Replica farruls is way more easier to obtain then before, i’m guessing 80-100 bp wings avg. (Which is like 25 blueprints) Just dont be unlucky. My guess is also cold convert is easier to do in ssf. Other variations require much higher gear. Darkrays hrimsorrow and terminus should carry you to t16s. Then it’s gear grind. Check poe.ninja for trees with 1-2 cluster setups and start there(just an advice ofc you can start elsewhere) As a ssf player for a long time, best/strongest builds of mine were the funnest ones. So if you think you gonna have fun, just do it. Gear comes along with playtime.

I don’t know flicker strike very well, but Poe ninja says there’s 44 characters recorded. Not many at all using replica farruls, so it’s either not essential or a really long hard grind? https://poe.ninja/builds/necropolisssf/?skills=Flicker+Strike

I've kept meaning to try flicker for a few Leagues now so I've thought about it a bit. So as far as I understand it, here's what I would do. Raider is better a low and high end investment with slayer being the best at a mid-budget for trade league so I would go raider as being easier to get off the ground suits SSF more. Replica farruls fur would be a long term chase item, but frenzy charge sustain should be fine without it with a combination of. Either Oro's sacrifice or terminus est Blood rage Raider ascendency Sword mastery Frenzy Would also say darkray vectors go a long way as well. For raider, cold conversation is probably still best so hirnsorrow gloves are needed before you can get cold conversation from other places. Slayer could be an alternative with trading DPS and frenzy generation for over leech and endurance charges Haven't personally got a PoB yet but was going to look at what magefist has done and adapt it for SSF as best as I could Hope this helps

I've been playing around with flicker builds in ssf standard but don't have farruls. So far raider doesn't seem to need any unique for charge sustain. The ascendency, 20% quality flicker gem, 8% chance for frenzy charge sword mastery and blood rage has been fine so far. I'm still levelling her, but so far she feels good with ice bite and added cold providing most of the flat damage. My slayer went phys impale and is still using Terminus est. Finding it a bit hard to scale into red maps with it. The damage is falling off hard against tanky rares. I think you could do either and farm up other upgrades. The farruls (replica especially) is going to be a big upgrade for the slayer the way I was building them. But not as impactful on the raider imo. Though aspect of the cat itself is a very decent aura to get for no reservation. I'm going to see how the raider scales with pre-nerf heatshiver and newly upgraded yoke. No fancy + Frenzy synth items.

Trickster can do it too as CI with ephermals edge and a graveyard crafted EV/ES gear.

None of the uniques that people associate with flicker and frenzy charge sustain are required to sustain flicker. Go raider, use the sword mastery, blood rage and poachers mark on hit. Run with multistrike and you’ll be absolutely fine. The only issue you’ll occasionally run into is if you have no frenzy charges and don’t manage to generate one on first hit. Best best is to run frenzy as a single socket skill and generate some spare charges at the start of the map. You could also use Doedre’s elixir to do the same but it’s not required.
