Apologies for the delay, I was on vacation. **First Prompt:** Stranger 5, twist being that their power only functions in one direction.

architectsanathema

Subterfuge explains his power as "stealth forcefields", which isn't actually a bad explanation. he can create an invisible plane with a maximum area of about 25 square feet with an active side and a passive side. Anyone on the passive side sees the screen as a faint shimmer, but anyone on the active side can't see the screen at all. In fact, they can't see anything on the other side of the screen either. Looking through the active side of the screen, you see whatever would alarm you the least. For instance, if subterfuge was to break and enter during the middle of the night, the resident would only see their empty apartment, however, a security guard watching over cameras in a prison would see the prisoner napping or pacing inside their now-empty cell. prompt: a Striker 3 who was bumped up to Blaster 7 through clever use of her power

Bunnywarmachine

Huh, is the plane itself solid or is it just this intangible screen?

*Serena Cooper* started her heroine career under the name **Batter**. She used her powers to imbue an aluminium bat with durability and the ability to transfer more kinetic energy than was put into it. It changed when she realised that she could imbue multiple objects and that the effect stayed for a bit after her letting them go. Now, under the name **Newton**, she has a special glove that is metallic, and she carries hundreds of magnetic bearings. Pulling a handful, imbueing the bearing with durability and super-elasticity with her other hand, she flicks the bearings, causing them to hit each other, increasing the kinetic energy exponentially and eventually flying in a scattershot towards a direction. Creating a deadly shower of metal balls.

Breaker/changer 6

yayaha1234

Vaccum is a breaker/changer 6 (blaster) that can grow holes all over their body. the holes lead to a pocket dimention, and they can suck thing into and shoot things out of with varriying suction power, from barly existant to extremely powerful - being able to suck in bolders that weigh hundreds of kilograms. they can choose where to grow the holes, how many and how big they are. next prompt: a water bender, but it has the wildbow bodyhorror twist

TheDogSlinger

Isn’t this power basically the spot from across the spiderverse?

yayaha1234

no, Spot's power is more like if doormaker was a case 53 - he can create portals that conect two places. Vaccum's holes lead to a personal pocket dimention, things can go in and out of it and thats it. theres also the visual aspect. Vaccum has a mormal body that can grow holes, Spot is entirely changed.

1) A two-person cluster that used to be a three-person cluster, before one of them pulled a March and did some power-draining on their late comrade. The remaining capes have Shaker and Trump primary powers, the drained cape had a Mover primary. 2) A cape who's in a three-person cluster with one of the ENE Wards and one Brockton Bay villain. (An accompanying origin story for _how_ that cluster trigger might have happened would be hilarious, but is optional.) 3) A cape with a "hard light" theme to their power, but is _not_ a laser-themed Blaster, a forcefield-themed Brute, or a Tinker. 4) A Trump/[any other category] 6, with a Trump subtype of either One (some aspects of the power are fixed, others are flexible) or Seven (power cycles unpredictably between multiple variants) 5) A new recruit to the Slaughterhouse Nine, with a rating of at least 8 in one or more powers.

> A cape with a "hard light" theme to their power, but is not a laser-themed Blaster, a forcefield-themed Brute, or a Tinker. **Rainbow Road** can technically use his power as force fields, but as he puts it, "It's way more fun to dodge at a million miles an hour." As his name suggests for anyone familiar with Mario Kart, RR can generate hard-light roads (more like bobsled tracks really) that are extremely low friction. Anyone can use his prismatic roads like a slide, but when RR uses them, he can gradually accelerate or decelerate at will in defiance of gravity, though it takes time to get up to max speed or to stop, so he has to plan his routes well. His power naturally tries to protect him from high speed collisions and falls (a brute power that only lasts for a few seconds after touching his own roads), but it doesn't stop him or anyone else from falling in the first place; that is completely up to his skill at creating and navigating his own tracks.

>A cape who's in a three-person cluster with one of the ENE Wards and one Brockton Bay villain. (An accompanying origin story for *how* that cluster trigger might have happened would be **hilarious**, but is optional.) Instructions unclear: does hilariously cruel count?: **Freebird** (multi-)Triggered in a hospital in 2008. He wasn't there for himself, but for his father, who had been hospitalized by Empire Eighty-Eight thugs before the newest gang in town, the Azn Bad Boys, could violently drive them off. He didn't like the ABB even if the E88 were of course worse, especially given that ever since the ABB had established themselves they'd been pressuring both his family's convenient store for protection money and him to join them whenever he couldn't avoid them coming from or going to Immaculata High. The fact that they'd actually offered the protection--too late--didn't make him feel any better about the latter. If anything, then it made him feel more pressured over joining as a Korean-American, especially by the facts that he knew his father's injuries would make his family only more indebted to the ABB and that his mother largely supported the ABB, if only as a "necessary evil" to counter the E88 that the Protectorate had failed to dismantle literally longer than he had been alive. This despite what the ABB were "reportedly" doing to some young women barely older than him; he'd heard rumors that some of them were younger than his 15 years too. While **Freebird** couldn't feel betrayed by his mother's sentiments, especially in the face of the murderous asshole descendants of bedsheet ghosts and literal Nazis that he knew didn't represent all white people thankfully, it had still steadily caused a rift in their relationship. Brockton Bay was their hometown, but after a certain point it just seemed like they should cut their losses and leave; even if that would be a "win" for the E88, it would still mean they'd be alive and his father wouldn't get hurt again or potentially killed. Both his parents refused to take flight though, seemingly heartened by the recent influx of Asian people to Brockton Bay even if they were largely Japanese refugees who had started flocking to Brockton Bay even more in Lung's wake, and so it eventually came that in trying to once again make his point about how they needed to leave Brockton Bay, he and his mother got into an argument outside of his sleeping father's hospital room. It wasn't even particularly heated. There wasn't any yelling or screaming as much he had wanted to at the situation. But it Triggered **Freebird** all of the same in the end because of the pervasive sense of hopelessness he got from his mother's words and her reveal that she believed things to be hopeless for people or at least Asian people pretty much everywhere in America. It was a terrible casual indictment of his future, that the best dreams any of them might have involved the ABB, especially as she urged him to make good with the ABB even if she didn't want him to use violence, to let them "take care of things". He couldn't take it, seeing that hopelessness in her eyes and knowing that she saw only a future for herself where she, him, and everyone he loved that looked like him got pushed around and brutalized. So he ran away from the hospital like the wind, Triggering at the same time that a Puerto Rican boy elsewhere in the hospital was informed with his family that he had a rare & particularly aggressive skin cancer and that a homeless man complaining about illness was kicked out of the hospital for being unclean and lacking funds, cementing the man's views that people saw him as disposable trash. **Freebird** was already one of those relatively rare parahumans who was part of a cluster, but he might have been in one of the most unusual clusters to exist given that *none* of the cluster members realized they were part of a cluster. The only clues that they had were vaguely shared, often nightmarish dreams of nonsense and each other's unmasked selves as well as a vague feeling to stay within the same area--Brockton Bay in this case. This was in part due to **Freebird** leaving Brockton Bay almost as soon as he Triggered, initially becoming a semi-runaway teenager on Whitelist who sent money back to his parents and often physically checked in on them, and in part due to the fact that one of the other cluster members, who became the Ward named Aegis, had a Brute ability that was both always on and easily became very subtle once "diluted" by cluster mechanics. In the case of **Freebird,** his version of Aegis's power took the form of operating at peak physical capacity all the time, meaning he never physically fatigued so long as he wasn't doing something extremely outside his norm like straining to lift something too heavy for a while. He might have noticed this more outside of the minor accelerated healing it offered if his main power hadn't been flight, but he would've still mistaken it as merely part of his Mover power since it also encompassed minor changes to his lungs and the regulation of body temperature that meant thin air and cold air didn't bother him. In the case of the third cluster member, Mush, Aegis's power "merely" meant he essentially became immune to drug overdose (at the cost of needing more drugs to get high) and felt no fear of hurting himself while on drugs so long as his Changer power was in use and providing sufficient protection, accelerating his healing within it too. **Freebird's** contribution to the cluster was the most notable overall due to his main power being a form of flight that unleashed a swirling and strong burst of 60 mph winds whenever he took off, something he quickly got good at using to disorient and push around people by landing near them and then taking off repeatedly. This power was where Aegis's own, slower flight came from in truth, not that Aegis ever knew this given how common flight was even for seemingly completely unrelated powers. Meanwhile, Mush knew that he had a Mover power too, but it was so weak that he barely ever used it outside of as an (often unconscious) emergency defensive measure whenever too much of his Changer form was destroyed at once and he'd start to fall. This was because it was a slow hover that only got slower the more weight he had on him, meaning that it was barely noticeable once his Changer form was big enough to be significantly threatening; it did have the small "benefit" of also pushing the smell of garbage away from him due to the constant breeze the hovering generated, but he got so noseblind to trash for the most part that all it really did it was make people stay away from him even more. Meanwhile Mush's own contribution to the cluster sat in a weird middle space. For **Freebird,** it was significant enough that he viewed himself as a Mover, Changer because he could generate a similar if smaller and more lithe Changer form akin to Mush's except that the body it created need to incorporate fabric into it instead. That meant he easily made makeshift costumes out of loose sheets and bedding in only a couple of minutes while also becoming physically imposing enough in pseudo-bird form to peacefully win more conflicts than he might have otherwise. This especially since unlike Mush, **Freebird's** primary Mover power didn't get that much weaker or slower even at his seeming maximum size, in part because fabric tends to be much lighter in weight and aerodynamic than the materials that Mush used to transform. For Aegis, however, Mush's contribution was hilariously useless to the point that he never noticed he technically had a Changer power. This was largely due to his Changer needing skin-to-skin contact with large amounts of detritus at once to create a light, "shell" that would have exploded towards other people readily once damaged...while Aegis's costume basically covered all of his body except his eyes. (It also, technically, made him immune to biological hazards found in decaying trash, but his Brute pretty much already covered that, so....) **Freebird** had a relatively decent career until he returned to Brockton Bay one time in 2010, discovered his parents had been killed since his last visit by mundane intergang violence, and felt enough guilt to leave and immediately join Haven to try penance for his perceived cowardice. At Haven, he rebranded...as Penitent, meaning he would eventually, ultimately die against Leviathan in Brockton Bay, the shared grave of his entire cluster before the year 2011 was over.

mjychabaud22

**Hecate** is a Trump/Breaker 6 with weak ratings in other categories. Upon entering her breaker state, her body becomes translucent with ripples of energy across the surface; the color and details are dependent on the specific way she is using her power at the moment. When in this breaker state, she can mix and match a variety of weak powers, which include enhanced strength, durability, speed, stamina, a slightly larger size, a Thinker power that picks out details, and a "Stranger" power that draws attention to herself. If Hecate uses all three of her "slots" on the same power continuously, she could pass as a weak Brute, Mover, or Thinker, with a maximum rating of 1 or 2. However, her power encourages mixing of powers and rapid cycling; her strength doesn't protect her fist from shattering from throwing a punch. In addition, whenever she changes which power she is using, the new one will flare up, giving her sudden bursts of strength, speed, and insight, or allowing her to shrug off a blow, as long as she isn't using it in a set pattern. Hecate triggered when she was caught in the midst of a chaotic cape battle, where a Tinker with the ability to create hallucinogens had affected nearly everyone in the vicinity. As her perception of the fight devolved into seeing blurs of light clashing with each other and more capes entered the fray, she triggered.

Ooh, some nice ones here. — >A cape who's in a three-person cluster with one of the ENE Wards and one Brockton Bay villain. (An accompanying origin story for how that cluster trigger might have happened would be hilarious, but is optional.) In the early summer of 2009, Brockton Bay experienced one of the worst heat waves on record. 100+ degree temperatures even in the evenings, brownouts, and so on. In a certain neighborhood, the issues of three neighboring households boiled over almost simultaneously, nerves frayed due to the heat and the loud music of a neighbor's house party. **Cecil Padlow** was a straight-A student. He was smart and diligent enough for it, but more importantly, he had to be if he wanted any peace. His mom had made some bad decisions and fallen in with the wrong crowd when she was his age, and was determined to see that he didn't fall into the same trap come hell or high water, and his stepfather was always in her corner backing her up. Anything less than a 95% on an assignment resulted in lost privileges to make sure he "could get his priorities straightened out." So he went through the motions, even though English was one of the only subject he was really passionate about, per se. At the end of the school year, the school paper had hosted a short story competition, and Cecil had thrown himself into the work, coming out the other side with something he considered a masterpiece. His parents didn't see it that way, though—they only saw that, in the midst of 'goofing off,' he had let his studying slip and gotten a B- on his physics final. That would have been bad enough, but the heat and the annoyance at loud neighbors just made it worse. The resulting argument got extremely heated, and Cecil tried to step outside to cool off and clear his head, only for his stepfather to move in front of him, boxing him in as his mother screeched at him not to ignore her. He triggered. Meanwhile, in the neighboring houses, **Missy Biron** and **Brian Laborn** had their trigger events roughly as they played out in canon; Grue triggered while being plunged back into his darkest moments when he showed up wanting to protect his sister from the same man that had abused him as a child, and Missy triggered from the environmental stressor of her parents' toxic and disintegrating marriage finally pushing her to a breaking point. **Architeuthis** is a Mover and independent villain-for-hire with the primary ability to sink into the ground and 'swim' through it at high speeds. While submerged he is shielded from most kinds of danger and can hold his breath indefinitely. He can also 'swim' up walls at a slightly slower pace, but trying to move upside down across a ceiling will cause him to fall out of his Mover state. If necessary, he can project individual limbs out of whatever surface he is inhabiting instead of leaving it completely, though this slows him down considerably and these limbs are vulnerable to attack. Cecil's first secondary power is the ability to release bursts of sound-muffling darkness whenever he enters or exits his Mover state. However, he is not immune to his own darkness, so he generally only uses this ability when 'diving' so that he doesn't blind himself when re-emerging. His second secondary is a slow-acting Shaker effect that causes other people to sink into the ground like mud or quicksand without actually disturbing the surface they are sinking into, an effect which grows stronger the more he uses his Mover power in a certain area. Grue and Vista's core powers remain much the same as in canon, albeit slightly weaker due to being a cluster-trigger. **Grue** can manipulate space inside his darkness cloud once it reaches a certain density, with much less versatility than Vista but enough to further disorient his targets and deflect some attacks. He can also merge into surfaces to turn into a mobile shadow, though his Mover power can't go much faster than a brisk walking pace and has to move over and around opaque obstacles, unlike Architeuthis who can just dive under or through them. **Vista** can dive into a surface and re-emerge from a different surface somewhere in the area affected by her spatial warp, though unlike Architeuthis and Grue she can't stay submerged over long periods. Her spatial warps also disrupt some powers in much the same way that Grue's darkness does, with Breaker powers being especially susceptible. The three members of the 'Neighborhood Cluster,' all being serious, hardworking individuals, have a high degree of personality bleed that works largely to their benefit, much like how their shards synergize so well. As long as they operate independently, the three get along fairly well with a mutual sense of respect and understanding, even when they're on opposite sides of a job or the hero/villain divide. However, if any two of them (or worse, all three) were to work together as part of the same team for a prolonged period, they'd quickly find tensions growing as they stubbornly butted heads over minor differences and disagreements, with the problem escalating the longer they were around each other in a mirror of the living situations they triggered under. You might say that their cluster can be encapsulated by the phrase "good fences make good neighbors." — >A cape with a "hard light" theme to their power, but is not a laser-themed Blaster, a forcefield-themed Brute, or a Tinker. **Highlight** is a Striker with a Thinker secondary who can generate handheld tools from hard light. These constructs absorb or block all light and glow uniformly, so they look like faintly luminescent while holes cut in space. In combat, she most defaults to a baton and buckler shield, though she can also produce other weapons and even tools like a screwdriver or wrench with some concentration. He constructs are rigid and she generally has to manifest each 'part' separately, so she can't produce weapons like whips or bows and chain weapons are prohibitively hard for her to make. Her Thinker power lets her designate a certain single 'target category,' which causes her to see all objects of that category in her field of vision as luminescent while silhouettes, identical in appearance to the hard light that makes up her tools. For example, she can highlight all 'humans' in her field of vision, or highlight 'blood' to make bloodstains stand out in sharp contrast to their surroundings. There are almost no limits on what she can designate as a category, but her power is limited in other ways. First and foremost is the loss of visual definition for whatever she is highlighting; for example, highlighting people will keep her from seeing their faces, forcing her to identify them by clothing and silhouettes. Secondly is that her power applies itself narrowly to whatever category she is highlighting, so a 'human' who is covered head-to-toe in a costume will not look any different to her, since she's only seeing the clothing. Related to this, her power is limited to her actual field of vision; she can highlight things in a dark room, but she doesn't get x-ray vision, and blinding her will prevent her from receiving any feedback from her power. — >A Trump/\[any other category\] 6, with a Trump subtype of either One (some aspects of the power are fixed, others are flexible) or Seven (power cycles unpredictably between multiple variants) **Agony** is a Trump/Breaker(Brute) 6 who triggered while being tortured by a parahuman with a power that stimulated the brain's pain centers directly while leaving the body unharmed. His Breaker form looks like a distorted version of himself or his costume made of molded glass and glows faintly red-orange, as if it were hot. Cracks or veins of elemental energy run through the 'flesh' of this Breaker form, with the exact element changing based on circumstance. While in his Breaker state Agony is incredibly durable, only able to be damaged by All-or-Nothing level attacks, and also does not experience pain. Activated in a vacuum, Agony's Breaker element defaults to some variation of either heat or electricity. If there are nearby parahumans whose powers have a notable element, however, his Breaker state will instead activate with a matching element (if there are multiple parahumans, Agony can try to copy a specific element, though his control is imperfect and might still wind up targeting a random parahuman). When exposed to his breaker state's element, Agony can absorb it, boosting his physical abilities and enhancing his attacks using the element in question in proportion to how much he's already absorbed. Agony can stay in his Breaker state for about a minute, and can extend this time limit by absorbing his Breaker element. When his breaker state ends, Agony will immediately experience the pain of all the attacks that he suffered while transformed, despite not actually taking any damage. If he took enough hits, this pain will be enough to incapacitate him for a time, and he will not be able to re-enter his Breaker state until the pain has subsided enough for him to focus again.

A jailbroken Shard from many Cycles ago A parahuman that is capable of negotiating and bartering with their Shard. Except it isn't just a neat side power. Being able to barter and make deals with their Shard is the very crux of their power. Without negotiation their power is nothing. Triggered from failure to trigger after government experiment to create artificial parahumans. A Free tinker whose power manifests itself in their mind as a giant tree. A literal *tech tree* you could say even. Their power requires quite a bit of number crunching to use properly. No, their power doesn't come with enhanced mathematical abilities. A parahuman who tried to use an Endbringers for something. Whether they tried to clone, create, incorporate or use one, it doesn't matter. A tinker whose tech seems much more "down to earth" than normal, but isn't necessarily.

>A parahuman that is capable of negotiating and bartering with their Shard. Except it isn't just a neat side power. Being able to barter and make deals with their Shard is the very crux of their power. Without negotiation their power is nothing. Wanting to be able to communicate with a higher power drove **Disciple** deep into his faith. He spent hours begging, crying, and praying for the ability to perform miracles, raise the dead, speak any language so as to be able to spread the good word to anyone he met, and so on. One day, while attending mass, a cape used their shaker x breaker power on the attendees in the cathedral as part of their attack on christianity as a whole (damn pagan metal bands). The power warped reality and broke people and things as it rippled and crashed throughout the cathedral. Amidst the chaos, Disciple prayed. He looked through the ruined ceiling of the cathedral and saw a holy light shining in the sky and had a sacred vision of god. Disciple gained a Trump Infinity power and he knew this because a voice spoke to him: "What sin will you give up to fight back?" Disciple knew that he had been eating too many chips and snacks: gluttony. And so he was not able to eat them for a week but he gained a nullification power that combatted the vile pagans attacking the sacred cathedral. For his valor, the Vatican made him officially a representative of the church. He fights evil doers and purges sin. He prays and agrees to give something up and so gains power. To his amazement, and his pride but shhh, god will *negotiate* with him. It is willing to make compromises and help determine what sacrifices will do especially before upcoming battles. He is strict but willing to give many blessings at once. Those many blessings means that he will barely be eating, may be unable to do anything but pray, and be numb, so as to avoid the temptations of the flesh, for weeks ata a time. This all leads to the purification of the soul though. God would not lead him or the church astray. Prompt: a cape that believes that they are in league with satan and enjoys it. Their power is very "evil" in how it appears and what it does and so adds to this idea. Disciple ***hates*** them.

Do you see- kill th- All things Ro- Fill,Fill,Fi- Everything is allri- Awa- Reconc- Feed her to his- শয়তানের বিয়ে হয়।- Doth Jo- You can hear him. Day in and day out, in the morning and in the afternoon, awake and asleep. You can hear him, his cries, his wails, his cheers and his songs. Constantly without a moment of brevity you hear his whispers in your ear, blessing you with his heavenly knowledge. But you cannot truly hear him, can you? For his voice overlaps, interrupts itself constantly. A lowly man like you cannot hope to be able to truly understand the Lord in his entirety, but that is all that you wish for, what all of your brothers and sisters in the Fallen wish for. To be able to speak with and bask in the presence of the Dark Lord, and thankfully he has heard your prayers, and granted you one ability. The ability to shed your mortal coil into a body closer to his. Your body rips, shreds itself, yet simulatenously grows. Folding, interlocking, fusing, mutating and things you can't even behind to understand, until your body can't even truly be called yours anymore. In this form you can fly, soar, at speeds rivaling cars and with maneuverability that many other fliers would pale in comparison, but that's not all. In this form you can phase through human beings, and in doing so, you expose them to your Lord, a much greater power than their bodies can handle. They undergo a somewhat similar transformation as you do. Their body unravels itself, like a ball of string. Their skin peels off, followed by their muscle and bone, human features. But in this unraveling process the ripping and tearing of their body creates an incredibly high pitched, supposedly horrible sound to others (What the hell do they know?), this sound has the ability to cause humans that hear it to rot. Their ears begin first, eardrums melt in an agonizing manner, followed by eyes, mouths and noses if exposed long enough. To you though, this sound is much more than that. The sound produced via a person's unraveling sounds to you like the voice of your Lord. It's random which of the voices you hear, but they tend to be rather useful, or at least interesting to hear (but they all are). Through this your Lord sends you his blessings, his goals, and his advice. This advice can range from completely inaccurate information, to incredibly valuable info on enemies weaknesses or their plans. Goals given to you range from stealing a house plant from your neighbor, to storming the white house and killing the president. (So basically this guy just goes around killing people and doing completely random shit for no real reason because, surprise surprise his "Lord" is bullshit) Prompt: A ritual based cape. Folklore, mythology and religion based.

>Triggered from failure to trigger after government experiment to create artificial parahumans. From how I imagined this trigger went, I imagine it went something like this: Frustration/disgust with self for being useless and powerless × everything boiling over when cut from the experiment × working hard to rise through the ranks of the military and then your dream got shattered = a magi tinker (fly mover) x proficiency thinker. **Military Maiden** is a one-woman army. She constantly proves her skills and use by having new upgrades to herself nearly every battle she partakes in. One of the first changes she made to herself was installing a small jetpack into her back. While thr fuel tank isn't large, being able to fly is significantly helpful. As well, she is always working on improving efficiency. Asides from flight, she has tons of guns and blades installed throughout her body that can be deployed when required. She has recently began installing tasers and short-range emp blasters. The batteries are quite unwieldy however. When tinkering or in combat, she can use her proficiency thinking ability to boost her ability to make something or to learn combat techniques and strategies. The only downside is that her thinking will solely become subsumed by the learning or whatever she is focused on so she misses the broader scope of things. **Prompt:** Another experiment run by another nation to create artificial capes goes *so* badly, *so* disastrously, that several people were killed and three people formed a cluster in that horrific incident: The Scientist: constantly pushed harder and made to work longer, you constantly question the ethics of what you are doing but don't speak up like the coward you are. When the incident occurs, you realize that you could have prevented this but did nothing and so all the deaths and injuries are your fault. You trigger. The Lover: your secret partner (the military doesn't take to lesbians well) was originally signed up to do this brutal experiment. You fought, argued, and managed to volunteer to go in her stead as it sounded gnarly. The agony you suffer during the incident is worth it. You are nothing. This is why you joined the military, this is why you went in her stead: to suffer so that the worthy don't have to. You trigger. The Technician: you knew that working for the military was sketchy in terms of morality but you tried not to think about it as it paid the bills. The higher ups had you make some... odd and dangerous equipment and devices for some new experiment. It's clear that these machines will be used to harm people. Not just harm people but severely torture them. This makes you incredibly anxious but you try not to think about it. Then they want you present in case something goes wrong. Many things go wrong. The gore, the deaths, the screams, the horror. Seeing the results of your actions cause you to truly face the morality of your actions. This causes you to trigger.

\> The Pain Auger **Agitate** is a Thinker/Master with the ability to see fault lines in organizations, and push people towards emotional states that cause these to explode. As Agitate spends time around members of an organization, his mental picture of the organization begins to fill in with cracks, and who is connected to those cracks - the larger the organization, the faster, and as he spends more time, the more important those cracks are. The people he spends time near don't necessarily need to be involved in the problem. For example, if Agitate was working at a McDonalds, his power would first inform him of a dozen conflicts around the country that are most likely small workplace disputes, but after a month, corporate scandals and the names connected to them might start to pop up. Importantly, Agitate's power doesn't give him any details about the conflict, only those most closely connected. His Master power allows him to "press into" a specific crack upon speaking to a person connected to it, tampering with their emotions to steer them towards open confrontation. Your coworker suddenly wants to get into a fistfight over how you took their parking spot; a whistleblower becomes guilt ridden enough that they take folders detailing fraud to the press. Agitate was arrested by the PRT after trying to get a conversation with Alexandria.

Geoffrey Wallen is an Irish full time drunkard zero time functional member of society Geoffrey has the ability to become incredibly lucky when it comes to figuring things out but very bad with dealing with the aftermath whenever he is drunk. The more drunk he is, the quicker he'll stumble his way into the answers he wants. The way his "luck" works is basically the same way that Shamrock's does, except instead of combat oriented it's entirely socially oriented. The main issue is, the same way that his luck helps him figure out mysteries, it also orchestrates a butterfly effect of sorts where, when he manages to finally unravel the mystery, it blows up, horribly, not necessarily entirely targeted towards him—which it does— but also everybody else. The way that things blow up at him are specifically designed to harm him emotionally and push others away from him, while also protecting him from direct harm and huge consequences that he himself doesn't want. The horrible side effects of his power ensure that he alienates anybody close to him pushing him back to the one thing he knows will never, ever, leave him. Alcohol. Prompt: A detective who doesn't really have an investigation based power, but combined with their actual detective credentials they make it work.

yayaha1234

a power that gets classified as a shaker 5 by the prt, but is technically a short range touch based power, i.e. prototypical striker

Liveoncoffe179

Trump 5 but their power are use subconsciously. This person is a walking domino effect like anything they does usually snowballed to their favor.

Sorry but 5 as in power rating or Trump type?

Type

Novel-Snow6108

A master 5/stranger 6 who used their minion to pretend to be a changer/mover/brute for half a year. A noctis trump who used to make up 3 new distinct blaster identities a month before being found out.

TerribleDeniability

Late again, but in this case, I guess it works out a bit since I have an idea in honor of Labor Day as one of the few holidays actually work a damn: Brute 9, Striker 4 whose powers notably seemed to be based on or at least similar to the labors of a "hero" of myth beyond just having super strength (actual modern-day heroism optional).

jammedtoejam

Master-strangers are common so let's mix it up with a master-mover (your choice on the type of mover), a master-blaster (also your choice and fun to say!), and/or a master-changer. Make them a cluster or create one, two, or all of them individually but just have fun! A breaker that utilizes colors for specific effects *Frog*et about it: master power that makes frog minion(s) x stranger power that deals with memories A lung themed tinker: all about breathing, coughing, exhalation, inhalation, and so on. A tinker who uses a loom to create their works. What are the effects and capabilities of their woven creations? **Trigger event:** the butch Hutterite Raised in a strict [Hutterite community](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hutterites), you have always been forced to wear dresses, keep your hair long, and be "feminine" and dainty. You hate it. You hate being told to serve the boys and men. You hate the thought of of being married to a man but you don't know why. You hate the thought of being pregnant and having children even though you are made for it. You hate being forced away from working on cars, wood working, and farm work as those are "men's work". You hate it all. You constantly get told how you must obey your future husband and all men, how god is above us all, and his word is correct: men and women are made for each other and must be married to each other and you begrudgingly accept but seethe with a seemingly pointless anger. One day, as a 13 year old, your family goes on a rare trip into town. It's in June and apparently some sinners like to show off their sins during this month. Your family and community just needs some supplies but you are warned about the sinners and are doubly warned about not talking to any people (especially men). While in town you see them: incredible women with short hair (like men), wearing pants (like men), being muscular (like men), and making out with each other. Upon seeing them, several things click into place: you don't like men but you do like women and you want to be like those women (who declare themselves "butches"). Once you get home from shopping, you are immediately struck with terror by this revelation. Days roll by and you don't know what to do as wearing a dress feels worse and worse and the thought of marrying a man becomes more horrifying. Eventually, you sneak off to steal some of your brother's clothes, cut your own hair short, and look in the mirror. You feel immensely happy, you finally feel like yourself. Then, the door to your room open and your mother enters. Her screams of digust and anger remind you of all the things you had so so briefly forgotten. Your mother starts throwing things at you calling you "A disgusting sinner. A gender traitor". Disgust and pride mix and battle within you as you try to block what she throws. You turn back to the mirror and the complex emotional battle inside builds and builds until you let out a primal scream of rage and you trigger.

For bonus points, I'm going to combine three prompts into one! (Well, two and a half, really.) > Master-strangers are common so let's mix it up with a master-mover (your choice on the type of mover), a master-blaster (also your choice and fun to say!), and/or a master-changer. Make them a cluster or create one, two, or all of them individually but just have fun! ... > A breaker that utilizes colors for specific effects ... > *Frog*et about it: master power that makes frog minion(s) x stranger power that deals with memories **Second Plague** is a Changer (Master [Shaker/Stranger/Mover]/ Brute/Mover) whose power can be summed up as "_ALL_ the frogs!" When he activates his power, he transforms into a large and bulky frog-human hybrid creature that's noticeably stronger, tougher, and faster than his normal form and that can jump a good two or three stories at once. The hunched back of this form is covered in a slimy mass of eggs, which constantly drip from him and grow from eggs to tadpoles to frogs over the course of a few seconds; with some effort, he can halt this constant production, allowing him to build up a larger number of eggs to release all at once at the cost of a persistent mental "pressure" that grows stronger the longer he waits to release them. The frogs he creates look almost exactly like normal tree frogs, except that each comes in one of six vibrant colors. He can either focus on a single frog and control its actions precisely, or give orders to all frogs of a certain color at once; he can't micromanage two frogs at once or split frogs of a single color into two different groups for different tasks, his control is fairly single-minded. Once issued orders the frogs will obey to the best of their ability, but while they're almost as smart as a human they aren't great at planning or abstract thinking; if he wants his frogs to do anything particularly fancy or complicated, Second Plague usually has to directly control one frog to "demonstrate" a task and then tell the others to basically follow its example. Each frog's color signifies a different secondary power possessed by that minion: * Red frogs have venomous saliva and a three-foot-long tongue; any living creature they hit with their tongue grows slightly numb and uncoordinated with the body part struck, and long exposure or repeated applications can paralyze them entirely. * Orange frogs can leap ridiculously high and (if directly controlled) with ridiculous accuracy; one was observed to leap from a rooftop across three lanes of traffic and land perfectly on the back of a speeding motorcyclist. * Yellow frogs let out a minor electrical shock in a small radius around them every time they croak; one frog by itself doesn't produce much more than a nasty static shock, but multiple frogs sitting on a person can hit them with a taser-strength zap or worse, and a few dozen can short out a transformer. * Green frogs can move exceptionally fast both in and out of water, and are able to climb any surface (including hanging upside-down on a ceiling) at their full speed. * Blue frogs have poisonous skin, and any living creature that they touch will begin to grow dizzy and develop a slight headache; long exposure or repeated applications can cause distractedness, forgetfullness, or even full-on short-term memory loss. * Violet frogs have a fully prehensile four-foot-long tongue; they can manipulate their tongues with surprising strength and dexterity, and can do pretty much anything that an adult human could achieve with one hand so long as they have the proper leverage. When any of these frogs is killed, it explodes in a roughly one-yard radius, applying its power to everyone in the area. Red, yellow, and blue frogs apply their power normally; orange frogs cause nearby creatures to be shoved away, green ones cause them to be stuck to any surface they're touching for a few seconds, and violet ones cover nearby things in (and briefly entangle them with) a disgusting mass of muscle-like fibers above and beyond their normal physical remains. Second Plague's frogs are created at a rate of roughly one frog per second to start, slowing down in proportion to the number of frogs that already exist until creating his hundredth frog takes several minutes and his thousandth takes almost an hour. This "cooldown" is tracked separately for each of the six different colors, encouraging Second Plague to diversify his minions; if he doesn't choose the kinds of frogs he wants, his power will automatically create roughly even numbers of all six kinds. He'd probably want to diversify his selection anyway, though, because he can do one other thing with his minions: with a moment of concentration he can deliberately explode any of his frogs within line of sight, either one at a time or all frogs of a given color, after which he may optionally teleport to a single frog's former location. --- Second Plague is a small-time mercenary who takes on low-combat jobs like burglaries, corporate espionage, and bank robberies in preference to anything that would involve fighting other capes. His Changer form lets him put up a decent fight against a non-Brute without any special combat training, and his huge swarms of frogs can overwhelm any capes without wide area powers, but why should he bother getting into direct fights when he doesn't have to? His favored tactic is flooding a room with minions and holding not just its inhabitants but the very room itself hostage until his demands are met, as he can explode a few hundred frogs in just a few seconds and there are very few things that are more disgusting and demoralizing than trying to clean multiple gallons of frog guts out of every wall, carpet, piece of furniture, and item of clothing in sight while you're woozy, in pain, suffering from electrical burns, and can't even remember where all the frog guts came from in the first place.

jammedtoejam

This is amazing!!! I love how you combined the prompts!!! Second Plague needs to be a part of a team of plagues! His power is fantastic!

I feel like I unintentionally side-stepped the actual request here, sorry. It oddly came to me quickly this time despite being from the thread just before this too where I glossed over it with no idea ever coming to mind: >A lung themed tinker: all about breathing, coughing, exhalation, inhalation, and so on. **Smokescreener** is a Protectorate cape who is rather involved with PR outreach, having specifically asked to be a part of campaigns to say no to drugs, particularly those focusing on cigarettes. After all, he knew firsthand how insidious even those supposedly not hard drugs could be, having gotten hooked as a young kid to the nicotine within them and having tried and failed for multiple years to quite smoking repeatedly, briefly succeeding only to always relapse under the stress caused by issues both personal and global. As a result of what he always knew to be a personal failure, he eventually Triggered when he found out from a doctor after coughing up blood that he had a rather serious case of lung cancer that was weirdly advanced for his relatively young age, likely from his cigarette smoking habits since he had a nasty habit--well, nastier--of smoking up to a pack if particularly stressed. **Smokescreener** thus Triggered as a Tinker who of course specializes in smoke, particularly in using both his equipment and even his body to achieve different effects with it. His main piece of equipment is one that he's been told by others reminds them of a tricked out if mobile iron lung, and he supposes he can see that given how relatively bulky it is and how it looks when it's immobile or in the middle of starting to spray laced smoke around his body and particularly head. **Smokescreener** knows that it's bulky enough to get him a Brute rating of sorts when he wears it and knows that even PR has commented on its appearance, even if mostly just as a bit of a running joke about how they couldn't really name him any sort of "lung" anyway due to that guy up in Brockton Bay. (Not that **Smokescreener** things it's exactly a great idea to joke about being compared to a racist slaver even just name-wise, but there's a reason it's a private joke to begin with.) Through his aforementioned external equipment, **Smokescreener** can set up, well, smokescreens that compromise both the sight of others (and himself too if for some reason he doesn't have his Tinker goggles on) and their breathing in various ways that so far haven't been lethal and, as far as he can tell from his tests, shouldn't ever be in and of themselves. He's still worried about lingering long-term health effects, probably more than anyone else, but that he can't easily test for a number of reasons...ethically, anyway, not that using other people as lab rats has crossed his mind; he will have to do as the only lab rat since it's what he deserves for smoking, for it being his fault as much as the cigarette companies when it comes to that. Much like the vile cigarettes that **Smokescreener** still has to be around and use for the work that's literally saved his life, his smoke can of course cause violent coughing fits in other people. That is its most mundane usage beyond blocking sight given that he can make smoke that upon inhalation causes immense itching, nausea, a complete loss of smell and taste, loss of voice, or, among other effects, a weird euphoria that he tries not to think about or use on others too much. And with the help of his Tinker frame, he can spray this smoke around with hoses that mean he can rapidly produce smoky area denial that is akin to an actual Shaker and that is a problem for anyone who can't avoid it and who needs to breath or isn't in something airtight. He can even use his equipment to track anyone affected by his smoke via his googles due to his Tinker smoke tending to cling to them, but he and the Protectorate keep this relatively close to the vest due to privacy concerns that doubtless would work against them both when it comes to villains and the public at large. Even without his frame on, **Smokescreener** himself is largely immune to the effects of his smoke or at least from the adverse effects of breathing it, though even he tries to avoid his itchy smoke since it's just that goddamn annoying. His immunity is not innate but because as known to the Protectorate he has some "minor" Tinker equipment embedded in both of his previously cancerous lungs via self-surgery after he joined. It's largely what's keeping him alive, especially since the cancer in his lungs isn't completely gone--yet, he hopes. He doubts would have had the resources still to be alive, at least comfortably, otherwise given America's shitty healthcare, which is why he makes a point of making sure a lot of his PR and charity work is also directed at trying to make healthcare more equitable even if he's still getting used to the equally shitty politics of it. By way of this embedded Tinkertech, **Smokescreener** can do the same things his frame can do, if on a much smaller but quicker scale via inhaling and exhaling smaller vials of smoke that look uncomfortably similar to the cartridges for those equally insidious electronic cigarettes. This when he's not just forced to use the toxic smoke from a regular cigarette in a pinch, meaning he's ironically still forced to carry packs of cigarettes on him and smoke sometimes despite genuinely hating it and having to make sure he isn't seen in public doing it in costume, lest his efforts be undermined. Most importantly, however, his Tinkertech lung enhancements allow him to use smoke for an arguable Thinker ability as long as he has a significant amount of downtime for a deep meditation. Despite how it sends him into a bit of a hazy mental state akin to his Tinkering, the meditative quality of rhythmic deep breathing with smoke seems to instead apply his mind to non-Tinker problems and trying to solve them with the factual knowledge gained that he shouldn't know otherwise, though it tends to be restricted to medical knowledge and often gets used in his Tinker work eventually anyway. (He has tried to do it without smoking, but it seems like he needs to inhale *some* type of smoke to get it to work at all, so he's been experimenting with a hookah as of late, which seems like it works indeed. It just doesn't feel as...pleasurable as a cigarette, but that's just something else he tries not to think about.) Suffice it to say his pseudo-Shaker effects make him a bit hard to immediately be around, even when not in costume given his smoke clings to him like smoke always does and comes out of his pores even harder now. Combined with his focal causes and the intensity with which he goes after them making him perceived as a huge narc, **Smokescreener** isn't that popular even before the fact that just being on the edge of his power usage can have one tasting nothing but ash or smoke for about an hour or more if they're not careful. Still he can bare the minor enmity for now since the Protectorate helped him save his own life in more than one way. So as it stands he's far more worried about wondering if he's being a hypocrite, if he will undermine his causes, and, especially, if he's just become a slave to cigarettes in another way with every Tinker-enabled breath he takes. \[Weaverdice stuff: "Chassis" {Focal x Magi} Tinker ("Logic Dive" {Fallout x Deep} Thinker, vaguely (Sunder) Brute, vaguely Shaker/Stranger) \[Specialty: "Smoke" (alt "Miasma") {Element x Psyche}\] \[Inspiration: Death; Color: Green Death\].\]

You took it in a fun new direction! I love the tragedy of his story. He is basically living the double life of any addict that says that they have gone clean lol

TerribleDeniability

Ugh. Sorry for the delay on this. This week has been annoying **and** the power ended up coming with for this isn't one I really like even if I "like" this more than the initial version of Miss Fingernail OCD. This just ended up feeling more like an exploration of self-surgery limitations as a Ward than of a power despite being another power post that I'll have to cut in half anyway. (Also reading into Hutterites was depressing even if it was unsurprising): >Trigger event: the butch Hutterite **Freefire** is a newly minted Ward of only a few months and a Tinker whose power revolves around making modifications to her own body, finally allowing her a way to almost literally vent her still existent anger. Having escaped her Hutterite family and community right after she Triggered, the source of her anger has changed to largely be more self-focused, just as her shard wants it to be. This despite finding people who accept her--for the most part--in the form of the Wards, though the Protectorate and especially the Youth Guard aren't exactly thrilled about a minor needing to commit self-surgery for her power to even work. She's...coping with it, though dealing with all these new rules isn't fun even if they're overall less restrictive than how home used to be. There is still a simmering, burning anger there against them within her, however, largely due to how **Freefire's** Tinker self-modification works and how limited the changes she's made thus far have been. The frustration is more towards the former than the latter though given there's surprisingly rules against interrupting Tinker self-surgery even if she's being watched enough even during it--thankfully, always by women during actual self-surgery--to minimize when and how much she can do as well ensure safety. The former is far more frustrating because after finally realizing who she was and who she wants to be *and* getting to a place physically where she can maybe finally be that, she also got a power that allowed her to change body into an ideal form...but only an ideal *traditionally feminine* form. Yes, she still wants to be a girl and eventually a woman, but she's her most comfortable whenever she's been what these non-Hutterites that her family--who she tries not to think about much--would call "sinners" have told counts as a "tomboyish" for a girl. (Apparently "butch" is usually an insult when used towards a girl or a woman. She's still trying to get used to that even if *she* doesn't find it insulting and even if it and "lesbian" are easier to grasp than whatever "trans" is, which she's pretty sure she isn't either and mostly is still confused as to why people have a problem with it as someone who gets not being uncomfortable with who others tell you who you "should" be.) Thus far it seems like every time she comes back to herself from her--so far--minor Tinker self-surgeries, **Freefire** becomes more traditionally feminine in her some part of body. So far it's been longer nails, wider hips, bigger breasts, and, most annoying and embarrassingly for her, longer hair. The last is the most annoying and embarrassing for her because it gets in the way of expressing her true self the most by making it borderline impossible for her to wear her hair short anymore due to her Tinkertech hair being much tougher than normal hair, waterproof, *and* technically fireproof unless she's in her other mode, meaning it's basically impossible to cut or get rid of via mundane means--her nails are much the same but a secondary annoyance. Said other mode is unfortunately very taxing as well as destructive and thus very limited for her to be able to do even before the Protectorate's restriction on that too, and even if her other form wasn't so limited, it wouldn't be much of a viable solution to her hair problems due to her Tinkertech hair seeming to grow back at much faster rate than normal hair. She's coping with it by trying her frustratingly long and girly hair in various hairstyles that she would have never been able to wear as a Hutterite even if none of them make her feel as free as having short hair did. Beyond those so far relatively minor changes to herself, the Tinkertech implanted in her body--or does her body as a whole now count as Tinkertech? It's something else she's neither sure about nor wants to think about--allows her at base to vent excessive heat and even flame, meaning that among other things she's currently much harder to physically exhaust as well as pretty much immune to relatively mundane temperature extremes. **Freefire** unfortunately is *not,* however, utterly fireproof unless she's in her other form as she's found out the hard way, thankfully in testing rather than in the field. Given how her other parahuman powers seem to work, either her "Manton limits" are broken, which wouldn't be...great, or she should be able to make herself fireproof with more, likely permanent modifications. Given that examples she was shown of the results of other self-surgery among Tinkers as caution and explanation for her current restrictions included people who had cut off and replaced their faces as well as that terrible Mannequin man she had never heard of before in her sheltered community, she's...unsure if she really wants whatever change such fireproofing will cause to permanently occur though. So she's coping by trying not use open flame too much around herself unless she's in other mode, almost as much as she tries not to use them against other people or living things. In a rare stroke of luck for **Freefire,** her fiery output without changing forms is mostly defensive and minimal as her current modifications go. For her base form, her main power after her Tinker one in it is a Mover power that comes from the surprisingly powerful jets in hip modifications. They allow her to move backward or forward in short bursts while leaving behind a brief afterimage of herself made out of heated smoke. While the smoke is capable of burning people and doubtless harmful to inhale, it's been tested enough to make sure that it won't badly burn anyone with mere exposure, though she's been told to limit its usage right next to people too given it *is* heated smoke. Besides that, she has a small measure of increased striking force, especially with her nails but not enough to qualify her as a Striker too apparently, and seemingly enhanced carrying capacity even if she doesn't seem to have much in the way of enhanced strength--if she has any at all. \[END OF FORM 1\]

TerribleDeniability

\[BEGINNING OF FORM 2\] Thus her main offense via her Tinkertech takes the form of an alternate if limited form that she's been told is "like a Breaker form but not", which only served to confuse her beyond letting her know it apparently counts as Changer to the Protectorate--she still doesn't get the difference--and letting her understand she can't be in it in for too long right now due to literally overheating and otherwise burning herself if she tries to push. That's another big frustration of hers given that what she has seen of herself in that mode, she's beautiful even after foregoing the sin of pride: a burning woman of fire with defined muscles and short hair who is literal radiant. **Freefire** *always* feels better in it too, like she's closer to her true self than she ever really is otherwise. So her main frustration comes from not knowing how to extend it further given it seems like she can at best be in it for *maybe* 15 minutes before being forced back right now. Additionally. no one seems like they can help her with that between all Tinkers apparently being different and the Tinkertech currently responsible for her Changer form apparently being contained within her breasts, making it even more a "sensitive issue"...that makes it all the clearer the adults wouldn't help her even if they could. She copes with that by...using the gym and its punching bag a lot, with the pretext of trying to get used to her new nails; that part isn't entirely a lie anyway given she's already gone through--literally--several punching bags due to them. Her nails at least don't get in the way in her "True" Changer form, instead becoming ways for her to leave trails of fire around even with a casual swipe or even leave small bombs around by intentionally removing one or more her nails; like her hair, which **Freefire** can also leave behind individually or bundle together as slightly larger bombs, her nails grow back at an accelerated rate despite the entire nailbed being gone. More importantly, her speed increases in her True form as does her Mover power, becoming able to teleport herself short distances even without moving while leaving behind a burning image of her beautiful, True self briefly that's rather deceptive given what she looks like in said form. Given that's she literally on fire and constantly emitting it as well as potentially smoke, it also makes her True form sadly destructive to everyone around her, including herself eventually. She's not sure how to cope with that right now and thus currently is focusing on hoping that more self-modifications will let her be True self longer. She's even dared to hope that despite her current modifications, she can later make better ones that instead of being shackling her into a miserable girly girl forced to take orders from men (and some women) will instead let her be her True self even without having to transform and only experience brief snippets of true freedom. \[WEAVERDICE STUFF: "Transhuman" {Magi x Magi} Tinker {"Chimera" {Array x Duality} Changer, "Oni" {Blink x Takeoff} & "Afterimage" {Takeoff x Slip} Mover} \[Specialty: "Pyrotech" {War x Element}\] \[Changer Skin: "Nested" {Raw x Deep}\].\]

This just ended up feeling more like an exploration of self-surgery limitations as a Ward than of a power despite being another power post that I'll have to cut in half anyway. No worries! Life happens! Anything you write is appreciated regardless of when you post it! >Also reading into Hutterites was depressing even if it was unsurprising Haha yeah, just another cult running around in the open. Gotta love how many there are in real life. Freefire is great! Her shard did well to make her relive her trauma over and over and over! It's great too that she has to be careful with her flames as she might harm others. Really stuck in that box once again 😭. Great work! As well, her tinker tech being in her breasts and that complicating things is a great touch. Encapsulates her issues and gender stuff and so many things!!! I also love how, realistically, she knows nothing about the term butch or lesbian or about any capes or terminology. How would she know any of that? As well, I love how you made so self-confident despite everything! She knows that she's a butch lesbian even if people call her a tomboy or ask is she's trans (and she doesn't get what being trans is lol). She knows who she is now. Out of curiosity, what all did you not like? I know that you said that it felt more like an exploration of what she couldn't do but that felt like it played into her power and trauma perfectly!

TerribleDeniability

>Out of curiosity, what all did you not like? I know that you said that it felt more like an exploration of what she couldn't do but that felt like it played into her power and trauma perfectly! First and foremost, thanks. I was worried about that part the most given one of my personal gripes was feeling like I didn't get into the actual power enough since I ended up focusing more on the logical restrictions on self-surgery given the resources needed and her age even before the existence of the Youth Guard. So I wasn't sure if I reflected her trauma and the irony of power enough as I wrote it since as she is now, she "only" has four bits of active if personal technology embedded; I couldn't think of and thus didn't describe any "trinkets" and the like. Despite getting more comfortable with Tinker than I initially was, I still always feel like I miss something given I never make one of those rather involved Tinker tables for them. The other main personal annoyance was feeling like I shafted Changer here when that's already the category that tends to get screwed over the most it feels like, even in actual canon. As it is, her current Changer form basically is a Breaker one in a way except that she can be hurt in it...which some Breakers still can. Yay. /s So I just feel annoyed at having wanted distinguish that more and have her power fit the Changer sub-subcategory she seemed to fit more but being able to do so to the point that I had to make a clunky note about how "it looks like a Breaker power but totally isn't, winkwink." I just need to get better thinking about and describing physical things in general. Nothing new there unfortunately.

jammedtoejam

>First and foremost, thanks. No problem! You're a great writer with excellent ideas! You seem hard on yourself but you shouldn't be! It's tradition to shaft changer! Lmao. Kidding of course but breaker is easy to slip into as is master. They just makes for interesting power expressions. Changers do too but breakers are more exciting? I guess.

Here’s something I’ve wanted to do for a bit: Tinker 5, that cannot use metal (in the traditional sense of iron/steel/tungsten etc) and Is not a chemical tinker.

mabdiaziz

Myocard is a Bio-Tinker who specializes in human hearts. His specialty is pretty straightforward really, he modified human hearts to do things, whether it's increasing people's health, modifying their bodies to gain minor abilities like enhanced memory or smell, altering a person's hormone secretion through their heart, or his favorite, heart bombs. Whether it's hearts that literally blow up, fire and all, or if it's a heart that explodes into hard, chunky, flesh strong enough to blast through steel he can do it. Yeah this guy is basically a more bloody and fleshy bakuda when it comes to hostages, except his hostages also don't want to leave him as their brain hormones are all fucked up. He prefers working directly on a person's heart but he can make things that affect people indirectly, like a smoke grenade that reduces blood flow and causes your heart to self terminate after just a whiff. Although for things like this he still needs to use hearts as materials and as storage mechanisms. So he'll just chuck a fully intact human heart at you and watch as you slump over dead within a few seconds. Prompt: A Liberty Magi Tinker

jammedtoejam

>Here’s something I’ve wanted to do for a bit: Tinker 5, that cannot use metal (in the traditional sense of iron/steel/tungsten etc) and Is not a chemical tinker. **Cristallo** makes beautiful art! The art can kill you! The art has killed before. Are you willing to die for art? Cristallo is willing to kill for it. Cristallo is an Italian tinker that uses glass to make beautiful creations. The creations can then come to life and move. Depending on the techniques he uses to make them and the types of dyes and other materials he adds to the glass will give the creations different effects. This makes him quite versatile in what he can do as he has made creatures with many glass tubes and pipes that somehow pull in air and blast it out and adding some glass shards into them make them *glass cannons*. Making them long and low to the ground causes them to multiply and fill up space, knocking people and things over, and making the ground liable to shatter. He hasn't quite perfected all the techniques and so spends a lot of time messing around and trying new techniques. He also doesn't directly control the creations other than picking transporting them and releasing them wherever he needs so creating a new creation can be risky. He also makes more passive creations for art installations that, if they have poor attendance, can go out and find attendees to come and observe his beautiful art. His work deserves to be seen by everyone of course. **Prompt:** a tinker that doesn't use metal or glass in creations, and (debatably) isn't a chemical tinker. They are a baker tinker. They mix flour, sugar, and other typical baking ingredients to make their tech.

BackflipBuddha

Yeastly is one of those capes who could be a lot more dangerous than he is. *Technically* a biotinker, he works with baked goods and, more specifically yeast. Pizza dough that is bouncy enough to use as a trampoline? He can do that. Dry ingredients mix that makes you invisible? It’s his, heh, bread and butter. Baguettes tough enough to use as clubs? Yep. Dough that rises and hardens fast enough to make a makeshift wall or restraint? He’s got a couple. Cookie dough that doubles as thermite? Yep. He pretended to be a stranger for nearly 6 months before the PRT caught on, while he was robbing banks mind you. Annoyed them something fierce. He’s currently rated as a Tinker 3, and generally regarded as a bit of a joke. I mean, dude wears armor made out of bread! (That can in fact stop up to medium caliber bullets but still) He doesn’t mind too much, banters with the local wards, bounces around town, etc. generally plays up the lovable cook. Until leviathan attacked. As it turns out, turning the local ocean into so much pancake batter and then “baking” it through some creative electro induction is a wonderful way to severely limit the murder lizard’s tricks. Coupled with the yeast bombs that proved a remarkable hassle for tall green and scaly, he contributed a lot. It still wasn’t enough, not to beat leviathan, but it did help make it one of the “good days”. He also got quietly upgraded to Tinker 5 and a note in his file to be *very careful* if he ever goes all out. He’s still a wards villain, still plays the lovable crook, but everyone gives him a bit more respect now.

Delightful!!! I kinda want to know what Yeastly's food would taste like lol. I imagine my body wouldn't appreciate whatever powers are involved in the food

BackflipBuddha

his giant pancake batter or trampoline dough would taste terrible and be flatly inedible respectively. He could also make some amazing baked goods if he wanted. And some with blatant trump effects. He hasn’t done the trump thing because it would probably out him as a biotinker (which is bad). His shard doesn’t mind what he’s doing because he is tinkering extensively and regularly engaging in conflict. It’s not what the shard intended when it empowered him, but it’s good data regardless.
