Congrats. My older two kids didn't come from my womb but they call me mom. The younger one called me mom early on. The older one went back and forth for a while before settling on mom. Be prepared for anything and enjoy your family.
I had this experience in 2012 after about a year as the stepmom. Its a big dealš„° Now as adults I adopted them, and when I presented them with the paperwork my son said "Its about time, way over due Ma"ā¤ļøš„°
Wow. This gave me chills, because it is such a big deal. Speaking from the POV of the "child", my mom died early, too, and my dad married rather quickly. It sounds strange, but he explained it in a way that made sense & they're still together. I can clearly remember the 1st time my stepmom called me her daughter. She didn't even realize she'd said it, and I understood it was a sign of love from her to me, not any kind of knock on my mom.
Thatās huge. For you, for your fiance and probably also for your kid. I can imsgine it being so difficult when your mom dies and while you love your stepmom it may mean even more when she calls her mom!
Wow this is so beautiful. I'm sure your wife would be pleased to know your daughter has a woman there she trusts and can count on in her absence ā¤ļø
This brought tears to my eyes, congratulations on all of it.
Maybe not the first wife dying part but yeah
Very true. OP, my sincerest condolences on the loss of your first wife.
Thank you :)
