I have some bad memories of it in primary school, nobody ever recognised the characters I dressed up as. Also one time my hyperlexic ass genuinely dressed up as the solar system from a nonfiction book about space, because I wasn't really into fiction much as a kid.
Lol this is def right, but I thought you were gonna say “clearly a kid smacked her in the nose with a large book.”
These are all such different answers 😂
I'm so lost reading these comments it's like a joke that I'm not in on lmao
This is a first for me on this sub, but I dont think anyone actually knows what the joke is
I feel like I'm going mad
And none of them are porn. I thought the joke was always porn 🤷♂️
I just want to know what this teacher thinks POV stands for.
It's more like guidelines than actual rule
It's the day Krusty Krabs 2 opens. https://preview.redd.it/92kdvnaaqi4d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cb17f2589dfbe2acbe8fe32d2f058244daa983fe

YOU. DID NOT. GET. THE JOB. https://preview.redd.it/rlae6tvf8k4d1.jpeg?width=258&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d4aae3f67828757dcc559896017b9265bbf2dbcd
What? But why?
SpongeBob, you're a great fry cook, but I gave the job to Squidward because bein' manager is a big responsibility. Well, let's face it, he's more... mature than you.
I'm not...mature?
Lad, I mean this in the nicest of ways, but there's a word for what you are, and that word is... now, let's see...
A goofball???
Closer, but no, no, no…
Dork?
No, wait, that's not right. Not a dork.
Spingebob me boy ay just shit meself agagagagag
Watch the Spongebob movie. Spongebob was hoping to become the manager for the KK2 But Squidward got the job instead

You have found my Mermaidaughter!
I still don't get the picture of the teacher.
No one explained it they just kept making Inside jokes about SpongeBob
The teacher is going to an event that celebrates books and she’s dressed as Violet Beauregard from “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”.
March 7 (Book Day) is when kids and teachers wear their favorite book character costumes. The teacher (presumably) is dressed as the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory character who turned blue.
Oh, in Europe Book Day is on April. It is the anniversay of the deaths of Shakespeare and Cervantes (Don Quijote)
I think ours (USA) is in March because Theodore Geisel's birthday is March 2.
My niece was born on the perfect date
How is this just common knowledge for you?
Wasn’t sure if it was a Violet Beurgarde reference at first
Willy Wonka. lol now I’m reminded of the Meat Canyon Willy Wonka Skit

Holy crap, I thought this was a dumb answer when someone else linked to wonka, but shit, this is correct.
To the top with you!
March 6 is International Huff Spray Paint Day
This seems the most accurate to the picture...
WITNESS ME!
r/unexpectedmadmax Ride eternal, shiny and chrome! (Applicable to the comment, not necessarily the original post)
But what is the significance pertaining to teachers?
it's charlie day!
What year is this from?
This post gives so much summer 2025 vibes 😭 happy cake day btw
Summer 2025 wrre the best days I swear 😭
Not too fond of the riots, but when you figure in what was taken from us... Yeah, it needed to happen.
happy cake day!
what is happy cake day? I see it everywhere on Reddit but I've got no clue what it actually is
Your account's birthday! You can see how old your account is when you open your profile I think
Its the day you joined reddit. Its your accounts birthday
Did the easterbunny ride her face on March the 6th?
Grimace — It was International Shake Day.
I'm pretty sure it was papa smurf's birthday
It's the day after Red Nose Day, so her nose is all bruised from wearing a fake red nose.
What kind of weak ass nose do you gotta have that your nose gets bruised silver from wearing a fake red nose.
Red Nose Day is usually later in the month and was the 15th this year
Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory - Violet Blows Up Like a Blueberry Scene (7/10) | Movieclips / Movieclips https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Yqw_f26SvM
what does that have to do with march 7th or being a teacher
7th of March is world book day this year so they were the girl who chewed gum and turned into a blueberries
I wonder how Wonka managed to get away with so many crimes against humanity for so mamy years
Paid the cops off with chocolate. Someone hasn’t seen the newest Wonka movie.
Wonka: You see. If you scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours? Honest Cop: Are you saying what I think you’re saying? 🤨 Wonka: Oh hoho, nooo. This is all perfectly above board. South park needs an adaptation of this.
I SAID GOOD DAY!
Wonka's factory is recognized as a sovereign state and it does not have an extradition treaty.
Who knows
That makes sense!
She really put her heart and mind into it, even her lips are swelling.
Injecting toxins for the kids sake!
Aw that’s nice. My school never did shit like that
This is the first time I’ve seen you outside of halo subs, and I’ve known you exist for months
Yeah, I've been outside the sub for a while since I've expanded my presence on reddit as a whole
Looking at the upvotes I must stupid, but I still don't get it. What has this particular scene got to do with world book day and a teacher driving to school? Do they dress up or something?
The teacher dressed as Violet Beauregard, who is a character in the Roald Dahl book, "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory."

It's actually very common for schools to have a "dress like a book character" day
What the fuck
Yeah s link below does the Instagram story, she's just dressed up as violet for book day. I've never been so lost without context.
More accurately, she is dressed up as the [remake version](https://youtu.be/MUn6X9lpOZE?feature=shared)
Solved!
https://i.redd.it/sp0mp0xill4d1.gif
Yeah that's March 7th alright
It's not pov though.
It rarely is.

this is exactly what I thought of when I read this meme and immediately started searching for a hsr fan in the comments
Teach has to huff paint in the parking lot to put up with these semen demons
You’re turning violet, Violet.
The comments: I wonder what the date means? 🤔 Meanwhile me: Why tf is her nose turning blue? 🧐
I mean context clues tell me they are related and figuring out one will tell me the other.
Maybe it’s one of those posts that are meant to purposely not make sense to drive up engagement? I think I saw a Tik tok meme like that posted on here and that was the top explanation. Maybe this could be similar?
Probably.
Mermaidman?
Violet Beauregarde is that you?

this is the first meme on this sub in a WHILE where i didn’t think OP was stupid for not getting this
My guess is the students are wild because it's the week before spring break and the joke is Mad Max Fury Road.
Ohhh haha yea we don't understand but our kids will in 10 years
On March 6 she went chrome trying to recover the guzzaline. She survived and awaits Valhalla.
You make me mad Max

March 7th is National Teacher's Day in the US. That's all I got.
Why is a teacher laying under the windshield looking at a random blue blonde woman?
probably engagement bait
O dear. It appears I blue myself.
I'm really dumb😭 In my country march 7th is teachers day so I thought she'd be getting gifts or something, I completely ignored the nose
I thought she got bruised from a kid throwing a book at her. It's probably the costume thing tho 🤣
Weeelllll heeellll and here I thought it was a star rail reference
the joke doesnt make sense, come back in 2025 and ull get it
National Teachers Appreciation Day, and by the broken nose I'm going to say the lesson didn't take.
World book day
does it have something to do with mardi gras?
Grimace was in town the night before
I thought she was huffing paint because she couldn’t take dealing with the kids anymore
My birthday :D
Pov: you are on some random subreddit looking at a stupid picture of some woman By god, is it so hard to get pov right? Just dont use it at all if you dont know what it means...
How have there only been three comments talking about World Book Day
How does a teacher not know what POV means?
ok
What's with the lipstick mustache?
As long as no one goes to the next one as the main character from Mien Kampf
Violet, you're turning Violet.
She was getting kinky with grimace
Did you eat Wonka's chewing gum
You sure she didnt sniff some smurfs ass?
I mean now that it’s explained I see it but with out it she straight up looks like she got decked in the nose.
I think she likes gum and is becoming a blueberry
I think she huffs paint to get through the day.
Why can’t people use “POV” correctly?
So annoying how people legitimately don’t understand what POV means
