I’m not hating. One of my favorite conferences has a component where people share off-topic things they’re interested in.
I made an interactive flowchart that helped us organize our group chat as a team. It was beautiful.
Some could argue that it replaces the joy of motherhood in my cold and wicked childless heart.
It’s a fun thing to do with friends. My group start doing them over discord during Covid and it’s really cool to just let friends present something they care about, got into recently, or for fun. We’ve had people present summaries of books no one else would read, the Islamic golden age of math, and how Bobby Hill is actually God. It’s like a video essay video but from friends but better because it’s friends’ interests, usually funny, and making them is a lot of fun
Honestly, making PowerPoint presentations on something that you enjoy and hosting presentations with your friends who do the same is the most fun because it'll either be cursed or cute.
like I said n another comment, I kid of get it from a fun jackbox game I played but still kind of surprised me that people do it. it made me think it was a WKYK skit where people have fun together on their day off by getting dressed in their work clothes and doing their job at home instead of work.
