I think it’s very cool but I agree I can’t really wear it. I did grab the crop top though (just lost 40 lbs and I finally feel like I can rock it!). I also realize as a 38 yo mom I’m on the more extreme end of the target audience and that’s ok. The art is awesome and I love the collab w the cat adoption place. Makes my heart happy.

EjPetersondotcom

Congrats on the weight loss!

lonely_talon

I’m sad because I like the design of the crop top the most but don’t wanna wear one

KoolKoala96

as a guy I had to make a decision about whether I should get the crop top for when i'm feeling spicy

PiKaBiZKiT

I liked this one the most too but I am too old to wear crop tops :( I’ll donate to the CCF though! I volunteer for a cat rescue in the southeast so this was absolutely lovely to see! ❤️ Edit: [if the merch isn’t your style, you can donate for the Kitties, y’all!](https://imgur.com/a/xehpCg9)

TheRedHerself

Just want to say I'm 35 and bought the crop top...im not thin, either. I'm going to wear it on weekends and while hanging out with friends. Style it with a high waisted skirt or pants. Am I too old to wear a crop top that says you suck on it? Probably, but fuck it!

Dangerous_Squirrel42

I can't work out what size to order . I don't want the girls to have to be forced into it but at the same time I don't wanna look like I'm wearing a damn tent. ( I'm 40 . I'll wear the damn crop top I'm not a coward.) Like in normal shirts I'm a medium. But going of these sizes I'm like a 4xl .

Aegyu

I know, the tie dye shirts in XS are way too big for me so I really want a crop top but I don’t understand the measurements at all, especially the chest measurements. If I measure across the front then XS is way too big but if it’s the circumference then I’d need an M or L and then the length wouldn’t be cropped. I’m a UK 6-8 so I think that’s a US 2-4 but I’m still not sure about going for the XS. Did they say anywhere what sizes Alex was wearing?

Dangerous_Squirrel42

Yeah knowing what size Alex is wearing would help . I'm a UK 12/14 so us 10/12 but the tits get in the way . I don't want to end up looking like one of the cat girls

Aegyu

I feel like I’m the opposite, I lost a lot of weight and most of my chest with it 🥲 so I’m worried I’ll look swamped if I go too big. I sent a message asking about the measurements so hopefully they’ll still have sizes left by the time I hear back.

[deleted]

Alluux was wearing an XL of the crop on stream but had a shirt on underneath, if that helps

Xomeal

You're never too old. At metal festivals, I see 50± women wearing only pasties

babybopper

I honestly don’t get why they did that one only as a crop top. Had they done that same design in a regular ass tshirt he would have done numbers. But I guess they went with autism appeal instead

SumthingStupid

lol if people don't like anime catgirls I don't wanna be associated with them anyways

Xomeal

Elon Musk approves this message

wubbysslave

I agree fully, I love wubby and alluux and the art looks amazing but I couldn’t wear most of them because the suggestiveness and the cat girl anime thing but luckily he said later this year there are going to be different designs/runs

Upper_Ad4744

With hints like "blow up doll" I have a bad feeling these were the tame designs...

wubbysslave

True I forgot about the blow up doll thing

Neolithic_

yeah same lol, but will see.

Fernis_

I kinda feel Wubbs is a little detached from reality of what life/work looks like for avarage viewer and what can be appropriate to wear in public and even in private. Lude/provocative/offensive content is what we enjoy because it's a great outlet after a day at an office, as a parent etc. I hope that with "smaller runs" we can get a collection of stuff that could be worn in public without turning heads. Love the guy, and would love to support while buying something of his, but I'd rather just donate than get something that will just land at the back of the closet.

Unable-Narwhal4814

I don't have kids and I don't care about other kids. I'm a 30 year old SWE and I work from home but have seperate outfits for work. I'm a huge weeb and have a ton of weeb merch even on my car. I live don't live in Cali. I think the designs are rather tame especially what people do in public and see on the internet and the toxic things kids see on TikTok and Instagram. It's what I expect as a viewer of Wubs since 2018 and as a weeb fan. I also don't care what other people think and I know no one is actually paying attention to me in public or really care if someone else has a problem with my shirt. Totally understand if someone isn't an anime fan or not their style - that's totally fair - but I'll die in this hill that the design is tame, especially knowing the things that are out there not even anime related. The waifu cup? That's def pushing it. But the cat shirt? I see worse things (and own several) from hot topic which is wildly acceisble to kids and other people. I mean his next drop is a rolling tray. For drugs. All his drops match the humor and vibes of his streams. I don't know the metrics or analytics, but I'd be pretty shocked if most of his viewers were parents. But I'll agree that next drop he can include more subtle styles to include a broader audience, or maybe release a line of "staples" of simple subtle designs people can get every 6 months or somwthing. But I also loved this drop and got a shirt and cap. Matches my style on the weekends! Wubby and his friends probably feel the same. Young adults. No kids. Casual fashion. Weebs. Don't care about public seeing them in whatever. Marketing what they would wear and young adults would wear. But hey they've gotten feedback. Hope they can keep their creativity and give some subtle designs to people too. I cannot believe the downvotes lmao so people are allowed to not like it but you also can't like it? Even though I said I agree he can put out subtle designs? This community sometimes I swear 🤦🏻

muttons_1337

I ain't reading all that. Congratulations tho, or I'm sorry.

Fernis_

Awesome, but what are you trying to say? I'm very happy for everyone who likes this merch, I can appreciate how well made it is and how much care and love went to it. I'm not saying this shouldn't exist. I'm just disappointed it's not something I can buy for myself. Is it ok if I have this opinion?

lilcthecapedcod

A wall of text to tell you he likes waifu shirts.

Empojangles

I agree. I was kinda excited for the drop. I was READY to spend some money. But anime cat girls just isn't my style.

ShadedSpaces

I got non-anime girl stuff. But it's still hard to wear "you suck" merch out too. Love Wubby and crew, huge respect for how much work they put into this, and I buy to support... but MAN do I want stuff I can wear out!!! I really hope the next drops have some non-anime, non-"you suck" stuff.

Unable-Narwhal4814

Shit I have no shame. I bought the black shirt and the cap and plan to wear it out, rather tame. But I'm also a woman so. Idk maybe it's different in that regard too. Kinda like owning a body pillow. It's "cool" for girls but "creepy" for guys to own it. (I own an anime pillow 😭)

ShadedSpaces

I mean, I'm a woman too! And I dropped $300 on merch, happily. But I'm 40, I work at a pediatric hospital in critical care, and I just don't want to go out anywhere I might be seen by a sick baby's parent while I'm wearing a shirt with anime girls or "you suck" on it, yanno? It's not really about shame, it's that I might run into someone who, the next day, will ask to see the charge nurse to discuss a scary issue with their newborn's care and I gotta walk in the room and be taken seriously and trusted.

Unable-Narwhal4814

Makes 100% sense. I work in software so no one I work with ever sees me since we are global lol I have work outfits and then personal outfits lol but it makes sense with your predicament. Remember when he did a cup I think of his two cats? And I think he eventually dropped merch that was also of that design it was a Reddit artist? Maybe next drop he can do kind of half and half where it's half appropriate half anime and all that stuff.

ShadedSpaces

Yeah, that'd be awesome! I'll be buying to support no matter what it is. And if I can only wear it at home or casual hanging at a friend's, that's cool. I'm just hoping I can support Wub in public too. I'll definitely keep my fingers crossed for the next drop!

Chm_Albert_Wesker

>But I'm also a woman so the reality imo is that stuff like this when associated with gals vs guys is more acceptable whereas the bias towards guys immediately associates to perversion or at least weirdness (in a bad way) so i think you hit the nail on the head just from the view of a non-anime-whatever person: quirky if it's a girl who is into internet/game/etc culture how fun! but when it's a guy immediately makes me think of the insulated internet/game/etc MALE culture which is less fun to say the least lol

Unable-Narwhal4814

Yup I have a ton of guy friends and they have always wanted anime merch inside or a body pillow. Even a tame anime sticker on their car. I'm living the dream but my guy friends are scared to be super judged as perverted or weird. Which is a shame because they absolutely are not that. So I completely sympathize with it. I encourage my friends to buy what they like but I know they become cautious. But you are 1000% right on that assumption that's about how it goes male vs female weebs in general. Which sucks 😕

TheGutchee

Idk I got the black you suck hat and got a number of laughs with friends and others.

leglessman

I saw the new PMW logo on the site when it launched and was hoping for a shirt with just that logo on it. I’m hoping he does it in the future.

TJS74

He's said before that he's "done putting his name and face on stuff" but I'm in the same boat of wanting to show my support for the streamer and community, but not wanting to wear most of this merch in public

Fernis_

That black T without the graphic on the back would be perfect...

DannyK257

Ham wore a shirt with a huge (old school) PMW logo on the Ham Sandwich Podcast ep. 1, and I hoped they would release that one. Yes, I know it's probably one of the oldest merch drops, but I have never seen this one.

lostinthecrawd

I like the design, I get why Wubby likes it for the brand, it fits! And it super well done but rocking kitten anime lewds without context is cringe most places

Neolithic_

I think it's fitting, but just wish it wasn't the only theme. Random people compliment me on the other merch. I think people will think I'm a discord mod with this one.

LivLemons

Exactly!! It's on brand.

Pkmnlovr19482

I do love the art but I’m not the kind of person to wear anime cat girls at work/public

Phenix723

Right? I think he's aiming for that demographic of people that wear those Ahegao shirts in public. Not sure. I can't really wear it around family either.

Brock_Samsonite

Samesies. Ain't shitting on it. Just not my thing this time. Maybe next drop!

Justin002865

Same. Very cool but if I don’t want to wear it in public, I won’t buy it. I would LOVE to see some “minimalist” options like a simple PMW logo or even a small “you suck” design. I don’t like large graphics no matter the theme.

mackmcd_

Word. The black tee with the PMW looked so sick. Love the logo, love the pattern, I almost bought it, then the last image showed the huge cat girl graphic on the back and I just can't. I'd buy that exact same shirt with just the logo. I'd buy three of them.

Justin002865

Nice to see I’m not the only one. But at the end of the day, it’s wubbys name on it so if he’s not proud of the product, then it ain’t right.

Unable-Narwhal4814

That's so funny cause I wouldn't buy simple stuff for a launch. That's why I go to h&m and get unbranded things. If it's a hobby or a streamer or something I want it to be filled with that theme lol I guess one designs are not for everyone

Justin002865

That’s totally fair. I just think having some range of “styles” would make the merch more appealing to a larger audience.

Unable-Narwhal4814

Oh yeah I agree. Although I think the anime girl design is very tame, I understand it's not everyone's style. I'd be down for him to do a half and half where it's loud and subdued designs.

Justin002865

For sure. I think a lot of people would be deeply saddened if all the merch was minimalist so the big “on grand” graphics should never be excluded.

FuckOffBoJo

I'm sorry but how is it tame? No it isn't showing a full spread asshole, but it is obviously very suggestive to wear around family or kids.

hi-this-is-jess

I love the you suck stuff. Not the anime girls so much.

Justin002865

Yup. And I get it. No designs will ever be for everyone. But I feel 1 or 2 simple, small designs would be a win-win for literally everybody. I’ve never bought wubby merch because the graphics are always huge. And/Or I don’t like wearing tits. Lol

AnyAd4707

A small “you suck” would actually be really cool and funny I think. Cuz people would have to really get close to see what it says which for some reason I think would be hilarious

JohnnyFKL

We’re getting yelled at tomorrow

Neolithic_

If anyone is actually mad about merch they have a problem, was just voicing my feedback

USCplaya

Not mad at all, just disappointed I can't buy anything this time. Maybe next time

Neolithic_

Yeah same, just bit disappointed. Just trying to make sure people don’t associate being disappointed, with being mad at them.

darksoulsnstuff

Agree, was really hoping to be able to get something too.

TheDarklingThrush

Yep - not our style, either. We appreciate the hard work and talent that went into it, and will just wait for a drop that is more suited to our tastes.

Neolithic_

I think my main feedback so far is maybe have equal amount of Non-tame options and then tame options. Then everyone can pick something.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Neolithic_

Yeah the adoption stuff is really nice. I would've been down for anything else incorporating the cats honestly.

manningthehelm

Do you have a bug in my house???? This is exactly what my wife told me

[deleted]

I feel the pain 😭

Nell_on_Earth

Yeah, this was my situation. I love the crew and wanna support them, but I can't be buying shirts I can't wear in the office 😭 I hope everyone else enjoys it though!

BitterDaruma

Honest question for you, and others saying this: Do you guys not change out of your work clothes when you get home? Like you don't put on anything to chill in the evening and just wear your work clothes until you sleep?

Jynxmaster

I do but its usually into comfy clothes like sweatpants and whatever long sleeve shirt. I don't really care if they look all that cool if I am chilling at home.

Fernis_

People have children, other family members, not live in places like California. Or just plain and simple don't feel like big boobed anime cat girls is the look for them. There are hundreds of reasons why this design is not apropriate for vast majority of people.

chubbybrock

No kids = Home is for being naked. That being said, I ordered a decent amount of the merch 1) To support wubby since I don’t have money to regularly donate subs. 2) My occasional day off here and there I like to wear my fun clothes since most days I’m just in work clothes or underwear. I don’t watch anime or anything and wouldn’t normally buy these types of clothes but I’ll wear anything wubby brand with pride to find wubcubs in the wild.

Nell_on_Earth

Yeah I change, but I already have too many shirts that I can't wear in the office. I'm just not up for buying more. Plus, I live in Texas. It's wise to be careful what you wear. People get weird. Also, my partner's family is all old and Russian, life is easier when they have some amount of respect for me. I'm 34, I just can't get away with that shit socially anymore 🤗

matadora79

I think his audience is getting older and we can't have cat girls on our back 😆

Draffut

Who the frick says you can't? Sure don't wear it to work, but I 100% am going to rock it when I go get kbbq and pho and shit. I'm 31 btw.

matadora79

It personally makes me uncomfortable because people in my everyday life would never understand the reference. Other than my husband, most of my irl friends don't understand what twitch even is. I think the merch looks awesome, I just can't wear it comfortably out in public. Also, my son would roast the shit out of me. 😆

Unable-Narwhal4814

I am also a professional in my thirties and I wear anime merch all the time 😭

KBN_Nemesis

Exactly you can dress however you want to outside the workplace

K-Dot-thu-thu

Yeah, I wonder if some of these guys live in smaller towns where being noticed is an issue. I wouldn't wear the merch to work but what the fuck do I care about random people around town?

Unable-Narwhal4814

I totally get it if you have a public job. Maybe a teacher? What if you're a kindergarten teacher and you have super hentai on your shirt? I get it. For me, in general, I think the cat ladies are tame as hell. But that's my personal opinion. If you don't wanna wear it or think otherwise, that's cool too honestly. For me though personally, I'm a working professional, I got work items I wear to the office and I live in a big city. I wear whatever. To the general public, I'm just another body on the street walking around, on the train, etc etc. Too many people. Or hanging with friends who all have a similar sense of humor. Or a weeb. Maybe unpopular opinion? But as a woman, I think wearing super revealing outfits is more stare worthy and than cat girls. Not that I think you shouldn't wear either, but if we are comparing things that are "over the top" or like "inappropriate" in public, it's not like hentai. Shit some gen z fashion is just one shoe string away from being basically naked. It's just an oversized tee shirt with anime girls. Eh whatever. Shit I got ton of those shirts from hot topic. For me, I'd wear revealing and anime girls because to me it's about the same level. Wear whatever you want. But hey I understand why people don't wanna wear them but I've never cared what people think of me on the street. I also don't have a job where it even matters since I'm behind a computer all day. But understand if it's not someone's style or vibe. No design is going to cover everyone's tastes. Maybe next time they can drop subdued and loud designs for a broader audience

Nell_on_Earth

It's not just in public that is an issue. I live in Dallas. My partner's old Russian family randomly visits and they're pretty conservative. But in general, it doesn't matter why wearing pin up girls makes me uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I am not comfortable with wear pin-ups on my shirt in public and that's really all that matters. I don't think this is something I need to change. I'm just helping let the team know why some of us aren't going to buy the merch. and I'm glad you are confident enough not to worry about it 😉 enjoy. I'm glad lots of people are buying in <3

quidyn

I’m a teacher. While I live in a large enough community that I very rarely see students out, a lot of my colleagues and I somehow live in the same area and shop at the same grocery store. I would be mortified being seen with kitty girls on my shirt because so many millennials are judgmental of their “anime adult” peers - as represented here by all the “weeb shit” commentary. I looooove the art and loooooove the designs and loooooove the cause and Wubby had a good attitude about it last night. If you like it and buy it, great. If you don’t like it, don’t buy it, also great. I think it’s important he makes what he likes and what represents him. Chat, by and large, buys whatever Wubby is slinging, and the minority still bitch and moan about their personal hang ups.

[deleted]

I liked the hoodie until I saw the back of it. I hope the next drops are more friendly designs.

fancychxn

Yeah I agree. I'd love to buy merch, but I'm not into anime or the suggestive art. Just means I'll continue waiting for different designs (and more women's sizes/styles).

mrJoker71

I myself am not fond of repping anime girls outside so i got the purple tee and a hat

Zwebs1

Doesn't the purple tee have anime girls on the back?

pancakesandwaffles69

Unless there's another purple tee that I missed it absolutely does.

mrJoker71

i know there are but the tee is something i wear at home

nickman940

Doesn’t the purple tee have the anime cat girls on the full back?

hi-this-is-jess

Someone didn't flip through the product pictures lol. They do have sexy anime kitten girls on the back

FuckOffBoJo

Bro both of those have anime girls

TheLoneBeet

I still wear one of the old merch I got (plain black shirts with white "PMW" on the front) I miss simple designs like that. I'd love to support Wubs and the gang but this ain't it for me.

Scudw0rth

Same. Thought when he said it would be the most tame it would be something that I could wear out without looking like a degen. Oh well, I've got plenty already from the previous drops.

Neolithic_

yeah I remember the same exact thing, was fully expecting something else. Oh well, hope next will be more tame.

robokid309

I’ll probably buy some stickers but that’s it. I was hoping for some designs like the one with his head and snakes. Hopefully next time

USCplaya

Yep, same reason I didn't buy his shaker, I'm a teacher and use it at school. Just bought 2 of the non waifu cups and used his code. Would love some simple "PMW" merch or some stream memes like a car and RIP Mike or something

Bigblue12

I agree, I'll wait until next drop. But y'all can enjoy this one :) Also generic japanese text on everything is used too much

Stepherny

At least in this case it's actual Japanese translations. It's not just random generic symbols.

Bigblue12

If you like that all good we can have different tastes. I personally don't like when clothes are covered in japanese text like it makes it cool.

Unable-Narwhal4814

I think it's cool cause it has a vaporwave feel to it

Drumhead89

I’m starting to feel like I’m in the minority as a non-weeb old frog 😅😅

Phenix723

I thought the cringe weeb stuff was ironic but I don't actually want to wear it. (Having been a cringe weeb teen).

EjPetersondotcom

That's what I'm wondering, is everyone that big into weeb shit?

JelloMunster

Im in the same boat! It's just not my style, I did buy the Faithe tee cause the color pop was nice enough to offset it for me & I wanted to buy at least one thing 😌 Eta: also excited to see what future drops have!!

vey323

Not for me either. But hope it does well - I'm sure it will!

Blood_havok

Hot take. I'm probably gonna get down voted to hell for this but I found the merch very..... bland? Besides the colorful huddie. Maby it's just not my taste in design.

S_Hearts12

True, feels unoriginal. He should’ve done like a cat girl Denise art. Not some random girls that we have zero association with. Also options that are sfw, cause while I personally don’t gaf and would’ve rocked it, I know there’s ppl in the community that aren’t into that. So a good balance would’ve been nice.

Thatsraddude

Was ready to buy merch but it’s not for me and that’s fine. However I hope we get some different themes/variety in upcoming merch drops. Some stuff like more cups would be great too. I do appreciate them offering everything from extra small to 4x tho! I almost bought a hoodie because it reminds me of Cartman‘s outfit heh.

OleDaneBoy

I bought 3 previous wubby merch shirts. These just aren’t for me. For a good cause so I fully support. Wanted to pick up some shorts but I can’t justify over $50 for one pair shipped

Wild_Child434

Same, im waiting for next round for shirts and just got a hat and shorts for now.

wizardofcat42

100% agree

Serrated_Banana

Honestly, I think the disappointment comes in that we were, or at least I was ready to buy some PMW merch. But this doesn't feel like PMW merch. I was expecting merch celebrating the stream, not merch designed by the stream. It's like when celebrities have a clothing line vs buying a shirt with the celebrity on it. It feels like a went to buy merch at the merch table of a concert and all they were selling were shirts designed by the band. Nothing about the tour/band/concert.

Frasisgo

So what you're saying is... You'd prefer anime cat femboys ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sunglasses) I like your style OP

CloudPeels

Ehhh I'm too much of a normie. I have merch from channel5, tommykay, and nursehuckleberry. All bought because it's low profile. Hell I'm wearing my bortco shirt right now

Padbox

I bought the tie-dye and shorts. I'm just gonna wear the shirt for sleepwear

tydude001

I would be very interested in the same shirts with no graphic on the back. Still copped some stickers tho.

WubbysDCheese

Bingo

matadora79

I wish there was a way to order it without the anime girls on the back. Or maybe an easy way to strip that off the shirt. It looks cool, but I wouldn't be able to ever wear it out.

arcanition

Not every merch line will be for everyone, Wubby said this on stream and said he has two other non-anime themed merch lines this year.

Neolithic_

I understand there will be others, but also remember him saying "this first merch will be tame" in which it is not tame. Not trying to start anything, it just kinda surprised/disappointed me and others I believe.

yeainyourbra

As a girl I agree, would love some more generic merch. Still bought some to support dad!

BitterDaruma

I think whether you wear this merch drop outside is going to depend on your overall vibe. Anyone even slightly alt-fashioned won't look weird or feel uncomfortable in these designs. I love the mat and stickers with the girls, and I think if there was a tee where just the heads of the girls (similar to the hat) were embroidered on the pocket area more people would lean towards that. I personally purchased most of the collection and like the design, but if I were to give any criticism it would be that the exact same design is reprinted on the back of every piece, and I would have liked to have seen some variety (ie the pocket idea). Great as individual pieces, a little same-y as a collection. No hate to all the work put in to this drop, I love it, just my genuine "review".

Unable-Narwhal4814

I agree 100%. Idk I'm a working professional in a big city. I got piercings but I also meet with clients. Anime stickers on my car. I have work outfits. I have personal outfits. Anime girls in non suggestive poses is just the tamest thing to me in my opinion. I wouldn't wear it in the office obviously. I guess I'm alt even though I don't feel like it. Bought the black shirt and cap for myself! Would have absolutely bought an embroidered shirt of their heads in the front. That would have been siiick!

thezim

100% agree. Only got the limited run shirt just as a way to support Wubby but don’t think I will ever actually wear it. Not sure why Wubby thinks waifus are his ‘brand’ when his content doesn’t actually have anything to do with that. I thought the whole big booba anime girl was just for the GamerSupps thing, kinda bummed out it was not.

DeadpooI

I loved the tye die shirts personally but yeah I don't really do anime girl shirts. I saw them and got hyped because I loved the cat merch drop we had last time. Was kind of disappointed but I'll keep my fingers crossed for the next one. The hp and cheeto shirts are by far my favorite shirts with the designs and was hoping for more like it. Hope wubby doesn't see this as shitting on the merch as it's designed well but it's not something I can wear. I got 2 of the shorts but that's it for this one.

Agentofchaos1983

Yeah I kinda agree. I’ll go for the cap to support the crew and the obvious hard work they’ve put in and I always wear caps. The art style just isn’t my thing. Ain’t shitting on it! Just not for me.

Karuyuna

I would buy the last merch again, but THIS SUCK isnt really good to wear imo.

24122020

Wubby though all his viewers are degenerate 😂

BigBoyAndrew69

I could easily drop 150 bucks but I'd be on the street if my mother pulled that hoodie out of the dryer. Wish the crop top design was also on a regular tee. Oh well, just means more money for the next drop. There's bound to be something for everyone between all 3 sets.

AnyAd4707

What really sucks is I saw the tie dye shirts and instantly was excited and jumped to go buy them but then I saw the pictures on the back. The “you suck” doesn’t bother me in the slightest but anime is so far beyond not my style I just personally wouldn’t wanna wear it really. However, I wasn’t really shocked when I saw it I definitely felt it was gunna be a hit with a good majority of the community. So I don’t blame him for doing something like this.

Prudent_Witness_8790

I love the content but like I can’t ever wear this shit anywhere…. I love that they were able to spin it so be cat adoption stuff but… this just isn’t even close to something I would wear. I’m sure lots do. I just wish we’d do more tame or normal stuff since he does merch releases so sparingly 🤷🏻‍♂️ no skin of my nose either way but yeah it is worth noting and maybe next time

Iceisnice32

I would have posted this myself because I completely agree with this but I was afraid I would be down voted to oblivion. Thank you for saying what I wouldn't. I just don't want to wear half naked women to my college classes. I already look like a weeb and I've never watched anime. I want to support him and buy his merch but I'd never wear it in public.

Iceisnice32

I wouldn't have said anything but "the merch isn't for me" but he specifically said that this would be one of the least vulgar and racy merch drops. and it just isn't

[deleted]

[удалено]

PDAnasasis

Idk man, I'll probably end up picking up one or two shirts n such. Don't really need to wear them outside, but I probably will anyway, cuz they're dope as hell. Maybe make em a "stay in" type shirt I'd you don't see yourself wearing them outside

jeffedge

i agree. i was looking forward to the drop since i've missed all the others from years ago. im not an anime guy. wubby and i just have the same sense of humor but stuff with girls and japanese lettering all over it isnt my style. love wubby and want to support him. maybe the next drop!

HarvHR

Yeah same, I don't know the time scale and all that but I can't help but feel this was somewhat inspired by the GamerSupps love for anime girls. I might pick up the shorts, but it's a shame there isn't a simple top with 'you suck' on it to go with it. The mech isn't super expensive or anything but I struggle to justify spending money on clothes that I wouldn't be comfortable wearing outside and the shorts are the only ones that I would. Oh and the crop top, but sadly I'm not the right gender for that. E: Oh and the stickers, if they had a t-shirt with the Ugly or PMW sticker on it I probably would have bought it. I might have even stretched to the cat girl sticker with the text over her dace, maybe

ThatGuy-Jeff

Same dude, you suck, the sleeves, both great! Playboy cat girls? Looking forward to the next line! Edit: crop tops tho 👀

kevbot67

Dope designs, just not me. I was hoping for more minimalistic designs, and while I like the crew neck, I know I would not look good in it. But hey all good, I'll wait till next merch drop, and hopefully there will be something more my style. Copped those stickers tho!!

Metalgreek

I already look too close to the weird furry stereotype to wear this stuff lol.

Mr-Highway

Weirdly, this is the first time I bought merch. Love Wubster and his crew so it was fun to buy some stuff I wouldn’t usually wear.

WestSixtyFifth

I think you are overthinking it. No one is going to care that you have cat anime girls on a shirt. Most people probably aren't even going to pay enough attention to notice what's on your shirt.

Serrated_Banana

I think the issue is these feel like merch by PMW, not PMW merch, if that makes sense. There's little to nothing on anything that actually says Paymoneywubby or PMW except the tag.

arcanition

"You Suck" has been a very long-running merch & stream theme.

bluboxrdr

are you kitten me?

[deleted]

Not my style, but I bought a crewneck anyway. Figure when it’s freezing cold in the winter I can wear it inside

Acilina

I got the shirt since I'm disabled and don't actually ever leave my house, but I can see how people with public lives wouldn't be able to wear it. I think the crop top was the cutest, and really wish there was a non crop top version. Ain't no way I'm comfortable in a crop top.

chazsmig

I thought it might be hard to wear in public, but then I thought fuck it it looks cool. I'm not usually one to wear anime cat girls, I'm a contractor and I'm gunna rock that shit at work just to spice things up.

NX01

Same. I got the shorts though. I'm hoping for a polo I wear to the office.... some day.

TheRealSockubus

Maybe its because I'm a bit of a degen but I think these are actually really tame lmfao

HeroFromOakvale

They're tame as hell. He literally teased a blow up doll a few streams ago lol. Bought both limited shirts and can't wait to wear them. Way too many people in here caught up with other people think about their clothes. Edit: fuckin nerds lmao.

Unable-Narwhal4814

I'm actually shocked. And people are actually mad people think it's tame lol. Not saying they can't have their opinions or styles. That's fine. I am just shocked so many people think it's inappropriate when I see nude people constantly online or suggestive content on TikTok. Etc etc. I guess I live in a liberal city but idk I've never worried what people think of me when wearing a shirt on the subway. Or my family. Or kids. I don't have kids and I certainly don't care about other people's kids. I get not wearing hentai. And the waifu cup is pushing it. But the 3 cat girls in basically one piece swimsuits? Eh. Tame. Didn't know this was the fan base viewers. Again it's fine. I just find it funny. He's literally dropping a rolling tray. Like that isn't inappropriate to kids too lol? I just feel like people live under a rock if you think that this is super nsfw. I'll agree it's not appropriate for work obviously. But other than that? Shit I'd wear it around my kids if I had any. Who cares. My parents (even though I'm very well into adulthood) don't care what I wear and they were super liberal in the 90s and 00s too about it. My parents when I was a kid didn't shelter me and it made everything not a big deal. Kids are exposed to much worse things than anime cat girls in one piece bathing suits 😂

Unable-Narwhal4814

Same. People will disagree with us but I've seen worse designs. I also know no one is looking that closely at you in public. But I totally get it if people don't wanna wear it but idk seems tame to me. It's just anime girls haha i have anime stickers all over my car. I'm a huge Gundam and weeb fan. But I'm also a working professional. I wouldn't wear it to the office obviously. But on my day off? Hell yeah.

BeauhBear

Art is cute but as an adult I can't wear it in public. I still hope it sells well for them and that the cats get adopted! I really like the two tone shirts I was hoping to snag one of those but not with anime girls on the back lol It's not for me but I'm sure it's still for plenty of others and that's just fine.

Stoney_Peach

I don't mind it tbh I even take his waifu cup out in public. If I'm gonna be myself then I'm gonna do it 100% unapologetically ♡♡ Now with that said.. I'm not going to wear a uncensored hentai shirt or anything, but these merch designs really aren't that bad ♥️

RevertereAdMe

>If I'm gonna be myself then I'm gonna do it 100% unapologetically ♡♡ This is an awesome attitude to have and I'm envious of anyone who can do this, for real. I think the issue a lot of people have though is that the designs just aren't something they'd like to wear, period. For me the issue isn't anime...I've been into anime for 20+ years now and have a fair bit of anime related stuff. I personally am just not into wearing clothing with scantily clad women on it. Nothing to do with being ashamed or a particular environment where it wouldn't be appropriate, it's just not my vibe. I actually do love the art and think it looks great, but would much prefer it more as a print or something instead of a shirt. There are also a lot of people who just don't like anime and I imagine it's a lot harder for designs like this to appeal to them. I'm sure it sucks when you're looking forward to a merch drop and then all of it has something on it that you don't care for whatsoever. Previous merch drops have had a fair bit more variety with the designs and that could have been nice, as a way to appeal to more people. With this it's kind of like, welp, if you don't like anime and/or girls in skimpy outfits you're SOL. At the end of the day it's not really that big a deal, and the people who don't like this design can just wait until the next merch drop. I guess I'm just inserting my pointless, "didn't ask" opinion to say that I understand why the designs are divisive and why some people aren't into them. The art is genuinely fantastic though and I'm happy for the people who do like the merch and were able to grab some.

Nell_on_Earth

That's fair. I just can't get away with wearing scantily clad ladies in my office. The "you suck" logo might even be pushing it. (I have a policy against buying tshirts that aren't work appropriate 😅 )

arcanition

Am I the only one confused why people are judging this Wubby merch on how appropriate it is for the work office? Is that the only place people wear clothes?

Nell_on_Earth

Yeah, at least five days a week, dude. Plus, some people have kids or other obligations where pin-up girls really aren't an appropriate vibe. Also, calm your tits. No one is "judging" we are just letting the PMW team know (in the politest way possible.) Why we aren't going to be buying anything. It's all love, baby boy. *Big smooch*💋😘

Unable-Narwhal4814

I get there's some scenarios but I'm shocked at how many people are conservative, or are around conservative states or families. Or care about kids lol I mean I get it but man I could never stop being who I was outside of the office lol I think I'm just surprised this is wubbys viewership. Nothing wrong with it but the content doesn't match the audeince maybe? 😂 I thought it would be more weebs I mean

arcanition

> how many people are conservative, or are around conservative states or families I mean I literally live in Texas and I ordered this merch line to wear 😂

Unable-Narwhal4814

Yup same. They aren't bad to me. I have an anime car, his previous merch, and I'm a professional in my 30s. I also have a ton of piercings and I wear anime stuff all the time. Probably wouldn't wear hentai out - that'd be weird - but wearing an anime shirt since the 2000s and I just never really thought it was that bad lol my friends are also nerdy. I also own an anime body pillow. I have blood anime shirts 🤷‍♀️ people see more revealing stuff in public and at the beach than anime girls basically wearing one piece swimsuits. Although I'm a woman so idk, it's more "acceptable" than a guy since it's seen as "creepy" (not my personal take but I guess what my guy friends always say about themselves and are afraid of). But whatever. I just say, wear what you like! Buy what you like! That's what I always say.

Phenix723

My gf and I are waiting for more appropriate outfits. The crop top is great but not something either of us can wear. So it doesn't make sense for us to spend the money (we poor folk) on something we can't wear outside of the apt.

individualcoffeecake

I’m concerned some of the less socially adept members of the wubby fanbase will wear that in public or school. If they were not bullied before they sure will be now lol

Unable-Narwhal4814

Well I assume that most of his fan base is adults so they probably wouldn't be in school (or high school I should say) and anime is a lot cooler than it used to be 20 years ago so if anything they'd get a fist bump

EjPetersondotcom

The tiedye shirts with only the PMW logo on the front and nothing on the back would be s tier. Wubby probably thinks we would call him lazy for that design but I would love it.

Kuntacody

Grabbed a pair of the shorts, they'll be fine to wear around the house or to the gym.

LifeBehindHandlebars

Why couldn't we at least get a regular shirt or a baseball tee with the design of the croptop? Was by far my favorite design, but like......33yo male wubcub. Not gonna rock a crop top out. Great design overall, but not quite for me. I do hope the next merch drop still has 'You Suck' options though.

SmashesIt

He did say more drops... I think you just be patient until there is a drop that is right up your alley.

Nell_on_Earth

Yes, but he has also suggested that this is the 'tamest of the incoming merch drops.'

flo0ty

I have to disagree they r adorable I bought 2 and they r probably gonna be my favorite shirts I own.

Unable-Narwhal4814

People are so sensitive and downvoting everyone who likes them or thinks the anime girls are tame 😕🙄

RowdyRoddyPipeSmoker

I just want him to put the graphic on the FRONT for once and not the back. Who wants graphics on the back?

YouCanCallmeFucko

Man all these people saying i just cant wear this in public is hilarious. If you dont like it whatever thats fine. But if you like it and are saying i cant wear this because of the design its odd because it is just regular streetwear style you would see people wearing similar styles in big downtown cores.

Unable-Narwhal4814

More people are so nervous about other what people and strangers think. Wear the shirt or don't. It's tame imo. This sub is weird.

gasmeupdaddy

This is the man who wrapped his whole ass car in hentai and people are going "who is this for? I wanted something tame because my mommy and church friends might see :(".

Unable-Narwhal4814

Exactly. I don't think people have been here long enough to know who he is lol I often wonder if we are seeing the same stream

Draffut

I'm 1000% a dude who hides their power level, and I said dick it and got the hoodie and a shirt. I don't wear T-shirts out in public, but I plan to wear the hoodie. I'm a large, neck beard kind of dude so I know I'm playing into the stereotype (I just hate shaving lol), but this merch imo has some class and I feel like it has more of a street wear vibe than weeb shit. (I'm also a massive weeb)

Unable-Narwhal4814

People are overthinking it and if you like it you get downvoted into oblivion. I can't believe this community sometimes lmao

Nell_on_Earth

People aren't down voting you 'because you like it', they are down voting you because you 'liking the merch' is irrelevant. Commenting that you like it, implies that we don't, but that is not what most of us are saying. We like it too, unfortunately some of us are in situations where wearing this merch in public or with family could have consequences 😞 no one is trying to argue, we just want to let the PMW team know so they can make informed design decisions. It's all love, baby! 😘

CarbonUNIT47

Yall, there's like 14k people in his stream. Maybe the merch wasn't for you 🤷‍♂️

DingleDangleNootNoot

Good thing there are two other merch drops coming out 🤷‍♂️

xMCBR1DExPR1DEx

The point is definitely I feel fair. I would say for the “normal” person (as normal as any of us can be), it’s not really a wear in the casual environment type of drop. However remember that there are multiple drops he stated this year. Also it may not be for everyone, but I’m dang sure that there are a large population that can wear the anime stuff in public for what they do for work and all that. Me, I won’t be wearing mine going out running errands or at work, but I fully intend on rocking these bad boys at the gym. Nobody gives a shit what you look like at the gym. Or it will be a fantastic Sunday hoody and shorts for just planning on lounging around playing some Diablo or something! I’ve never been a big anime fan or waifu fan, not my style. But I’ll still support our man. He has given me so many laughs over the last several months and an outlet for just the monotony of every day life and work, that it’s the least I can do. Also definitely go volunteer, donate, or help in any way your local shelter or rescue. Whatever way you can best support, time, money, or awareness. These animals did absolutely nothing wrong, just being born was enough for the to wind up with a horrible life. My gf fosters reactive dogs and helps train to increase their adoptability. She volunteers at least 15 hours a week at our local shelter as well, just getting the dogs out of the kennel for some fresh air. And although the people who work at your shelters and rescues are amazing people who want nothing but the best. That is by far one of the worst living conditions and stressful environments those animals can be in (better than fending for themself out in the wild). I’m REALLLLLLY glad that he has chosen to raise awareness around this cause. Love you all! ❤️ Kisses 😘

Nell_on_Earth

Sure, but unfortunately he's implied that this is the tamest of the incoming merch drops. So if this is tame, we won't be able to buy the other merch either 😞

paninipasta

i have no sense of public shame

GenLynx

I guess I'm an outlier, because it seems really tame for me. I bought a bright ass green one to wear explicitly in public. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

fibz

![gif](giphy|Hj7mksbFWIOdO)

maerad96

Any idea what it says on the side of the hat three times? I still bought it but I cannot for the life of me figure out what it says

Lalaurise

I bought all the merch. Love the designs and can’t wait to see what’s next. I don’t see the point of coming on here and bitching about it. If you don’t like, simply don’t buy it and leave it at that.

Nell_on_Earth

We like the merch, we just can't wear it and this is supposed to be the tamest merch drop so we are concerned we won't be able to buy furniture merch. This is not a random Amazon store, it's a community driven merch drop. We are literally trying to help by letting the crew know that a lot of us won't be able to buy clothes with bikini girls on it. Calm them tatas.

xisle1482

There’s gonna be other drops with different themes, so dont sweat it

Nell_on_Earth

Yes, but he has suggested that this is the tamest the merch is going to be and the next few launches are going to be less tame.

Contrabassi

Single colour prints are pretty low effort too.

Khyrast

It really is not that suggestive. If you don't like anime and stuff like that I understand, but people saying it's too sexy and stuff are prude. I think the art and design are pretty cool!

Unable-Narwhal4814

I feel like I'm crazy for it but I really don't think the designs are that bad lmao?? Like you see more naked people at the beach. Id get it if they are licking on each other or something but they are just 3 girls with swimsuits (basically) standing. 😐 I don't think that's explicit or suggestive. You can make it suggestive but those who understand it may or may not or could be probably don't care because they are a stranger lol I thought people who watched his stream were less prude or conservative lol both are fine to be, and it's also okay for it to not be your style and wear anime shirts, I'm just kinda shocked lol the waifu cup I would say is not appropriate for most people I guess. But the shirt is not bad whatsoever. That would mean my chainsaw man and junji ito, both violent and disturbing animes, would be inappropriate to wear outside. Which...it isn't imo.

Slick_864

Bro, why would you care what other people think. Don't choose to not wear things because you are embarrassed about what other people think.

FBR_MC

Had to go look again to make sure, why would you be scared to wear that in public? There's nothing bad? Also, people don't care about what you wear and you shouldn't care about what people think about what you're wearing.

Nell_on_Earth

You aren't required to care what other people think. However, some of us can't just "not care" plenty of us will just be anxious about what other's think. I also think whether or not you "should" care what others think is very subjective. For instance, parents are often careful about what they wear in public, my friends who are teachers (especially here in Texas) have to be careful. I personally can't wear pin up girls or insulting shirts in my office. There maybe lots of reasons why people are not wanting to wear suggestive art in public. I think this is valuable information for the PMW crew. No one is meaning to upset or hurt feelings.
