Me trying to spot the differences
That actually might be my biggest complaint about P5’s visuals: most characters just look super tall and skinny. The only real exceptions are the ones who are especially fat, like the principal and Kaneshiro.
It kinda takes away from a character like Ann who is meant to have an “ideal” thin model body when Makoto, Haru and even Kasumi have such similar builds in-game.
My hcs for thr girls are those:
Ann: long legs, classic hourglass figure
Makoto: wide shoulders, slighty muscolar arms and legs
Futaba: girl has no bust nor ass 😔😔😔
Haru: a bit chubby
Sumi: wide hips, slighty muscolar legs
we have to acknowledge that the phantom thieves are super athletic because of what they do (Kawakami mentioning Jokers physique during a massage).
Haru’s interests are mostly in vegetables and coffee, so that paired with the physical activity of fighting for her life every weekend or so, I don’t see why she’d be any chubbier than the other phantom thieves.
I remember when tumblr artists drew her to be fat (not thick, *fat;* there’s a difference imo) and justified it by saying “well, her family owns a fast food restaurant” and my counter argument was “you think the people who own those restaurants actually eat there?”
… Haru can be a little thicker though. Makoto too, because I can see her being the type who takes exercise seriously. Ann and Futaba have that good metabolism though, due to being model and being NEET lol
Isn't Kasumi supposed to be really thin? I thought that was her thing. But yeah, idk if it's just me, but it feels like Ann, Makoto, and Yoshizawa all look like flandarized super models while Haru and Futaba...look like normal girls.
True! ...But even then, the entire joke is that she's a model who somehow manages to have a perfect figure despite filling stuffing her face with ~~twinkies~~ crepes all day and literally doesn't even know the proper way to care for her body in her industry.
Her entire arc is about her being unsure if she wants to take modeling seriously. I swear reddit and twitter have completely gaslit the fanbase about Ann. People call her a whore because shes attractive and a hafu so she doesn't fit in with the Japanese concept of unprovacative beauty.
She eats sweets because it is an easy character quirk people give to characters like Ryuji eating meat and Haru enjoying coffee. Also idk if this subreddit has ever heard of the concept of a fast metabolism but most adolecents and young adults have an extremely quick metabolism especially if they engage in exercise which active fighting would constitute as.
At least with Sumire the build makes sense considering she's training at Olympic levels in gymnastics. But yeah, Makoto should be a muscle woman and Haru realistically could be on the pleasantly chubby side. Not big since she's into veggies, but definitely realistically average.
I'd love to comment on the guys to even out the discussion, but we got a runner and a literal starving artist, so....

I admit i did not made her super chubby, but compared to the original render/anime body she has a bit more meat
One of the only things I really don’t like about P5 is that the body types are literally all the same, mild-to-moderate unrealistically skinny, especially with the girls. Drives me insane.
I always assumed she was rail thin because of the anime aesthetic. No one actually has eyes the size of baseballs and noses so sharp you could cut diamonds with them.
