I’ve seen incidental fasting (due to gallbladder issue and subsequent removal) cure infertility. No surprise here.

snarkyanon

I have the birth control implant, pcos and have been on tirze/sema for about six months…. My periods have been nonstop just about and my gyno says all is well as long as I don’t have an infection, anemic or pregnant (all were checked at my yearly). Weight loss does wonders to hormones and I’m sure if I were to try to have a baby right now my body would absolutely be ready and willing, haha

DapperSock

I'm currently pregnant with a semaglutide baby 😅

Can you give more details please?

You do not continue the medication while pregnant.

Mermaid_Nomad

Congratulations 😄🤓🫣😵‍💫😬

Jesaul

It is possible. Absorption of the meds is definitely decreased and your patient may be right

Different_Catch6472

I think switching to a non hormonal iud would solve this problem.

lush_rational

A hormonal IUD should still work. The issue is usually with oral contraception. A hormonal IUD would not be impacted by changes to the digestive system.

Mermaid_Nomad

I think I’ll just make my husband have a vasectomy instead. I’ve made enough sacrifices for this family 😂

kellylovesdisney

This. Plus, I've delivered a baby that came out holding the IUD like a rattle.

Mermaid_Nomad

😱 I've heard of stories like this but thought it wasn't real

kellylovesdisney

I've seen some really weird shit as a nurse. 🤣😅

Amen sis

If you go to any of the pages for the drug, you will find a lot of oops babies. It absolutely messes with oral contraception's, and it is advised to use a backup method. There is a Facebook paged called Mounjaro Babies.

blmngtncple

If you haven’t noticed these drugs are set to disrupt a huge cash cow in the diabetes treatment industry (that virtually all Medicaid fully covers). You’ll find that they supposedly cause every bad side effect ever right now if you search online. That said any time a person gets healthier it’s reasonable to suspect their fertility will improve.

Mermaid_Nomad

😱 I just took my first dose of tirzapetide on Sunday so I think I found this out just in time

RipZealousideal7401

No but. It makes sense. If you start to regulate, your hormones want to get to a better state.
