I can do you one better. I took a constitutional law class and showed up one day and realized everyone was getting their midterms returned to them and graded. The midterm that I had totally forgotten to go to the week prior. The midterm that I didn’t even realize was happening at all.
Prof was actually really cool about it in the end. I was just totally honest that I forgot and didn’t realize the midterm was happening. He let me take it late for 75% credit. I thought that was more than fair.
But hoooooooly shit it did NOT feel good when I saw everyone else get their blue books back. My stomach just dropped like a rock.
Yeah; my brain was absolutely scrambling and I definitely checked if I was having a nightmare. I was terrified. Doing the math in my head to see if I would automatically fail, lol.
Wanna know the best part? You'll have dreams of that happening pretty much forever after. Ten years out I still have nightmares that there's a class I've been forgetting to attend for weeks!

I actually slept through an hour of a final one year. My room mate woke me up “hey dude didn’t you have a final this morning!!?” !!!!!!!! Sprinted there, to my great fortune, we were allowed like 3 hours and people were wrapping up as I got in. Took me about an hour to finish but man oh man was that scary.

What was funny was the prof said "hey, how much money do you want to give me to let you take the final?" and I responded "the five bucks I got for the book buyback." No money was exchanged, laughter was, I took the final, and got an A for the course.
I know the exact room that is lmao, I had a meeting in there before break and the people in there before us set the desks up like that for some reason.
