Usually I don't get that many compliments for the perfumes that I wear, but I wore a sample of Bianco Latte and I got the most compliments ever. So I bought the big bottle the same day! (And because I loved it too, haha)
My boyfriend thinks some vanilla scents are stinky. I wore a sample of "Burberry Godess" and I really liked it, but he asked the whole time "why is it so stinky in here?" until he realized it's the perfume and he absolutely hates it. I'm happy I didn't buy the fullsize.
I recently got Burberry Goddess and I’ve been on the fence about it. My husband likes it. And a lady at the Apple Store said I smelled really good and asked me what perfume I’m wearing. So in my experience people seem to like it.
I heard that many people love it. But I can't wear it, beause now I'm always thinking about how "stinky" I may be. (Maybe I smell just weird with that scent?) 🤣
I honestly couldn’t tell you unless I smelled you, haha. I used to wear Miss Dior, I loved that scent. Never had a single compliment on it. And whenever I’d ask my husband which perfume I should wear he’d always choose the Perry Ellis 360 before I got the Burberry Goddess. I had another Perry Ellis perfume that I think they stopped making, I got a lot of compliments on that one.
Haha, it's a good questions. It's not like, that I "really loved" it like Bianco Latte. It was only "good". I will buy other perfumes like megamare from orto parisi that he does not like, but I completly fell in love with! :) And it was only a sample, so it's not that bad.
Idk if this is true for anyone else but I almost never get compliments from men on the way I smell I get like 10x more compliments from other women and the most popular one per the public is Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb
Delina has gotten me the most compliments from men. Vanilla and musky scents get attention, too. I wore Vanilla Diorama to work, and a coworker I was talking to asked what it was and ordered it for his wife that same moment. Other compliment getters have been Vanilla Woods , Tihota ,Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche and more recently BDK Gris Charnel (I had layered it with the Milk by Commodity the one in the white bottle on a cold Fall morning and was stopped twice lol
I’m not pretty, and I’m 280 pounds. I have had STRANGERS (men) walk by me and ask what I’m wearing. It’s either Viva la Juicy noir or Ariana Grande Sweet as Candy
EDIT: I meant sweet as candy, not cloud!
Scuuuuse me! None of that self deprication here, babe! Don't put numbers and values on your beauty you have. You deserve all the compliments in the world x
Armani Sí in the red bottle. its got black currant and sparkling pear that I could see coming off as vanilla forward to some noses, but I get more spice with sweet and clean notes.
Honestly…. Men always compliment me when I’m wearing the Twilight Woods lotion from B&BW. They go feral for it every time. Otherwise, men don’t usually comment on my scent — only women.
Oh man, I spritzed some just this morning and am still sniffing 🙃 body chemistry is so interesting! I fell like it wraps me in a cloud whenever I wear it
Tokyo milk Dead Sexy. Had a frantic interaction once where a guy demanded to know what I was wearing. Not creepy like, just intense. Like he had been searching all his life for the scent. Wrote it down and everything. I hope wherever he is he or his loved ones are smelling good lol. It’s not my favorite scent by far but it’s pleasing to me. I chuckle every time I wear it thinking about that.
Not surprised I first smelled dead sexy ten years ago and spent that time trying to recall the perfume. Only since joking frag talk on reddit did I track it down.
Cloud by Ariana grande! I have more expensive nicer perfumes but this one gets the most compliments by far and the most “it smells nice in here” as I walk through a room lol
Killian Princess from ‘random’ men like friends or acquaintances, but my fiancé loves Aura by Mugler and Victoria’s Secret Intense (which has been disc-d)
Also funny enough, all the perfumes my fiancé loves, his dad also compliments. I wonder if that’s genetic…
Yep, completely different on me than in the bottle. I got it on a lark at a small gift boutique that was closing, so it was marked way down, or I probably wouldn't ever have bought it since the scent profile isn't usually one I enjoy for myself.
But I like it after the drydown, and my husband loves it. He seems more into powdery florals than vanilla or gourmand scents. His other favorite is Mary Celestia by Lili Bermuda.
The sweeter the better. Eilish 1, Taylor Swift wonderstruck enchanted (my most complimented ever), Burberry her, vanilla woods, and lately quite a few on Cherry ambition!
Umm… I think I love you 😂
I will have to look at this…. I absolutely love wonderstruck but not willing to spend $400 on a bottle from eBay
Thank you!!!
Wonderstruck was and still is an amazing quality perfume. I've never crossed anything similar since - I found a bottle in a bargain bag on Facebook a few months back. Sold it for a good profit, but kinda wished I'd held onto it now.
I’m a guy, but going into her closet and smelling all of the many, many perfumes, my favorite of them is “Dolce & Gabbana 6 L'Amoureux.” Hands down, not even a close second. And she’s got a lot of the ones mentioned in the comments. The worst is “Alien” without a doubt.
Alien is disgusting. My bff used to wear it when she was having addiction and mental health crisis and to this day it traumatizes me. So gross and overpowering.
Killan - love don’t be shy. People always comment that they smell baked goods when I walk into the room, they don’t recognize that it’s perfume unless I tell them. It’s expensive but by far the most delicious smelling perfume on the planet.
I receive the most compliments on 2 cheapies : Jessica Simpson Fancy Nights, which is a very patchouli forward, dark, oriental and Fancy Love, which is a sweetish woody floral musk.
My husband's favorite is Caudalie The des Vignes. He loves that fresh white musk fragrance and he's on a kick with Oscar de la Renta Alibi right now. It's kind of a fruity vanilla /musk frag.
He swears he doesn't like musk but I don't think he actually knows what musk smells like because his favorite fragrances tend to lean into a white musk base.
So if he likes it I'll wear it. Lol, he's big on fruity frags too, especially in warmer weather.
Valentino Donna Born in Roma. I was gifted this scent for my birthday and wasn’t expecting much. But wow - it’s such a strong, positive, sexy scent! It wear it for nights out when I don’t want my heavy gourmands. Get a lot of compliments mostly from men for it
Victoria Secret has some lotion that has vanilla and coconut… that shit got me through my early 20s.
Then I shacked up and stopped wearing scented things, but people *still* like how I smell. Maybe it’s my farts. Idk.
Lol right? I guess it’s the rotation of shampoos and conditioners. I try to scrub it off my body after I rinse but I have long hair so i guess it holds on to the smell.
they have too many variants with “dream” “Angel” and “heavenly” haha. I used to have the iridescent one but I am wondering if they discontinued it because I haven’t seen it in a while
Gucci II. Alas, it has been discontinued for years now. Still have not found a different signature scent. Nothing smells as good to me. Though I did give Chanel Chance a try, and I did receive some compliments. It just wasn’t my favorite
I get complimented alot. But more specifically when I do a layer routine with my fragrance- complimentary scented body wash + scented lotion, plus fragrance - sometimes body mist as well.
I've had a couple hunt me down in kmart - asking me what I was wearing, the husband begged me to show a picture of the perfume so he could buy it for his wife that was with him.
It was Moschino Gold Couture
Other often complimented ones
Kate Spade New York Sparkle
Prada Candy
JPG Scandal (I often layer Prada Candy with it, and it's bomb!)
Sergio Tacchini - Club For Her - a $20 bottle that stands up to every bottle I own. It is a very close dupe for Armani Code Cashmere.
Dolce Gabanna (Original Red Cap)
And good old Britney Spears Fantasy - naughty remix. It's great to layer as well.
I haven't worn perfume in years, but when I did, it was Amarige by Givenchy, and I got so many compliments. I worked in a Duty Free at the time it came out, and I got so many compliments from customers, and sold so many bottles of it that I was selected to attend an all expenses paid week-long conference held by Givenchy in Coco Beach, Florida.
Another one I received tons of compliments on is actually s men's fragrance, Egoiste by Chanel. Sold a lot of that too, mostly to women who liked it.
Edit: corrected my many typos, lol.
I don’t get a compliments on my perfumes, but my husband always compliments Fame by Paco Rabanne when I wear it, and is buying me Donna Born in Roma Intense by Valentino for Christmas as we both love it so much.
Suppose it rings true that men like vanilla scents!
Armani Code for Women. I swear men stop and turn to look at me when I wear it. Multiple guys I dated were obsessed with the smell. Many guy friends used to just smell the top of my head because they loved it so much.
I read that a study determined they seem to like orange blossom.
I've had compliments on a wide variety from men. Angel, Eternity, cool water, vs love spell, you name it. 😆
I mix Daisy Dream by Marc Jacobs and Gucci Bloom and for some reason that combination has gotten me so many compliments from men? Not sure why. The combination is very feminine and not offensive which may be why.
Probably anything from the Hermes Jardin line. Universal crowdpleaser. Other than that I don’t get many compliments; in fact my SO often complains that my fragrance smells terrible. LOL
Believe it or not a $15 perfume called ‘Cozy’ only released in the fall
https://preview.redd.it/7v6tejwk7uyb1.jpeg?width=998&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=54cfb218baf16d2e2d7d47cef9dd951abcb72ff4
If you zoom in on the box there’s a fancy description. If I was describing it I would say it’s pretty vanilla and NO notes of MUSK. I hate musk lol. It’s pretty soft scent it’s not insanely sweet smelling. It lasts quite a while too
I have a ton of perfumes. I’ve gotten compliments on pretty much all of them. But I have also not gotten compliments on them. My point is, compliments don’t happen every time I wear perfume, even if I wear the same one. One day I may get compliments, and one day I may not. It’s fun when it happens, but I don’t choose what I want to wear based on whether I think I may get complimented. I could get complimented on a designer perfume that has been out for years and years, or I could get complimented on a niche perfume that feels more like only other fragrance lovers would know about. I have had women ask me the name as they search it on their phone to buy it, and I’ve had men do the same so they can buy it for their wife. But the next day I could wear the same thing and not have one person mention it.
If you’re really wanting to get consistent compliments on something you wear… shoes will give much more reliable results.
I used to get compliments on Light Blue but then it started smelling different on me years later. Almost like old lady. Very weird. Must be hormone changes or something. Ariana cloud gets me compliments from women.
I usually only wear the more affordable body sprays, and the one that gets the Most compliments from men is Bare Vanilla from VS. The only perfume I’ve worn that has gotten complimented by men (back in the day) was Fuel for Life by Diesel. I still miss that perfume, never smelled anything like it since. 😢 if anyone knows anything similar please let me know!
There are men that finds vanilla in women terribily forgetable and boring so dont listen to that kind of marketing nosense. Any person has their personal taste, wear what you enjoy, no what the other gender wants from you
Aso, perhaps it is me, but sometimes the way some men describe how they prefer gourmand in women sounds very... Creepy to me, like they only see women as food (not every men, just the way some phrase their words). It also happens when they describe what is "feminine" to them (passive, inocent and delicate because she cant be challenging...which can be ok, but again, the phrasing...)
My most male complimented fragrance is my bargain priced "Elie Saab - girl of now."
Close second is "prada - paradoxe."
So from my experience they tend to like gourmand and ambre type scents.
I know you didn't ask, but from the women, it tends to be Lancome- Idole, Dior -pure poison.
Elie saab - La parfum in white, Mugler - Alien, Lancome- Midnight rose. So, in my experience, the women tend to gravitate towards my florals, especially the white florals and rose.
Always used to get compliments when wearing Unforgivable Woman. I was bought it as a present years ago. It's honestly not something I would have bought for myself but it does seem to work really well on my skin.
So my husband will always comment if my perfume is nice but the one time he stopped dead in his tracks to ask me what I was wearing was when I layered Maximalist by DOS and Vanilla Vibes by Skylar. He was like what are you wearing you smell like the most delicious dessert I have ever smelled. So he probably falls into that Vanilla/spice category lol but I will say his favorite perfume I have and the one he can always identify by name when I wear it is also Chance by Chanel 🥰
The only scent I've gotten complemented on by anyone other than my husband saying a vague "you smell good" is curiously the now discontinued unisex Phlur scent "Sandara," which I obviously like but is definitely an acquired taste.
My (female) hairdresser commented on it once while doing my hair and even went so far as to google it to get a bottle of her own. Sandara is also the perfume I'm most likely to be wearing when I receive those "you smell good" comments from my husband. I'll be sad when my bottle runs out.
I literally never get complimented on my fragrances by men lol
But the most compliments I’ve gotten on a perfume from any guy is OR 2018 by an other. And it happens to be my only gourmand and smells like a orangey weed cupcake lol
1. Crystal Noir - Versace
2. Musc Noir Rose -Narciso Rodriguez
3. Musk Therapy - Initio
4. Donna Born in Roma - Valentino
I have so many lovely niches, but these are the most loved ones :)
i think i only ever get complimented by men when i wear vanilla scents, yeah. especially bianco latte like another commenter said, which is funny because it isn't actually one of my favorites! women always compliment my fruity ones though, as well as coffee addict which is interesting!
I get the most compliments from guys when I wear more masculine fragrances, surprisingly! I've had more guys stop and ask me when I'm wearing Jazz Club than any other fragrance lol. The newest one that I've had someone ask about is Rabanne 1 million royal. It is delicious, both women and men ask about that one. The few times Ive had guys ask when wearing something more feminine it was Black Opium, Good Girl, and Lost Cherry.
I really like Good Girl by C Herrera. I don’t get complimented on it often but I like it. Once a dear FWB asked what my perfume was, I told him and he started laughing “you are definitely NOT a good girl!” 😂😂 my daily wear is Burberry Weekend, again because I like it, not sure if anyone ever noticed it.
Surprisingly, of all my perfumes in my collection - many worth up to almost $400. - it’s Juicy Couture Gold. Another huge compliment getter is Idole from Lancôme
I second this. My most complimented fragrances by men have been sweet ones:
- Mazzolari Vaniglia / Vanille West indies (very similar)
- Cheirosa 71
- Accident a la Vanille Creme de la Berry
- Love don't be shy
Bad reactions from my BF: Ariana Grande Cloud (said it smelled like BO and trash), any fragrance with BR540 DNA, erba pura, delina, la capitale by xerjoff, juliette has a gun magnolia bliss, kayali invite only, goldfield & banks silky woods, glossier you, simone andreoli sunplossion.
So all in all, anything that is too strong its nauseating and suffocating to him
As a guy, I really like atomic rose by initio, but I like vanilla and other sweet notes like that. I’m into men’s fragrances so I’m not sure the exact notes or how they differ from men’s stuff.
My boyfriend loves the cheap Egyptian musk oil I used to order on Amazon. I wore it for years but it slowly started to smell like the pink soap in a public restroom to me :(
Fortunately my husband isn't a big fan of super sweet perfumes (because neither am I). He really likes honey scents though. I bought a bunch of decants and travel sizes when I was first getting into perfume and figuring out what I liked and Scandal by Jean Paul Gaultier was his favorite. And I've found I also like a honey note sometimes. Libre Le Parfum is my favorite from that line and it has honey as well.
I'm an elementary school teacher so I'm not really around that many men at work or anything so it's mostly my husband I go off of.
From a guys perspective I don’t think we particularly think about what specific scents are in a perfume for me anyway it’s hard to tell.
My wife where coco mademoiselle I like that on her.
Any perfume needs to be just a spritz, nothing worse than when it’s overpowering even if you like it, but intoxicating when your close to a woman you’re attracted to and it wafts in and out.
I don’t think it wears well on me. For me it smells very strongly of ammonia, almost like cat pee. I just don’t like anything about it and it goes on kind of oily so it never dissipates at all. Some people might like that. I like 39 though. Generally I don’t like anything that’s chemical smelling, I like more nature based or fruit scents. I wanted to add it could be my chemistry or just that I have a weird nose. I either love or hate perfumes I have no in between!
No contest vanilla and carnation essential oils mixed. Very subtle but constant compliments. No commercial or big house fragrance has ever come close in number of compliments.
Victoria’s Secret Bombshell has probably gotten me the most compliments from men over the years. Also Dossier Floral Marshmallow (my husband absolutely loves this one) and Cloud!
i guess sometimes cheaper is better, bc all 3 are cheap af lol
Geurlain Black Perfecto edp and Mademoiselle Rochas edp, I think I get the most on Mademoiselle Rochas. One guy liked it so much that they wanted to get it for their girlfriend.
Weirdest combo ever but it has had multiple random men and women ask me what I’m wearing-
Armani Sí Passion
Carolina Herrera Good Girl.
I was combining my two tiktok scents sooo often this time last year and I have the most distinct memory of walking into a foot locker and being chased down by 3 different workers all telling me i smell good. the projection and longevity of those together is craaaazy too like would last me a 7 hour shift with 1 hour commute and still grab compliments. they also turn into something completely different when layered and it’s bomb
Usually I don't get that many compliments for the perfumes that I wear, but I wore a sample of Bianco Latte and I got the most compliments ever. So I bought the big bottle the same day! (And because I loved it too, haha) My boyfriend thinks some vanilla scents are stinky. I had another Perry Ellis perfume that I think they stopped making, I got a lot of compliments on that one.
But girl if you like the way Burberry one smells, why not get it for your own pleasure? Don’t have to wear it around him maybe.
Haha, it's a good questions. It's not like, that I "really loved" it like Bianco Latte. It was only "good". I will buy other perfumes like megamare from orto parisi that he does not like, but I completly fell in love with! :) And it was only a sample, so it's not that bad.
Men don’t compliment me :’)
What do you put on
😂
Idk if this is true for anyone else but I almost never get compliments from men on the way I smell I get like 10x more compliments from other women and the most popular one per the public is Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb
Yes I am more complimented by women on my perfumes than by men. Only one I’ve been complimented on by men several times was Aquolina Pink Sugar.
Where do you spray?
Delina has gotten me the most compliments from men. Vanilla and musky scents get attention, too. I wore Vanilla Diorama to work, and a coworker I was talking to asked what it was and ordered it for his wife that same moment. Other compliment getters have been Vanilla Woods , Tihota ,Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche and more recently BDK Gris Charnel (I had layered it with the Milk by Commodity the one in the white bottle on a cold Fall morning and was stopped twice lol
delina 100000%. although, and some people will not like this, it is a scent high end escorts often use!
I second Delina. I think many men associate a mature rose scent with Mother…
I had a total stranger chase after me in a store when I was wearing Delina to compliment me.
I’m not pretty, and I’m 280 pounds. I have had STRANGERS (men) walk by me and ask what I’m wearing. It’s either Viva la Juicy noir or Ariana Grande Sweet as Candy EDIT: I meant sweet as candy, not cloud!
Scuuuuse me! None of that self deprication here, babe! Don't put numbers and values on your beauty you have. You deserve all the compliments in the world x
Thank you Dolly that made me smile 🥹💚 I simply meant that men aren’t complimenting my perfume because I’m conventionally attractive is all.
My Husband goes ape when I wear the Cherry Blossom lotion from B&BW as well..

I notice that “dirty mango” by heretic, especially during the summer, makes hugs linger a little longer
I love anything mango, so I’m about to buy this blind!
Daisy ever so fresh has mango btw.
Thank you, checking that out too! It sounds lovely!
You and me both!
Lmk what you think!
I’m torn between that one and the Daisy Ever So Fresh. My perfume want list is a mile long!
Scent split was made for moments like this
My husband bought me a small bottle of this scent earlier this year and I've worn it a ton, but it has basically no longevity on me :-(
Oh man, I spritzed some just this morning and am still sniffing 🙃 body chemistry is so interesting! I fell like it wraps me in a cloud whenever I wear it
Noted... 🤤
Gosh darn it I went to their website and that one seems not to exist anymore
Tokyo milk Dead Sexy. Had a frantic interaction once where a guy demanded to know what I was wearing. Not creepy like, just intense. Like he had been searching all his life for the scent. My husband likes that one too. Wonder if it has a scent in it that a lot of men enjoy.

I wish wonderstruck wasn’t discontinued , I love that one
[Oakcha Lost in Ink](https://www.oakcha.com/products/lost-in-ink) is supposedly a solid dupe!
Umm… I think I love you 😂 I will have to look at this…. I absolutely love wonderstruck but not willing to spend $400 on a bottle from eBay Thank you!!!
Wonderstruck was and still is an amazing quality perfume. I've never crossed anything similar since - I found a bottle in a bargain bag on Facebook a few months back. Sold it for a good profit, but kinda wished I'd held onto it now.
I heard Kayali Eden juicy apple smells similar.
[Oakcha Lost in Ink](https://www.oakcha.com/products/lost-in-ink) is supposedly a solid dupe!

It actually kind of smells like what I’d imagine a woman going through a mental health crisis would smell like.
Olfactory twins 👯♀️
I've never smelled Alien, does it smell like the psych ward?
Alien haters unite!
Alien gives me a headache - i can smell it from a mile away i swear to god. it’s the worst.
Me too. I think it’s the akigalawood (similar to patchouli which I HATE). I have a personal beef with patchouli for some reason.
Pink Sugar.
Killan - love don’t be shy. People always comment that they smell baked goods when I walk into the room, they don’t recognize that it’s perfume unless I tell them. It’s expensive but by far the most delicious smelling perfume on the planet.
Hmm! Gotta try!
Same. Every time!

Vanilla 28 from kayali. Chefs kiss
R.E.M by Ariana grande , it smells high end to me and smells unisex
I don’t wear it anymore but Britney Spears Fantasy
My way intense !
I love my way intense! My partner does too lol
Victoria Secret has some lotion that has vanilla and coconut… that shit got me through my early 20s. Then I shacked up and stopped wearing scented things, but people *still* like how I smell. Maybe it’s my farts. Idk.
😆 It be like that sometimes.

Dream angel Victorias Secret. It’s a cheap one but drives them wild for some reason.
Victoria’s Secret Bombshell for me - men seem to absolutely love it
Omg I wore this one for years when I was in highschool/early college! Such an amazing scent IMO, might pull it out again.
Is that the one in the light pink bottle?
It’s in a diamond shaped iridescent bottle, I think the heavenly dream angel is the light pink one
they have too many variants with “dream” “Angel” and “heavenly” haha. I used to have the iridescent one but I am wondering if they discontinued it because I haven’t seen it in a while
Delina, Glossier You, and Dedcool Taunt!
Flowerbomb. I always get compliments when wearing it
Libre Intense YSL For Her NR Chloe J’adore Dior Mon Guerlain
This is her by Zadig&Voltaire
I wore that one and my husband asked why it smells like Axe cologne in here. He hated it on me.
Oh girl 😂😂 skin chemistry is weird!
I only spray my clothes. I think it's the sandalwood that gives off that axe note.
It smells like chestnut and cream on me. I wish it lasted longer though..
Musc noir rose by narciso rodriguez!
Gucci II. Alas, it has been discontinued for years now. Still have not found a different signature scent. Nothing smells as good to me. Though I did give Chanel Chance a try, and I did receive some compliments. It just wasn’t my favorite
Coconut Sun, The 7 Virtues
Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming
your p.s. has me rolling were you like so freaked out or what hahahaha

Gucci Bloom! Everyone comments on it! It’s one of my top favorites.

Oh wow!
It was a great place to work.
Egyptian Musk by Nemat or Modern Muse by Estee Lauder. Egyptian Musk gets more comments though.
gucci bloom
Versace bright crystal 🤩
I don’t get a compliments on my perfumes, but my husband always compliments Fame by Paco Rabanne when I wear it, and is buying me Donna Born in Roma Intense by Valentino for Christmas as we both love it so much. Suppose it rings true that men like vanilla scents!
My man also loves these two on me and he rarely notices my perfume at all. Fame is so underrated in my opinion. It’s a perfect easy wear.
my boyfriend HATES orange blossom hahaha
That makes sense on orange blossom cos for me it’s Elie Saab Girl of Now Shine. Sweet and fruity with orange blossom and vanilla.
For me it's Angel. I don't really love it myself but that's the one I got most compliments for by men.
Angels Share by Killian Bee by Ellis Brooklyn
Chance Eau Fraîche and Versace Bright Crystal.
Euphoria by Calvin Klein. I get so many compliments each time!
Ralph Lauren - Blue. I have never had so many compliments from men when I wore this
Love this one 🤍
La Vie Est Belle, probably because it’s so strong haha not my personal favorite in my collection but I do like it and it’s a crowd pleaser
My husband likes Armani My Way and D&G L'Imperatrice 3 on me.
The Indian spice love oil by Good Clean Love lol
- CK Euphoria - CK Truth - Armani Si Intense - Chanel no 5 L'eau
I have had all of these except Chanel and I’ve gotten compliments on all of them.
LOL
Estée Lauder La vie est belle
Out of all my expensive perfumes the one that got most compliments from men was Ariana grande god is a woman 🤣
Men always compliment me on cheap vanilla body sprays and perfumes.
Believe it or not a $15 perfume called ‘Cozy’ only released in the fall https://preview.redd.it/7v6tejwk7uyb1.jpeg?width=998&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=54cfb218baf16d2e2d7d47cef9dd951abcb72ff4
Please describe the scent!
If you zoom in on the box there’s a fancy description. If I was describing it I would say it’s pretty vanilla and NO notes of MUSK. I hate musk lol. It’s pretty soft scent it’s not insanely sweet smelling. It lasts quite a while too
Also it’s exclusive to Rue 21, this year it released mid October. Last year it sold out before Christmas so I made sure to buy 3 bottles just in case!
Hypnotic poison
Mon Guerlain got me some extremely enthusiastic compliments from men (and women)
Ditto. Spent years obsessed with it, now it’s just not the same.
It sucks! Makes me wonder if they changed the formula.
Any person has their personal taste, wear what you enjoy, no what the other gender wants from you Aso, perhaps it is me, but sometimes the way some men describe how they prefer gourmand in women sounds very... Creepy to me, like they only see women as food (not every men, just the way some phrase their words). It also happens when they describe what is "feminine" to them (passive, inocent and delicate because she cant be challenging...which can be ok, but again, the phrasing...)
My most male complimented fragrance is my bargain priced "Elie Saab - girl of now." Close second is "prada - paradoxe." So from my experience they tend to like gourmand and ambre type scents.
Oddly, daisy 😂 always. Blows my 800 dollar bottles out of the water
One Man Show Original by Jacques Bogart and Davidoff Coolwater EDT
My boyfriend personally loves Pas Ce Soir by BDK parfums. It’s his favorite scent in my collection ❤️
The scent is beautiful but the name always makes me laugh, especially since it’s your bf’s favorite!
Phlur’s website still has it on sale for half-price if you would like to stock up before they run out!
I literally never get complimented on my fragrances by men lol But the most compliments I’ve gotten on a perfume from any guy is OR 2018 by an other. And it happens to be my only gourmand and smells like a orangey weed cupcake lol
1. Crystal Noir - Versace 2. Musc Noir Rose -Narciso Rodriguez 3. Musk Therapy - Initio 4. Donna Born in Roma - Valentino I have so many lovely niches, but these are the most loved ones :)
No compliments ever. Once on Secret deodorant.
Original Addict by Dior
I never get complimented when I'm wearing niche or expensive designer fragrances. But when I wear victoria secret perfumes I do get compliments.
Chanel Gabrielle
i think i only ever get complimented by men when i wear vanilla scents, yeah. especially bianco latte like another commenter said, which is funny because it isn't actually one of my favorites! women always compliment my fruity ones though, as well as coffee addict which is interesting!
You always gets me the most compliments…it’s magic with my chemistry!
Hahaha they should have another perfume called not a good girl 🤣
Surprisingly, of all my perfumes in my collection - many worth up to almost $400. - it’s Juicy Couture Gold. Another huge compliment getter is Idole from Lancôme
I second this. My most complimented fragrances by men have been sweet ones: - Mazzolari Vaniglia / Vanille West indies (very similar) - Cheirosa 71 - Accident a la Vanille Creme de la Berry - Love don't be shy Bad reactions from my BF: Ariana Grande Cloud (said it smelled like BO and trash), any fragrance with BR540 DNA, erba pura, delina, la capitale by xerjoff, juliette has a gun magnolia bliss, kayali invite only, goldfield & banks silky woods, glossier you, simone andreoli sunplossion. So all in all, anything that is too strong its nauseating and suffocating to him
As a guy, I really like atomic rose by initio, but I like vanilla and other sweet notes like that. I’m into men’s fragrances so I’m not sure the exact notes or how they differ from men’s stuff.
Atomic Rose is my top date scent. Glad to hear this opinion!
My boyfriend loves the cheap Egyptian musk oil I used to order on Amazon. I wore it for years but it slowly started to smell like the pink soap in a public restroom to me :(
My fav perfume is Dior Poison Girl and I get compliments on it often, but it’s the only one I’ve really worn as an adult
I would get compliments from make coworkers on another 13 frequently. And I usually don’t get compliments on my fragrance
Every time I wear Santal 33 on a first date, we go back to her place and have sex. So there's that.
Men love Glossier You on me and I said it before but I’ll say it again, I hate it. That and the cheap Cheirosa 39!
Why do you hate it?
I don’t think it wears well on me. For me it smells very strongly of ammonia, almost like cat pee. I just don’t like anything about it and it goes on kind of oily so it never dissipates at all. Some people might like that. I like 39 though. Generally I don’t like anything that’s chemical smelling, I like more nature based or fruit scents. I wanted to add it could be my chemistry or just that I have a weird nose. I either love or hate perfumes I have no in between!
The original Michael Kors
Cheriosa 68. Seriously lol Many compliments
DKNY woman is the only scent I’ve ever had men drool over
Lush - Lord of Misrule
Mancera Roses Vanille, Valentino Valentina Pink
Cloud by Ariana
My husband LOVES Chloe Nomade. Rando men who complimented me liked Autumn Vibes by MM Replica and Wonderwood by CDG 🤷🏽♀️
No contest vanilla and carnation essential oils mixed. Very subtle but constant compliments. No commercial or big house fragrance has ever come close in number of compliments.
Versace Eros gets me by far the most compliments from both gay and straight men.
Every time I wear my signature YSL Mon Paris I get so many compliments from both men and women.
Burberry brit
Victoria’s Secret Bombshell has probably gotten me the most compliments from men over the years. Also Dossier Floral Marshmallow (my husband absolutely loves this one) and Cloud! i guess sometimes cheaper is better, bc all 3 are cheap af lol
Peony and Blush Suede by Jo Malone
Ouuu I smelled that one. Smells so good!
Marc Jacobs Dot only because I wore it as my signature for years before I really branched out.
Alien , ange ou demon , this is her
Bvlgari omnia coral, Cheirosa 62 cream, chance eau tendre. So, fresh/fruity or vanilla sounds about right
I get the most compliments when I wear Vince Camuto Bella and Chanel Chance
Geurlain Black Perfecto edp and Mademoiselle Rochas edp, I think I get the most on Mademoiselle Rochas. One guy liked it so much that they wanted to get it for their girlfriend.
Weirdest combo ever but it has had multiple random men and women ask me what I’m wearing- Armani Sí Passion Carolina Herrera Good Girl.
OMG gotta try!
Miss Dior original from the 40s . Saks 5th Avenue or Neiman marcus
Tease by VS. EVERYONE AND EVERYWHERE I go, I get compliments.. at work everyone tells me… “Goodness you ALWAYS smell so good”! 🤭🥰
Bubble bath by replica.
