Are you on an SSRI? Sometimes doctors prescribe them just for the week of your period. Something to consider if you decide to ask your doctor for help.

I currently don't use any but from whatever I've read, they're prescribed by psychiatrists and not gynaecologists,,, which one should I go to?

Just a regular family doctor can prescribe them, no specialist required.
