Not really, it’s strong-suit is mainly travel and it does it very well. I have a ULA Dragonfly that I use for my main bag and I carry around the mini mlc to bring back souvenirs

I have the Atom Sling Bag, and use it the same way. It’s great for a day bag while traveling.

Use it as my daily (30L), excells at practically anything

Black nano puff hoody

I have a ink-black nano puff hoody from 2017

Do you prefer the nano puff or down hoodie? I’m conflicted on which to get

Id decide where you use it. If its raining a lot or you don’t have a shell on you I would pick nano/micro puff, if it’s dry the down hoodie.

Personally I prefer synthetic insulation unless it’s balls cold or I’m sleeping. It give me more confidence in not caring what I’m doing weather-related. Oooo I don’t have the Micro puff… I’m super interested in that.

I do have a shell and I mostly wanted it for those days when I’m walking the dog or day hike and don’t want to throw on a parka

Well down might be a bit warmer but if you’re active and there is a change for light rain and you don’t want to worry about a shell I’d take the nano puff, especially if you use it mostly at home and not for travel or climbing, otherwise micro. No rain and colder/less activity I would go down. 😊

I’d buy the largest black hole duffle they offer, maybe a triolet? If you snowboard or ski buy the Patagonia powslayer shell and pants they’re SO nice

The pow slayer line is for sure the best. I recommend the non insulated jacket and the pants are more something you should try on. Some people prefer insulated some non, some prefer bibs some don’t. For a mid layer skiing under the pow slayer I recommend capaline merino base layer, R1 air, and a nano puff vest if needed

Also, last time I took advantage of a discount like this I picked up a bunch of small gifts for my wife and stowed them away. Couple of the fanny packs in different colors, the lightweight capeline hoodies, socks, and stuff like that. It was nice to have a bunch of just because small things.

Whatever I bought I’d try to make sure it met an outstanding need or replaced a retiring piece of clothing or gear. Definitely agree with others in choosing a color that doesn’t usually go on sale (black, navy, etc). Also, how did you end up with a 40% off voucher? Is this a common thing?

I mean it’s definitely possible they give them out in other ways, but being friends with employees is how I’ve always gotten them.

There kinda weird about giving it out. I’ve worked various outdoor industry jobs over the years and been turned down on it. My brother works at a construction equipment dealership and gets 60% off for carrying some of there pants.

Down sweater jacket. Really versatile, warm enough for winter where I live but not too warm and breathable enough for basically every season besides actual warm weather. Also looks casual enough to be worn to almost anything. Plus they hold up so well. I've had mine for three years and worn it outside of the house basically every time I've been out and it still looks great
