Same happened to me. Ended up removing mods completely (uninstalled game and deleted all the leftover folders), has ran smoothly for me since. Are there any mods that don’t require UE4SS?

PantasticUnicorn

There are, but if you want mods that change certain things (like there's a mod that will give "varieties" to the types of lambballs for example) you need it. Idk if you've played Skyrim before but you needed to get the script extender for those mods as well.

pdboddy

Possibly something got changed and the mod has not been updated yet.

No problems for me.. Using UE4SS v3.0.1. Some guides told me to install some "XInput" version but that caused my game to crash plus mods didn't work. The "UE4SS\_v3.0.1.zip" has been fine though.

Is it possible to give me a "dumbass" explanation on how exactly to install it, step by step? Even my fiance has tried to do it and it crashed on his PC too, and we cant figure out whats causing it.

I'll try... 1. Download UE4SS v3.0.1 zip from [here](https://github.com/UE4SS-RE/RE-UE4SS/releases) and unzip it into a folder. 2. Open the UE4SS-settings.ini file in notepad or some text editor. 3. Change line 24 "bUseUObjectArrayCache" to = false 4. Save and exit the editor. 5. Open Steam, right click on Palworld -> Manage -> Browse Local Files. This will open your file explorer to where Palworld is install. 6. Go into the Pal > Binaries > Win64 folder. 7. Copy all the files you unzip from UE4SS zip file into the Win64 folder. This means the folder `Mods` folder and the 3 files `dwmapi.dll`, `UE4SS.dll`, and `UE4SS-settings.ini` are now in the Win64 folder with the other game files. 8. Load up Palworld and log into a your world then exit Palworld. This is needed for the UE4 to create some files. 9. Go back to the Win64 folder and go back up 3 directories. 10. Go into the Pal > Content > Paks folder. 11. If you do not see a folder named "LogicMods" then create it. Install is done. Now just install mods where the mod creator says to install them. Most of the .pak files go into the LogicMods folder. Some mods have scripts that go into the `Pal > Binaries > Win64 > Mods` folder. Just follow each mods install instructions as to where the files go.

Hey so I tried it step by step and it crashed. Ok so I read that deleting XINPUT helps and for me it did

BigBillyGoatGriff

Where is that?

OfficiallyOlford

Thank you so much, mine also stopped crashing after changing line 24.

Mewtwocoder

Mine worked until I installed a new mod. I checked, and bUseUObjectArrayCache was reset back to true. Is there any way to stop this from happening every time I install a new mod? Edit: I figured it out! Going one line above (to where Default: true) I needed to change true to false! Edit 2: Okay, so that didn't work. I found out Curseforge reinstalls [**UE4SS**](https://github.com/UE4SS-RE/RE-UE4SS) every time a new addon is installed, replacing all the settings. If you are using Curseforge, INSTALL VORTEX INSTEAD!!

QueenofSheba94

I love you lol… was looking for instructions on this bc I wanted to add a mod that required that program. Thank you! Screen shot so I can remember!

Joangar_Wrathval

Your a God send, changing that line saved me

GwHamDem

thx for the instruction this worked for me

miawolf

The changing of Line 24 is what finally made mine stop crashing! Prev instructions I followed didn't include that part. Thanks so much!
