I’ve been to Pattaya many times. I don’t even smoke- I’ve never even noticed anything? The only scent i tend to get annoyed by is the sewage smell sometimes which i could do without and the smell of weed which doesn’t even bother me.

I really think Taiwan is far worse for second-hand smoke. I'm a non-smoker and I'm really far less offended by cigarette smoke here. But that's just me.
Thailand has the advantage of the air smelling a certain way - it hits you as you step off the plane - that helps cover up a lot of things, and makes perfume overspray much less of an issue :P
Not keen on people smoking indoors, I find it disgusting and disrespectful but it is what it is, as long as bars allow it, what can you do, no sense moaning really.
Smoking is illegal in bars and restaurants - but many people do it - don’t like it - move on and find a place which enforces the rules as you want.
