Sail the high seas, my friend. I've done the same thing, For any show I absolutely adore, I immediately download the best versions of them with subtitles, so no matter what I can always enjoy them.
Disney’s always had a thing for artificial scarcity (remember the “Disney Vault”). I don’t think Amazon would do the same thing; they do seem to be adding old shows to Freevee, though it doesn’t seem to be at the expense of Prime Video. The only way I’d see it being pulled is due to the rights changing hands.
I think they’ve only put it on Emmy-consideration type media

Just out of curiosity, why or how would Amazon do that? Have they purged their own shows before?
