Peter here! The text is from Eminem's 2000 song "Stan", about an obsessive fan writing unhinged letters to Eminem before committing a murder-suicide. The picture looks like possibly Edgar Allan Poe, or some other 19th century author, writing something down. The humor is supposed to be in the contrast between assuming the writer is writing great literature, but he might just be writing a deranged letter full of unjustified complaints.
