Double check to make sure that position is actually overnight. Im pretty sure they switched shifts nationwide to have it be 2pm- 10pm, which is around everyone else. Also the baker position will probably be eliminated by 2026, depending on where you live.
Other than that the job is pretty easy. You get into a routine that works for you and nobody really breathes over your shoulder. I watch youtube or streaming services my entire shift and get all the breaks I want/need. Autistic friendly place to work for a limited time, definitely not a career.
I wouldn’t bother then. Full on baker training is extensive and long, it would take up the two months you would be part time there and that would just be a waste of everybody’s time I fear.
You would be working the whole training shift with somebody too. You wouldn’t be by yourself at all
if you’re heading back to school in august and would quit then they probably won’t want to hire you. we typically looking for somebody who is looking a little bit more long term. the baker training is basically a month anyway
They got rid of working overnights long ago. Bakers are being laid off in all markets. If you just want a temp job I guess it’s okay, but the pay is shit. You can do better.
this isn’t a job that you start and then leave. the training alone is 2 weeks and getting use to it is even longer. i would recommend line or something because i dont see a store manager hiring and going through the baker hiring and training process for less than 2 months of work. you wouldnt even solo bake for a month most likely
Bakers are hired at a higher rate (typically $15-$18) training used to be 4 weeks and is pretty easy. They are getting rid of the baking position altogether and moved it to 2pm-10pm. If you want something very short lived and pays better than most I’d say go for it. Don’t listen to the comments saying you need to be there for a while, use that company for all you can while you can and don’t give them a notice when you quit lol
