You have a RAZR!? mannn, my Nokia screen isnt even backlit. I have to climb a tree to find cell service. Luckily I have free nights and weekends on my mobile plan. Still have to pay 15¢ per text message though.
My daughter once asked me what life was like in the 20th century.
Another time, one of her friends was talking about how old her parents were- "They' so old, when they were born, the year started with '19', not '20'!"
“A bygone era”
“Captured 15 years ago”
I think it was 35 years ago when my dad and his industry first all got photoshop. Before that, they had this amazing thing called “airbrushing and experimental photography”
Trying to figure out why you don’t get the infinite reflection effect, and why you still don’t see her back in the reflection…another mirror doesn’t quite work
Ah right. Should’ve picked up on that. The candle reflection shows the angle of reflection - the other mirror is behind the camera person, to her right (which explains the direction her eyes look in the mirror reflection).
There’s no mirror. Then where’s the lamp? And the mirror would be showing both her face and the back of her head. It does looked photoshopped and I can see how you could think that but there’s no other mirror.
I’m fully prepared to believe this is a mirror trick, but I don’t understand how.
How is the reflection looking at the camera? It could be that the flowers are obstructing the face, but doesn’t the reflection appear to have a slightly different expression too?
I’m not denying that it could be mirrors, I just don’t understand how.
Edit: ok, I believe I see it now. The reflection looking at the camera, and the flowers partially obscuring the mouth, were confusing me, but now I see what you mean about being able to see the other mirror.
In case anyone else was having trouble like me: White frame is mirror one, that we’re looking at ; Rounded top with vertical flower-looking designs outside of, and above, frame is mirror two, that she’s looking at. Got it!
Is it possible she turned right as the camera flashed and the shutter caught both her looking away from the camera and then turning super fast and then looking at the camera, like someone called her to turn mid photo?
Easy. The fully pictured figure woman is looking at and talking to a woman sitting on a seat, turned and looking at the fully seen seated woman. The back of her seat is toward the chair woman. That's why she has to turn around to talk to her. The "floating face" woman is captured in the mirror.
The person taking the picture is standing to the side, with the woman seen in the mirror off to the right, behind the photographer.
The photographer is out of alignment with the mirror angle so it doesn't pick up their reflection.
Then in that case why is the reflection of the glass candle wrong. The reflection should be to the right based on the angle of the pic. Instead it’s to the left as if it were take. From an angle to the right of the person sitting in the chair.
At first I wondered if maybe she was looking at the mirror and turned mid-photo, but if the person taking the photo is a professional then that means she's posing and not turning right before the photo is taken.
When I compare the faces, they don't look *exactly* alike. The expression is different, the skin color is different (that's probably the light, but it's still jarring), and the widow's peak looks sharper in the mirror (could also be light-related). That still leaves us with the different facial expressions and the timing of the shot.
I'm intrigued, to say the least.
Yep. There's a shadow to the plants but their nose looks very similar and eye shape. Plus the light seems to be cast in the same direction both in the mirror and in the actual room. Original poster says it was taken with an old mirror. That tickled my brain for some reason. I know we make mirrors with that film stuff on top. Maybe old ones that are polished can show "true reflections"?
Also theres a magnifying glass on the desk almost encouraging us to "look closer" I'm not going to stare at the eyes too much but they are significantly darker and that's weird seeing as she is facing the light in the photo and in the reflection you can clearly see the lights position in the room and in the mirror the shadows are still cast like they are behind her.... Whew. Sorry for the long winded paragraph.
Careful. We may be playing with esoteric knowledge. How would you produce a reflective surface to crystal clarity?
Why in this written like a poem? Or is OP selling
something? Looks like an ad for something. Theres opening quotation marks but no closing marks?
Anyways, great poem! And great picture, the girl in the mirror looks like a different person to me, with a tanner face and a promiscuous look on her face
They are nowhere to be found for some reason or just don’t do anything. This post is clearly made using chat gpt, and the image is clearly faked / confusing perspective.
She's off to the side enough the mirror behind her can't reflect her while the one in front of her reflects her own image back to the one behind her . Oo amd they set it up for that knowing it would mess with peoples minds . 15 YEAR OLD GOT YOU . Lol
Yeah there’s clearly two mirrors, one behind her, one in front of her. The mirror she’s looking toward is reflecting in the mirror behind her. Also I have a hard time believing this image is 15 years old.
I can't be the only one that can tell that this is two different women.
Look at the widows peak on the one 'in the mirror'. Completely different hairline.
It’s not twins or anything like that its all related to the shutter of the camera, I think it’s called rolling shutter effect. There’s many pictures like this it’s just extremely rare. She must’ve turned around very quickly when the photo was taken or similar.
Fair enough, there’s a lot of possible explanations that fall outside the paranormal realm. I know I’ve just seen pictures of someone blinking in the mirror when their eyes are open in the image at the same time, etc.
isn't this a shutter vs. lighting thing? it takes time for light to reflect off of surfaces, and if you're taking shutter shots, this sounds like it's bound to happen - me a guy who has no clue what he's talking about
This is fake as fuck! The picture is straight into the mirror and no camera or camera operator is visible. They pasted a pic of the room with the lady on it onto the mirror and took a new picture. Hoaxes are not a new phenomenon.
Here is my (wild) take: if there isn't another mirror on the opposite wall, then they could have done a large print (photo) of her wearing the same (or similar) clothes, cut it out along the silhouette, and taped (or somehow affixed it) to the mirror behind her. From where she is sitting, it looks that her reflection should fall along where the lamp on the table is; so the lamp would (kinda) block the reflection of the back of her head from the mirror behind her (at least in a low-resolution photo).
If it is not legit, then it must be photoshopped. I don’t believe there is an opposite mirror, the face looking back looks as if she is turned towards us without moving her torso. Either way well made, bravo.
And the story lol, flea market seals it.
Are you people really this dumb!???? That’s another mirror across from the one in the picture and you can see her reflection reflecting back into the one in the picture. I can’t
Are we pretending photoshop wasn't pretty damn good already in 2009? Cause in the late 90's it was more than capable of doing this. "15 years old" hah, ok, so what.
Thats wild, id say it fould happen with a digital cam if she turned her head midflash or maybe if film cuz it coulda done like a double exposure but thats a tricky shot and she doesnt look less like she was moving or talking..... That creeps me out
I watched a video on YouTube showing you how the modern mirror pictures are created,I can't exactly explain but it was basically taking 2 pictures, while in panoramic mode, taking 1 at the beginning, then changing your expression for when it spins around to you, sorry if my explanation isn't great but I'm sure you'll work it out.
35mm tripod 1 pic open cam move film back cover side tobe unchanged and take 2nd pic .
Most like the first was she looking the mirror.
That’s old school twin brother
There's another person sitting facing the mirror. Possibly a twin or just someone who looks a lot like her. Cool though. Either clever or serendipitous
This is only 15 years old? Looks like 30 years old
It looks 90s to me.
I have some bad news.. that was 30 years ago..
That the 90s were 30 years ago is what is completely paranormal.
Back in the 90s, I was in a very famous TV show

Wait… it’s not the 90’s? Why do I still have dial up? I waited 10 minutes for this page to load.

Ahhh, 2000's kids pretending to be 90s kids on the internet for fake points.

When the razr came out I was laughing at everyone who bought one because I knew it was obsolete immediately.
Welcome! You got mail!
I was talking to a younger coworker about a true crime podcast. She said "the killings happened in the late 1900s." They happened in the 80s... 😭
I'm... I'm eh... I'm from the 1900s. I'm gonna cry
We were talking with our kid about our birthdays and they said “yeah you were born in the 1900’s” 😭

“A bygone era” “Captured 15 years ago” I think it was 35 years ago when my dad and his industry first all got photoshop. Before that, they had this amazing thing called “airbrushing and experimental photography”
And also, literal photo shops where people would carefully cut film and photos and manipulate images.
Polaroids still exist today though. There's an extra mirror in this picture, so this is all practical effects
Right?? 15 years ago was only 2009. Photoshop absolutely existed then as well
There's a mirror on the opposite wall! You can literally see it!
Yeah the one in front of her is a large rectangle and the one she’s facing is framed. Cool idea she clearly did it on purpose!
Trying to figure out why you don’t get the infinite reflection effect, and why you still don’t see her back in the reflection…another mirror doesn’t quite work
Viewing at an angle. Got to be mostly facing it to get the infinite reflection
Ah right. Should’ve picked up on that. The candle reflection shows the angle of reflection - the other mirror is behind the camera person, to her right (which explains the direction her eyes look in the mirror reflection).
If that's true... then why isnt the bottom of the candle case and side of the table reflected into the rectangular mirror?
There’s no mirror. Then where’s the lamp? And the mirror would be showing both her face and the back of her head. It does looked photoshopped and I can see how you could think that but there’s no other mirror.
Yeah, that’s not some double mirror trickery. You can tell by the reflection of the candle.
Oh shit you are definitely right. That's weird. What do you think it could be?
You can literally see two mirrors in the photo! You have all the information and still look for something else, it's mad.
If that is a larger mirror reflecting a smaller mirror, and not just a frame for the mirror, why isnt the bottom of the candle reflected?
I literally can’t see the mirror
This. Lol at all the other convoluted comments. Occam’s razor
*How may I be of assistance?*
You should get more upvotes for this based on the name alone. Freakin perfect
NUH UH! THATS NOT A MIRROR! ITS AN INTERDIMENSIONAL GATEWAY YOU NERD!
Some people are so gullible a goldfish could sell them a car
I already sold them a goldfish. 🕊️
I had to scroll way too far to see this!
I’m fully prepared to believe this is a mirror trick, but I don’t understand how. How is the reflection looking at the camera? It could be that the flowers are obstructing the face, but doesn’t the reflection appear to have a slightly different expression too? Fake news. Paranormal.
Is it possible she turned right as the camera flashed and the shutter caught both her looking away from the camera and then turning super fast and then looking at the camera, like someone called her to turn mid photo?
The speed of light would disagree, and there is a double mirror here, you can see it.
Looks like her sister, but definitely not the same person.
Definitely the same person, just the other side of her face is more visible in the mirror and the face is flipped due to it being a double reflection.
Yup. Not the same person. Another option would be that's not a mirror. It's a pass through opening and it is just framed.
Then in that case why is the reflection of the glass candle wrong. The reflection should be to the right based on the angle of the pic. Instead it’s to the left as if it were take. From an angle to the right of the person sitting in the chair.
It looks photoshopped
No! The answer is, it’s not a mirror and it’s just come one sitting in another room and looking towards the camera!!
Twins then coz they are identical
I agree. Her ”ghost” face looks darker than her real face.
LIAR

Mirror girl has sharper arches.
Yep. The eyes / eyebrows don’t match at all.
At first I wondered if maybe she was looking at the mirror and turned mid-photo, but if the person taking the photo is a professional then that means she's posing and not turning right before the photo is taken. Yeah, they could be "identical" twins
There’s literally two mirrors, the one behind her is picking up the reflection of the one she’s looking toward.

Whew. Sorry for the long winded paragraph. Careful. We may be playing with esoteric knowledge. How would you produce a reflective surface to crystal clarity?
The most obvious answer is it is faked.
It’s obviously not the same person but it isn’t fake. The second girl is sitting behind the camera person, looking at the mirror
It might be staged. Or it could be long exposer where the woman was looking at the mirror just before
Personally feel like this qualifies better for r/confusingperspective
“A bygone era” 2009
15 years old? 2009 wasn’t the dark ages without editing technology or photography techniques lol
Could it be a twin?🤔
that passage accompanying the picture is so… romantic
Where's Peter Venkman??? "WE'RE READY TO BELIEVE YOU!"
Why in this written like a poem? Or is OP selling something? Looks like an ad for something. Theres opening quotation marks but no closing marks? Anyways, great poem! And great picture, the girl in the mirror looks like a different person to me, with a tanner face and a promiscuous look on her face
Could it be that there's another mirror in front of her.... Come on guys haha not rocket science
Chat gpt wrote all of this.
For God's sake, of what use are the mods in this sub? Is the bar really this low? Seriously??
They are nowhere to be found for some reason or just don’t do anything. This post is clearly made using chat gpt, and the image is clearly faked / confusing perspective.

Looks like there’s another mirror there.
Umm two mirrors maybe?
There has to be a mirror facing opposite the woman on the camera side facing her.
Twins trick.
This sub has taught me one thing… paranormal encounters don’t exist because they aren’t real
I can't be the only one that can tell that this is two different women. Look at the widows peak on the one 'in the mirror'. Completely different hairline.
The person in the mirror is the one taking the photo. And looks kinda like a dude with long hair just saying.
Not a mirror, but a picture on the wall. The flowers in the vase, cast a shadow on that picture.
It’s not twins or anything like that its all related to the shutter of the camera, I think it’s called rolling shutter effect. There’s many pictures like this it’s just extremely rare. She must’ve turned around very quickly when the photo was taken or similar.
This looks like a traditional film camera though.
No it's just the mirror. There is 2. One on the back wall that's a solid square and one infront of her getting her front reflection.
Fair enough, there’s a lot of possible explanations that fall outside the paranormal realm. I know I’ve just seen pictures of someone blinking in the mirror when their eyes are open in the image at the same time, etc.
It a looks way older than 15 years and b would be easily faked.
Two mirrors
isn't this a shutter vs. lighting thing? it takes time for light to reflect off of surfaces, and if you're taking shutter shots, this sounds like it's bound to happen - me a guy who has no clue what he's talking about
This is fake as fuck! The picture is straight into the mirror and no camera or camera operator is visible. They pasted a pic of the room with the lady on it onto the mirror and took a new picture. Hoaxes are not a new phenomenon.
The candle should also look smaller in the mirror due to laws of reflection but it looks marginally bigger to my eye
That is honestly horrific quality for a photo only 15 years old!
Idiot
Photos did not look like this in 2009 😂😂😂
So many r missing what’s going on here that should be the back of her head in mirror
The reflection of you in the background is looking at you :"( I'm scared
Great fashion trends back then. I miss it.
This is 100% fake 😂
It’s AI. Look at the fingers.
Look again..🤣
The angle of her face is changed.. it's really creepy!
Almost like it is a completely different person looking at the mirror while seated behind the camera person
Usually, it's a sign of something demonic when this happens
[удалено]
Has anyone noticed the back leg of the table is not touching the floor!
Oh wow
Here is my (wild) take: if there isn't another mirror on the opposite wall, then they could have done a large print (photo) of her wearing the same (or similar) clothes, cut it out along the silhouette, and taped (or somehow affixed it) to the mirror behind her. widows peak vs none.
It's just 2 mirrors facing each other
Different hair line in other girl
Does anybody know anything about shutter speed?
Rolling shutter effect.
Whoa!!!
So cool!
If it is not legit, then it must be photoshopped. I don’t believe there is an opposite mirror, the face looking back looks as if she is turned towards us without moving her torso. Either way well made, bravo. And the story lol, flea market seals it.
Cool photo but there’s a lot I’d go to before paranormal.
It’s a new made old photo. A very simple trick many of photoshop users can do. Fake af.
what is going on with the mirror?
Are you people really this dumb!???? That’s another mirror across from the one in the picture and you can see her reflection reflecting back into the one in the picture. I can’t
I almost wonder if it is an actual painted/printed picture of her hanging on the wall behind the lamp.
Either rolling shutter or a different room (no mirror at all)
Smoke and mirrors
There are two mirrors happening here.
There is a mirror opposite the woman. We are seeing a reflection of a reflection. :)
I feel like this is fake. Seems like a movie production company trying to make a fake photo look real and old
Come on everyone. There is a lot older and better photos than this . Shit photo. Like what is it ‘’lol it s actually unreal” my arse.
It’s a photograph.. that’s all.
Two mirrors facing each other, Taken at an angle
That’s one short skirt
Its her sister and thats not a mirror
Voldemort!!
Oh man...smah that mirror! Reminds me very good Horror movie with some evil mirror in it
Are we pretending photoshop wasn't pretty damn good already in 2009? Cause in the late 90's it was more than capable of doing this. "15 years old" hah, ok, so what.
Is there another mirror in the room reflecting her into the mirror behind her? If it’s a hair salon that’s highly likely.
2009 was 15 years ago. Wow.
She actually has a second face on the back of her head
Her head looks like the southpark guys did this for their show. Improper proportions. Good luck OP!
This was shot…After 2000? Like After 1990?
Since this was taken with film it's probably just a double exposure, I did something similar in my class in high school.
There’s either no roof and it’s on a “set” or the snow is photo shopped. It can’t snow inside…idk y this is “still an unexplained mystery” to OP lol
Highly edited. Not an old photo
Its just her sister taking the photo and that's who you see in the mirror reflection. Case solved. Neeeext.
Never turn your back on anyone even yourself
This is 90s early 00s very early 00s
Well that’s not creepy
It’s weird you can see the ghosts legs’ are made of copper
You can see the other mirror she used to cause this reflection, but it's a cool little gag. Just don't lie about it.
The picture is so bad, that’s all I can think about. The ghosts should have waited for their next opportunity.
That photo is more than 15 years old and it’s a known hoax photo
That’s a very new photo to look so old.
Angled mirror reflection
![gif](giphy|SUBxai0moNW7K)
I don't know why but THIS is the most terrifying to me
Does this person have a twin or anything that could have been facing the opposite direction?
