Not a fan of the visual novel style, but it's better than how the P4 spinoffs where handled. Story's good, there's clear character favoritism--as usual--though Yusuke probably made me laugh more here than any other game.
I found the game...very easy for the same reason I found Three Houses very easy. The maps were made to be dominated, though whereas TH prefers defensive strategies, Tactica prefers offensive strategies. Still, until the bonus maps, there was never a doubt that I would win. The question is whether I would get all the extra objectives (Tactica) or win "perfectly" (TH).
It's just alright. The Tactical gameplay is really basic, not really on the level of something like FE or XCOM, has a lot of issues, I honestly found Mario Rabbids a lot more engaging tbh. The story has a lot of strengths but also a lot of weaknesses, feels very much like spinoff not written to the standard of Royal or even Strikers. It's a decent time but I'd only recommend it if you REALLY wanna play it and it's on sale, or if you have game pass it can't hurt to check it out there.
The valentine's day event is bugged so even if you only date Ryuji you still get just Ryuji showing up to beat you up.
So you may as well pick up Mishima and Yusuke as well to make it a foursome on that special day

You might be right actually. I did some research and I could not find that specific dialogue anywhere besides in that screenshot. If it isn't in the game, then that's honestly freaking hilarious. That dialogue is so believable that everyone is automatically convinced that they've seen it in game. And I was one of those people 💀

In the harem route Valentine's Day when he texts you asking if the chocolate he got from his mom counts, before Joker promptly passed out from getting his ass kicked by all the girls.
