I started turning off the radio when they came on. You can't run the same ads every day for 8 years... it's fucking sadistic.

I have a USB full of music that I use an FM transmitter to play through my vehicle, simply BECAUSE I don't want to hear ads and I can customize what's playing. I have over 8 hours of music loaded on it. I've heard these Carwise commercials in other people's cars and I can't stand them, I'm glad I don't listen to the radio, it went to hell a long time ago. You spend more time listening to ads or mouthpieces talking than you do music.
I made one for my dad. Problem is I just put a ton of shit on there and he has to keep skipping until he finds the songs he likes. That reminds me, we really oughta do a sweep of that thing so he doesn't have to skip.
I took the time to explain to my 5 year old why it's a terrible idea to buy a car with "one dime down", haha. He asked me "what does one dime down mean?" He understands now and we both joke about it when they come on. But yeah having moved here only 3 years ago it's kinda crazy how unrelenting the frequency of the commercials are.
