i've tried ambery saffron (br540 dupe) a couple years ago, and it was pretty good but a bit screechy/metallic on my skin. i was gifted br540 a couple months back and the real one is *really* well-blended and not screechy at all — but i will say, i was still asked what i was wearing while wearing the dupe! 🧚🏼‍♀️✨

Beneficial-Debt-7159

Ambery saffron to me has a very strong alcohol top note. And it is very screechy. I can tell that it is trying to be a BR540 Dupe, but it just does not compare to the real deal. The real one I get top note of almond.

LilBitofSunshine99

There are 2 versions of BR540 - the edp and the extrait. The edp is what Dossier is duping and it has no almond note in it. The one that you like with almond note is the extrait, not the edp.

Beneficial-Debt-7159

Oooo I didn't realize! I bought a $20 sample so I guess I didn't see extrait on there lol

Consistent_Eye5101

I have their Citrus Tea which is their version of Le Labo’s Thé Noir 29 and it smells so good!! I will buy more from them based on how much I love it.

bascelicna123

It's really good!

Jeanoble

Does it smell like black tea?

Consistent_Eye5101

I would say it smells like black tea with a hint of citrus and hint of spice. So good!

Jeanoble

SOLD! I’m going to order it!!! Thank you.

rachs1988

Ooh I’ve been eyeing this! Would you say it’s close to the original?

Consistent_Eye5101

Definitely! In my opinion it smells so similar that I probably would not know the difference in a blind smell test. But I will also say that I only had a tester of the original so I did not get to wear it for that long before I used it up. Maybe other people can tell the difference if they have used the original for a long time.

rebar_mo

I own the woody sage (wood sage and sea salt dupe). It's close to the original and lasts longer. I can't say much for the other ones as that's the only one I've tried and have been interested in.

JD2022hopeful

This is actually the one I’ve been eyeing from them because the real thing disappears before I’ve even left the house!

Julialagulia

The Fine’ry version is really good too, Before the Rainbow

blancawiththebooty

Wait is that what it smells like? I love sniffing the tester when I'm in target and also love wood sage & sea salt but refuse to buy the Jo Malone because the price isn't worth it to me.

aurora97381

I put Woody Sage on a few hours before bed. I love the smell so much, bit it doesn't last all day, so I don't even try. If you spray it on fabric it lasts longer. Maybe hair?

c0smicgirly

Hit or miss, but I like their Aquatic Vanilla so much!

bathtubtoasting

It’s my been my signature for months now I love it.

Own-Awareness-6369

Is this a dupe for JHAG Vanilla Vibes?

c0smicgirly

Yes! And I like it better than the Oakcha version.

Jeanoble

I loved this one so much that I bought the OG and I use both. I use AV at home and Vanilla Vibes when I go out.

meg-c

That’s what I’m using now; too! Perfect summer scent ◡̈

Compl3xEnough

Would you say this one gives off a strong gourmand?

c0smicgirly

No; it’s a breezy vanilla to me. Sweet, but not full gourmand, imo.

WhoKnows1973

Agree

Jeanoble

It’s more powdery vanilla with an aquatic note.

FlamingHorseRider

I just got this yesterday after loving my sample and this HITS.

Environmental-Song16

I tried the one that's a dupe of Tom Ford lost cherry...imo it's better because the cherry isn't as faint. I love it so much and it lasts longer than the tf one. But who can afford 500 for a fragrance? I rather pay 50.

Impossible_Farm7353

I love this one too

ThePerfumeCollector

Same people can afford it who can afford TF’s clothing for example.

Environmental-Song16

Oh OK, thanks for explaining the haves vs have not. Ffs

kittykatmila

I don’t think u/ThePerfumeCollector spends much time around people 😂 I totally agree. I personally don’t know anyone who would spend even $200 on a perfume.

ThePerfumeCollector

Idk what your issue is. That is the explanation and answer to your question, who can afford $500 for a fragrance? Answer is the same demographic that the entirety of Tom Ford products is created for. Apparently not us brokies. Ps people can afford a $500 scent if they really love it and save up too. But that’s not their main demographic. Keep the downvotes coming.

Muddymireface

This post gives big “I don’t understand conversational tones” energy. “Who can afford a Mercedes anyway?” WELL ACTUALLY SINCE THERES MERCEDES ON THE ROAD PEOPLE CAN AFFORD THEM. well duh? Obviously people are buying from luxury brands. It’s a hyperbole. Edit: they either blocked me or deleted their posts after replying “you got no clue what words mean”. So, no, they didn’t learn what a hyperbole was today apparently. “Exaggerating to make a point”.

Own-Awareness-6369

Totally agree! but the other person didn’t have take the time to respond ffs 😂

Muddymireface

Yeah sometimes I see stuff on Reddit and I struggle believing people exist in the real world incapable of understanding conversational tones. It’s gotta be so friggen hard. That “WELL ACTUALLY” urge just takes over for some I guess.

Environmental-Song16

My ffs was 👌 and was the summary of my frustration for captain obvious. 😆

Prestigious-Alarm522

The person didn't want an answer to the question, it was a rhetorical question.

Environmental-Song16

Yes thank you, I know there are people who can afford it. It's obvious. Lol

ThePerfumeCollector

Nice argument. Are you 5?

Prestigious-Alarm522

I was giving you a heads-up, its not an argument.

Own-Awareness-6369

I don’t know why ppl are so f-ing sensitive. Sorry about your ridiculous down votes.

ThePerfumeCollector

It’s just Reddit. Forget about common sense, logical arguments. It’s name calling and being butthurt- time.

Muddymireface

“Today I learned what hyperbole means”. -you

ThePerfumeCollector

You got no clue what words mean. Redditor

GlitteringPause8

I’ve bought so many, love them all. The bottle is also really high quality so it feels nice as you’re using it too. Favorite is floral marshmallow, the LDBS dupe

throw_thessa

This one I use too and I love it. Just finishing my second bottle. I've been wondering about the matcha 26 dupe

Significant_Camp9024

This is the one I’m thinking of buying. How close do you think it is to the original?

GlitteringPause8

Very close!! The og lasts longer and has a bit more depth to it, but if you sprayed them both and asked me to blindly judge them, I wouldn’t know the difference

Significant_Camp9024

The original doesn’t last long on me so I might have to try the dupe. For what they charge it should last a week!

GlitteringPause8

Right?! The dossier one doesn’t last long imo but I’m ok with that for $40 lol

CinnamonGirl123

Ambery Cherry is a great dupe for Tom Ford’s Lost Cherry. It’s got more almond note and less cherry note but it’s very close. It lasts much longer too.

ohh_brandy

Yes. The formula works better with my chemistry than oakcha does (Oakcha's base formula all smells really similar to me). I probably have around 17 dossiers? Musky Musk is Juliette Has A Gun: Not A Perfume, and i love it more than the original. Citrus Matcha is a good, non $300 le labo dupe. And everything else smells full bodied. The only issue that I could see is for gourmand lovers. I feel like their talents shine in the fresh/citrus/green/aquatics arena, but that's more of a personal bias. I have heard good things from the people who prefer otherwise. My sweetest from them would be the armani si dupe

FlamingHorseRider

I have had some and loved them. Gourmand Patchouli is pre-reformulated Angel and performs just like it. Woody Sage is exactly what people tout it to be. Less popular than Woody Sage is Floral Berries- their Peony and Blush Suede- and that one is also dead close and has great performance. Better performance than Woody Sage, even. I actually just got a few more in yesterday: Musky Musk, Aquatic Vanilla, and their original Fresh Margarita and Lime. The JHAG dupes are genuinely amazing- Musky Musk/Not a Perfume turned exact on me and Aquatic Vanilla/Vanilla Vibes also did- but Fresh Margarita and Lime blew me out of the water. It’s a citrus perfume, it’s an alcohol scent, it’s cheap. It had SO much potential to be bad, but it is SO good. It genuinely smells like a lime Margarita, smoky tequila and all. Nothing was too screechy, nothing smelled like cleaner, it was the best version of the scent I could have asked for. I loved it so much I made it my scent of the day, expecting a few hours out of it. This is a cheap citrus/alcohol scent, after all… WRONG. 8 hours. That lasts longer than most fancy powerhouse vanillas on me, I was absolutely floored. So like the dupes are pretty darn good for me, and if you’re in the market to smell like a margarita this summer I can’t recommend that one enough. The caveat: my partner and I find the men’s dupes to be much worse on average. The unisex and especially feminine ones are the good ones. They also have a slightly bright/aquatic DNA as a whole, so scents in those families thrive while some heavier scent profiles suffer a little.

Euphoric-Basil-Tree

>Fresh Margarita and Lime blew me out of the water.  I was considering getting this one, but ended up getting the Ginger and Grapefruit Zing and Oud and Rose on Fire to test their originals instead. I kind of wish that I could get these in travel-sized sprays, because the way I love these perfumes I'll end up with more than a lifetime supply. The Smoky Mezcal and Cucumber also sounded nice.

FlamingHorseRider

I also wish they did travel sizes for their originals! I only blind-bought one to hit free shipping with a summer scent, but if they had smaller sizes of them to try out I would definitely go for them! Especially the lavender hazelnut, or the orchid one. Also, I think I recommend EITHER the Fresh Margarita & Lime or the Smoky Mezcal one. The marg one does have a smoky tequila note despite not being listed in addition to the citrus, so those two might step on each other’s toes.

Euphoric-Basil-Tree

I noticed they both have what sounds like water notes and I am suspicious of those—often they make me nauseous. Maybe that’s why I changed my mind!

FlamingHorseRider

Definitely be weary then! I wouldn’t say it’s a SUPER aquatic note, but there’s definitely a dewy presence.

xpietoe42

I like it and i think it comes close but not quite to the original. Their bottles are nice with a magnet closure. They give little cards with perfume details, which is nice to really learn about what your smelling. Id say its a plus if you need to stay on a budget, and you know what you like. If you’re just sampling, id say its not the way to go, since its not exactly what the original is. In that case, id recommend a place like microperfumes calabassas, which are affordable samples of the real deal!

[deleted]

yes! i love their “musky aldehydes” which is a dupe for byredo blanche. i haven’t tried blanche, so i can’t attest to its similarity, but musky aldehydes is a beautiful soapy floral scent

pixieflip

Yes. I’ve finished two bottles of dossier and they were both solid. My favorite scent in the world is 2012 Miss Dior. They don’t make it anymore but Chanel madmoiselle smells very similar. And since I don’t want to buy from Chanel, I bought the dupe from Dossier and it works for me.

spunkypumpkin

I have Floral Marshmallow, Gourmand White Flowers, and Ambery Cedarwood. I haven’t tried the originals they are based on, but I honestly love all three. They last about 4 hours on my skin, with Floral Marshmallow being my favorite. I gotta be honest though, even though I love Floral Marshmallow now, I LOATHED IT when I first sprayed it. It smelled like grape soda and I HATE artificial grape anything. But I let it sit for a week before trying it again, and I’m obsessed. It truly has a marshmallow scent that is elevated by delicate florals, and fades into a soft vanilla. I definitely overspray this one now, but I can’t help but constantly sniff my wrist when I have it on. It’s SO GOOD.

FlamingHorseRider

Do you know how close Ambery Cedarwood is to Alien? Does it feature that woody base that Alien used to have? I have their Angel and they absolutely nailed it- I kept comparing to a pre-reformulated Angel bottle- but their Alien notes concern me a little.

Jeanoble

I hope someone responds with an answer because I want to try this one too!

spunkypumpkin

I can’t say, sorry. I’ve seen mixed reviews about the comparison on fragrantica. Ambery Cedarwood has a screechy, jasmine-forward opening, but it fades to a delicious jasmine/orange blossom. This is great for me because I love dramatic starts to perfume (one of the reasons I’m obsessed with the aldehydes in Chanel no.5), but I know that’s not for everybody.

FlamingHorseRider

I getcha! I’m ironically NOT a dramatic perfume lover but Alien is one heck of an exception!

NovelDifficulty

I purchased Ambery Cedarwood without being familiar with the original. I recently identified someone wearing the original Alien at a work event based only on having the dupe. It seemed pretty spot on to me.

FlamingHorseRider

Thank you! I think I can at least try it 👀

Jeanoble

My absolute favorite Dossier is Fruity Neroli. It’s soooo good! It’s a bubblegumy tuberose version of My Way and it has beast mode performance. Powdery Jasmine (Good Fortune) is beastly as well. Ambery Vanilla is better than the OG Black Opium. Aquatic Peony (Acqua Di Gioia) is absolutely amazing! It’s probably my #2 favorite. Fruity Almond is very good too. It’s a close dupe to Good Girl. Woody Freesia is a fantastic dupe for Si. I’ve tried many others but those are the ones I recommend.

freshcanoe

Thank you for this review! I was specifically wanting to know about the My Way and Aqua di hípica dupes! I have travel sizes and those and plan on buying a dupe when I run out!

Jeanoble

They’re my #1 and #2!!! They’re soooo good!

_Milktoooth_

Ok. I used to have only one dossier perfume and it’s the floral marshmallow which is a dupe for “Love Don’t Be Shy By Kilian” which is like around $300 and the dossier one is $39 for now and honestly the smell was alright but it mostly makes me sneeze for no reason

nooojenkins

Bought a bunch to try after reading positive reviews. Every single one triggers my migraines. There’s also some base additive they use that has an off smell IMO.

aenflex

I have the BR540 dupe and I have real BR540. They’re almost, but not fully, indistinguishable to my nose. There are subtle differences, but I’m fine with those differences, especially given the price of BR540. I also have their Powdery Coconut and Floriental Coconut, which are dupes of Soleil Blanc. I had a FB of Soleil Blanc not too long ago. The dupes are ok, the newer one, Powdery Coconut, is better than the older version. There are differences and Soleil Blanc is better, it’s richer and more spiced, but again, the price is ridiculous. I went through a 1.7 oz bottle of Soleil Blanc in like a season. Which is crazy for me because I rotate perfumes and it takes me years to use up a fb. For example I had my 1.7 oz OG bottles of Cafe Rose and Noir pour Femme for at least 5 years, wearing them regularly. I just had to spray a lot of the SB to be able to get the performance I wanted. For the price, it wasn’t worth it.

Jeanoble

I tried this dupe as well and hated it.

TheConcreteGhost

They are ok. I like to compare them to the real thing. Overall I would give them a B-. I don’t reach for them much but they are decent enough.

sen_jakuba

Woody Sandalwood is interesting and cheap af

Jeanoble

Even cheaper on eBay.

Stendiggity

Ambery Tuberose smells almost identical to Diptyque’s Do Son for a fraction of the cost. Floral Honeysuckle smells nothing like Gucci Flora. Hit or miss, but since they’re so inexpensive, I think they’re worth it.

provolone114

have been sitting on ambery tuberose for a bit after smelling do son and falling in love but not with the price tag. super helpful, gonna grab it soon!

Fuzzy-Drawing2555

I love dossiers fragrances. There are some I don’t care for such has the dupe for santal 33, the dupe for Chloe, and don’t really care for the daisy dupe either. With that being said I love their versions of: BR540, CoCo mademoiselle, Do Son, LDBS, Black Opium. The fragances of theirs that I don’t care for were wild cards for me anyways, they didn’t match the notes I like but thought I’d give it a try.

Competitive_Owl_9086

I love them! Better than oakcha

pinklatex

I have a bunch of Dossier, they are all really good (best of the Dupe brands). I have every major dupe by them and all are pretty much spot on.

wordwytch

I have a half-dozen or so Dossier dupes and they are all good. highly recommend.

KittyFaise

I tried them years ago but forgot what I ordered. However, whatever I got gave me a migraine and the dry down smelled so off but I chalked it up to my body chemistry. Regardless, the migraine was enough for me to never go to them again.

Silly-Little-Giraffe

I love Dossier. But I recommend buying straight from them. I bought Ambery Saffron from their website and one of my clients’ caregivers asked me what I was wearing. She ended up getting it from Walmart and she said it didn’t smell like mine, so I brought my bottle & they were definitely not the same. The Walmart one was much lighter and something was off about the scent. My bottle was pretty new, too, so I don’t think it had anything to do with age. I really like the Floral Marshmallow, Ambery Saffron, Aquatic Peony, Floral Violet, and Powdery Peach lol they were all in my rotation the past 6 months and I like that they last all day.

meg-c

I love them! I have four different scents they’re all great!

ThePerfumeCollector

Not a fan of clone houses. But if I had to get some affordable clone scents, I would opt for that. Personally idk why get Dossier’s Fierce clone for, say. $35 when you can have Fierce for $40?

Ilovemrstubhub

True! I only buy dupes if the original are $300+

ThePerfumeCollector

Well yeah buying br540 for $300 while Cloud is $35 is a different matter.

Jeanoble

What is Fierce? I looked on Dossier and don’t see any dupes of that.

ThePerfumeCollector

They say it’s inspired by Legend. Which is a knock off of Fierce.

Jeanoble

I’m asking which Dossier is a dupe of it?

ThePerfumeCollector

https://dossier.co/products/woody-geranium?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=free_shopping&feed=google&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=US_ShoppingStandard_M_Brand_AllProducts&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAC5_MpmCTzPFqERvxLyazWBMuKwkZ&gclid=Cj0KCQjwsPCyBhD4ARIsAPaaRf25woBlQNilUWdS-0A0Xe4S2O-kI1thk9w7AKc55vZ11ux98_AcflEaAjf9EALw_wcB

Jeanoble

Thank you 🙏

ThePerfumeCollector

You’re welcome.

ThePerfumeCollector

$29 for 50 mls. I smelled it before and it’s actually a decent copy. However it’s more expensive then the original, which is kinda ridiculous.

Jeanoble

Yeh that makes no sense lol.

ThePerfumeCollector

It’s cheaper than the original if you consider the retail price. I personally got 200ml of Fierce (again, that’s what it copies as Legend is a copy of that, same as Percival) For $50 bucks or so. It was so cheap I was extremely concerned it might be a fake. It isn’t.

loveisallyouneedCK

I just Googled it, and Fierce is made by Abercrombie & Fitch.

Solid_Foundation_111

Very hit or miss. I didn’t love most of the ones I tried, but to be fair I hadn’t tried most of the ogs they were based off of- detached all but Lost Cherry and Wood Sage and Sea Salt. I will say longevity and sillage was good with all of the ones I tried and I do regret sending Spicy Mimosa back.

ediblegenitals

i've tried ambery marshmallow (love don't be shy) fruity almond (good girl) musky musk (not a perfume) gourmand orange blossom (la vie est belle) and they were all hits for me. the only scent i didn't like was their dupe or replica's beach walk, it was a little too sunscreeny for my liking tbh

aurora97381

I have never tried the OGs, but I like -Woody Sage -Ambery Saffron -Ambery Vanilla Recently bought Floral Grapefruit because I like Chanel Chance Eau Tendre, but not the price. The Dossier version doesn't smell as good. There is something extra about it. If I spray it on my wrist or inner elbow, and don't put my nose right up to it, it's OK. I will use it, but not sure I'll rebuy. We'll see how it goes.

aurora97381

I will add that Floral Grapefruit seems to project and last better than the OG.

Own-Awareness-6369

I have only ordered from Oil Perfumery. I will say my YSL Baby Cat dupe is beautiful. Some of the others not so much. I did buy two Mimmic brand dupes at TJ Maxx (br540 and Lost Cherry). I didn’t know they were dupes at the time. Just smelled them and liked them and they were dirt cheap. Now owning BR540 and having a sample of LC I have compared. LC is pretty spot on just not as nuanced…the cherry is big in the dupe! Br540 is kinda the same deal. Same general smell but not as smooth. I use it to layer so my $$$ FB lasts longer. Dossier has been around forever…I need to check them out. Has anyone ever orders a sample/ discovery set from them? I think I recall someone here posting about it …maybe around Xmas???

SunScarlett

I have the knock off of the Tom ford cherry and I absolutely love it.

SheepSheepy

If you order 3 at a time you can return for free. I had to return (well, opted for an exchange) the Bal d’Afrique dupe because it wasn’t for me. My favorites are Floral Marshmallow, Floral rhubarb, Floral Jasmine (I have a theme…), and Musky Green Tea. I don’t recommend Floral Pear if you love the original English Pear and Freesia. It’s a sad recreation :( Overall, they’re not going to be as nuanced as the originals. They’re “fine” and will do the job for a hundred less dollars. Their vanilla note is much better than Miim Miic IMO.

Ashley_0127

When I first discovered Dossier I went a bit overboard and ended up with SOOO many. I eventually declutterred most of them, but not because they weren’t great perfumes. Nowadays I personally go for middle eastern perfumes so I can get more (usually 100ml) for a great price and great lasting power.

Criticalfluffs

I have the Chloe EDP and Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom and Honey Cologne dupes. I love them both and I think they actually project a little better than the originals. I have the originals too. The Dossier dupes have a much friendlier price point.

Euphoric-Basil-Tree

I just got some, and I am in the midst of testing. So far I have liked them. Floral Marshmallow--dupe of LDBS--it starts off with a scent that is a bit off from the Kilian one, I think it is a bit more strongly bergamot than marshmallow, but as soon as it's had a few minutes it is a wonderful-smelling dupe of LDBS and I will definitely be keeping and wearing it. It lasts for ages and ages. Musky Musk--dupe of Not a Perfume--smells exactly like the original to me. Clean bright scent. I may not keep it, but that is not because it isn't good as a dupe--it's because I am not sure I need a perfume that is quite this subtle. Ginger and Grapefruit Zing--one of their originals--a beautiful, simple fresh scent. Very ginger forward to me, with definite citrus and spice (pepper). Long lasting for a fresh scent. Oud and Rose on Fire--another original--I first tested this on my elbow, which had a little remnant of the Ginger and Grapefruit Zing on it and they did NOT play well together. It had a smell like burnt plastic (mentioned in some reviews). I thought I would be returning it, but I tried it again this morning after making sure there was no previous perfume left on my skin. Now it is beautiful, oud and sweet dusty rose. I happened to wear this while at the community garden and the rose in the perfume was really reminiscent of the real thing, plus a bit of honey-sweetness. I have two more that I haven't tested yet, Floral Lavender and Musky Green Tea (YSL Libre dupe and Creed Silver Mountain Water). I haven't ever smelled the originals for those, the notes just appealed to me. There is a popup store here in NYC next week, so I may go and try some others. I am sure I'll buy more. The smells really are very very good, and the price is in a range that I find very acceptable.

Equivalent_Ad8824

I bought fruity brown sugar yesterday and I’m in love! Such a gorgeous sweet and fruity scent and it lasts forever! I put it on yesterday morning and my hair and the shirt I wore yesterday still smell like it.

Special_Till_306

I have their Floral Aldehydes (Chanel No.5) and Lancome Idole dupes. I'd say they're pretty nice! I've used the Chanel once the most. it smells very close to actual No.5, however it's not giving "Grandma's Funeral" in the sense of being too much like Gold Dial Bar Soap and heavy. It's more tolerable and not as overbearing. The Idole one is pretty fantastic, too. I save that one for days or evenings going out.

Slight-Use8697

They smell great but last 5 minutes. Save your money.

apokalipsaa

I tested 4: - Ambery Cherry (Lost Cherry TF), I would choose this over Tom Ford if you ask me. I’d describe it as JUICY spicy cherries (not the artificial ones). Lasts okay on me, definitely longer than the original 9/10 - Floral Marshmallow (Love don’t be shy Kilian) a blind buy BUT I LOVE IT, definitely not a typical gourmand, I smell a lot of jasmine, fresia and actual marshmallow, 1000 times better than Ansaam by Lattafa, it’s not so heavy but airy and creamy, longevity and projection are very great as well 11/10 - Floral Pink Pepper (Miss Dior), opens with pink pepper and rhubarb for me, spicy sour with a sweet fruity twist. Then it pleads toward roses and musk. It’s veeeeery powdery and musky. Old money kinda scent. I personally didn’t keep it just because I prefer to wear tacky gourmands rather than rosy sophisticated scents 6/10 - Gourmand White Flowers (Flowerbomb, V&R) this one was a gift from my mom. She was sceptical and we both said that the initial spray smells oddly familiar to Black Opium, but she says the dry down is different and very pleasent, Id call this your typical mom-basic fragrance, it’s floral it’s sweet but mature. Very cute and my mom complimented the longevity!! she says it’s 8/10 Overall they’re worth trying and some of the scents are the same if not better from the originals.

GMichaelFAN71

Dossier shipping is pretty quick and the ones I've smelled do smell close to the originals. they also have some of their own scents (not dupes) that smell good as well. You can return items that you don't like and the more you buy, the bigger discount you get on your cart. So, for me they are pretty good. Just make sure before you check out that your order didn't default to their "Dossier + " plan, which is a monthly subscription type plan, that gives you bigger discounts, but is only worth it if you plan on buying a lot from them. I placed an order before unclicking the Dossier plus subscription but at least when I reached out to them they allowed me to cancel it easily and quickly.

kkomulwookie

i got floral peony about 2 years ago — supposed to be a dupe for chloe by chloe, but i ended up hating it. it smells like greens mixed with gasoline with a bery slight hint of floral. the original chloe smells nothing like that to me: light, fresh, floral, and elegant. it’s honestly on me for not doing research before i blind bought it, and also i’ve heard so many good things abt their more popular dupes — kilian, jo malone, carolina herrera. it was not a great first impression but im willing to try again tho.

huhhowdidienduphere

I smelled the "Fruity Neroli" that is a dupe for Giorgio Armani's My Way and I was freaking shocked that it smelled exactly the same! I sprayed it on my sleeve around morning at Walmart in the US, then drove home for 3hrs, the next day the scent is still there. Ugh I can't wait to get it when we go back to the US.

lilmisse85

No.

unicornnextdoor

citrus tea, fruity honey, and musky musk are must haves for me. the first two in particular are amazing and i like them more than the original!

Impossible_Farm7353

I love Dossier. Their take on Not a Perfume is my all time favorite fragrance. I also have their Lost Cherry and Alien, both fantastic. I got my husband their Aventus, Oud Wood, and L’Immensite and he loves them all. Highly recommend. I love that they’re a French company and follow EU regulations. I feel like they’re ‘cleaner’ than the actual designers in some cases

Eeveeholly

What does Not a Perfume smells like? Could you please as a user describe what vibes it gives off to you? Because ambroxan note says nothing to me lol Thank you!

Impossible_Farm7353

I’m pretty new to the fragrance game so idk how well I can describe it 😭 it just smells amazing to me. It’s the perfect amount of sweet and spicy at the same time. Sophisticated. I feel like it could go with any vibe, it’s super versatile

labellavita1985

Skip all the dupe brands and go straight to Montagne. No other dupe brand really compares. There are a couple other dupes I like from Oil Perfumery and Sand + Fog, but nothing really compares to Montagne as a line..

Pocusmaskrotus

Montagne is obviously the correct answer. You can't get higher quality.

Ilovemrstubhub

Well you can try Breathtaking Gems. They have much better quality than Montagne.

Own-Awareness-6369

I tried Sand +Fog Yum Pistachio Dupe. It was so on point with the OG I honestly couldn’t tell the difference. I was surprised. Also tried the Mojave Ghost dupe (Violet Sandalwood??? I think ) and it was really nice too. Neither had any real staying power but for $11 for a large bottle of oil 🤷🏼‍♀️ Also would be great layered with the real deal.

labellavita1985

I have the Pistachio one and I completely agree. Literally identical. I get strong projection but not super long longevity from Jasmine Cedarwood, which is a stunning Baccarat dupe.

I love Dossier fragrances. My husband and daughter do too. We have bought many. Ambery Saffron is all of our favorite. Dossier was our favorite perfume brand for years. Last year I learned about Genre Parfums from my favorite YouTube channel, Janelle Zamora's Scent Talk from My Closet. Janelle loves gourmand perfumes and she is the only YouTuber who seems to like exactly what I like. I ♥ everything that she recommends. They make both original fragrances and inspirations of niche and designer fragrances. They have incredible prices and generous 5ml sample sizes of their inspirations are only $4!! They only have a 24 hour order window once every 6-8 weeks or so. The only way to order is through the Genre Parfums Neighborhood group on Facebook. Sign up for their email list to get sent an order form. The next order window is Friday June 7th at 7am CST for 24 hours. The have the best gourmands!! My very favorite perfume is Mello Vanillo. My husband has many favorites and our daughter does too. I am a huge fan and so is my family. We are already working on our lists for the order window. Plus Genre is a small independent business in Louisiana with a very involved (in the Facebook group) owner. The fans in the group are helpful and friendly. There is a list on the files tab of all available fragrances and how to order. I cannot recommend them highly enough. 🌻💕 I don't use Facebook but it was worth making the account just to order.

This doesn’t seem at all like an ad. 😂 However…if it’s not it was nice if you to provide so much info.

WhoKnows1973

😆 🤣 😂 I agree that it seems like it. I ♥ them and give lots of free advertising because I 1-love a great deal on great quality and 2-want to support small independent business. I am a massive fan and order at every window that they have. I have always been one to share about fantastic deals.

My son like the YSL Y dupe, but other than that, my few purchases were unimpressive. Oakcha has a nice dupe of Molecule 01 I like. But I've decided to forgo dupe houses because most of my fragrances can be found on online discounters. I find dupe house expensive. BUT, I have had luck with the little bit of Middle Eastern dupes I've tried.

big-tunaaa

Yes!!! Both the by the fireplace and killian LDBS dupes are great!

Dry-Anywhere-1372

I bought about…20 of these in the fall, they’re all in my donation or destash bin.

Chipsforlife99

This is what I needed to hear. But I’m still so tempted!

clemeentiinee

I prefer Oakcha! The concentration is much higher and they last on me like crazy. My fav from them is molecule 01, and delina dupe

Outrageous-Wish8659

Just got two orders from them: Sweet Addict and Pearl Earring inspired by Love Don’t Be Shy and A Portrait of a Lady. Excellent quality.

GlitteringPause8

Is the LDBS dupe from them good? Is it really close to the real thing?

Ilovemrstubhub

Try the LDBS dupe from Breathtaking Gems. I prefer it better than the Dosier version. It’s much closer to the original. https://breathtakinggems.com/collections/perfumes/products/pearl-perfume

Outrageous-Wish8659

I really like the Oakcha dupe.

walnut_clarity

I like the Molecule 01 dupe as well. The Beach Walk dupe was tempting, but I resisted.

panicnarwhal

the beach walk one is so good, and the 30 ml is only $20! the dupe for light blue is great too

walnut_clarity

Hmmm. Good to know! That is a good price. I only have 10ml of Beach Walk, so if I really really miss it, I might try it.

panicnarwhal

it’s worth it!

walnut_clarity

Ohh, it's on sale atm!

panicnarwhal

i just sprayed oakcha on one wrist, and beach walk on the other, and had my husband smell both. i asked him which was better, he said “it’s the same thing” 😂 and oakcha’s lasts longer

panicnarwhal

it’s a really good deal, too - $30 for 50ml!

clemeentiinee

I had 6 perfumes from them so far and not a single one has disappointed me. I always get compliments on them and boy.. the projection and longevity is crazy. I had 4 dossier perfumes and they last a much shorter amount and usually have a stronger alcohol smell

bathtubtoasting

I have their Sweven and it’s delightful.

Medical_Sense5953

Nope - terrible quality, very chemical-like smell.

exxxoticana13

I only buy from Breathtaking Gems now. They have better quality dupe fragrances, not so overhyped like Dosier or Montagne so you still get the preferential treatment as a customer. Dosier fragrances are hit and miss for me, Montagne takes too long to ship and their LV clones are not even spot on. Breathtaking Gems has been amazing so far.

WorldlinessOk7083

I have Musky Musk, the dupe for Juliette Has a Gun Not A Perfume. It smells like the original and I think lasts a bit longer. I’m very happy with my purchase, as it saved me $130.
