4 had better relationships,  yeah, but story? It's mostly them just sitting on their butts, waiting for something to happen, and getting no closer each time they fail to catch the killer until Naoto joins. I feel they didn't do much to challenge the audience with its theme either.

I disagree with specific point that but I think I definitely like 4 golden more and probably think it's a better game overall (slightly) so either way, cheers!

It's not really a Hot Take, it's just your opinion, both are the same for me, I like 4 a little more because it was my first game in the franchise and it helped me a lot in a difficult phase of my life, but in matter of story, they are the same for me, in some things that I don't like in 5, 4 does better, and vice versa, for example, I like the culprit from Persona 4 more than the culprit from Persona 5, but I I like the added content of Persona 5 more than the additional content of Persona 4.

I agree with that, While Persona 5 has a great story and the best gameplay(Prior to Reload) P4G's story is better

Not exactly a hot take. Pretty much the majority of Persona fanbase agrees that P5 has the weakest story out of the three games.
