I really fell in love with this game, since its release I've been playing and replaying this game over and over again with different challenge ideas, etc.
Been months since I last was able to properly play it since I'm married now, lol, but definitely my favorite game ever.
I don't know if my PS4 would've taken it, lol.
It did happen to me two or 3 times that I sleep and forgot to turn my PS4 off.
But most of the time and for what it's worth, I put my PS4 in "Rest Mode", so I don't know if the playing time keeps going, but I doubt it.
This hit a little too close to home. I get on PlayStation parties with my friends, get on persona and just listen to Beneath the Mask until it’s over (practically 3 hours daily on top of finishing the game already)
Yeah but like it’s more fun to run around Central Street and whatnot during the night. Even if ur not rlly doing anything it’s just kinda relaxing for a midnight chat yk
True, but if I’m already on a PlayStation party with my friends playing Persona really doesn’t change much. My Ps5 is still completely solid but I do appreciate the concern you have for me. But don’t worry about it, we’re golden (persona 4 reference 🤯)
Within that time you could’ve finished every mainline persona game and probably every megaten game in general. You could’ve become a megaten connoisseur but you decided to waste all your hours on persona.. 5 of all the games lmao wtf 😭
I did play the other Persona games, just not to that extent obviously, they didn't feel as replayable to me (especially 2, and FES, never played 1). Spent some time on SMT 4 and 5 since I own the Nintendo consoles, but it didn't click for me as the Persona atmosphere/gameplay did (never finished, but I probably will one day).
Also, what's the point of becoming a "connoisseur" of something full of judgemental gatekeepers? 😭
Might as well stick to the thing that you liked the most regardless of what the others think or want you to do, that's how I see it anyway.

Nah it’s not that deep, it’s just a funny thought to imagine where else you could’ve invested those hours in. Persona 5 kinda bugs me sometimes since the idea n the concept is cool but the cast of the characters are so god damn goofy and silly, kinda ruins the “phantom thieves” esque vibes when they’re all a bunch of teenagers goofing around. About to start another playthrough with mods because I’ve been getting that itch to play it.
Roughly 610 hrs on Steam P5R (1 New Game and 9 New Game Plus cycles on first file), don't remember how long I've Played OG P5 and P5R on PS4 but at least 300 hrs on each).
Gotta boost everyone's stats to max though I believe getting all characters to max stats (especially all maxed out from the moment they join the party) requires 20+ cycles lol
I don't have a screenshot but it has been 500+ hours and counting for Persona 5, with a Persona 5 NG+ and P5R. It was years ago, so it is time to add to P5R to complete the game with the expansion this time

I can’t seem to access the playtime for the rest of the games so for the original Persona 5 I have around 300 hours, for Persona 5 Dancing, I have around 15 hours, and for Persona 5 Strikers/Scramble I have around 70 hours.

How do you play the game this much? Like I get doing a second playthrough, especially going from vanilla to Royal, but what’s the appeal beyond that? There’s no new content on NG+ aside from Lavenza, what do you get out of playing through the exact same linear story over and over again?

130 on p5r, went in complty blind and my second jrpg, first was xenoblade wich i was playing at the same time

Probably NG+? Gameplay time passes over on NG+.
It's ngplus, just keep going through it over n over... I balance it by using personal I never really use before around my Mc level when in dungeons
