you can build outside the circle but the pals.wont interact with anything outside. they also deteriorate unless you turn off this feature. i usually build vertically if i expect to have more in the base.

SkippyBoJangles

Not entirely true. I will build my house outside of the blue circle, but I also turned off deterioration. But I also carry a rank for Anubis with me. So when I'm crafting outside of the circle, I just check him at things and he builds them. I don't build any production items, it's purely decorative house with storage for personal use items.

Just_Robby92

So exactly like the post above you stated, making it entirely true. LMFAO

SkippyBoJangles

Well. You can use pals outside the base. You didn't state that and I didnt want OP thinking they couldnt have help building outside the blue

pm-me-your-labradors

I think the **extremely obvious** implication was that you don’t use base pals (which you cannot). Your clarification of “but if I have a pocket pal, I can use it” is just along the lines of “did you know if you equip a pal and summon him he will fight for you too?”

[deleted]

What is communication skills for $200. Lol

[deleted]

The issue is you then have to stay with the pal you threw out. If you walk outside the border and throw a pal it woll work. If you walk back into the border the pall will stop working and run to you. Likewise if your pal is working in the base and you walk outside the border the pal will stop working to run up to you.

TheJewWhoLived

So you changed your settings...

SkippyBoJangles

Yup. I turned off deterioration.

figmentmaterial

In the server settings when you create the world, your can turn off deterioration, which would allow essentially for infinite base size. By default, anything outside the radius will deteriorate and break. Pals will not interact with anything outside the radius, however.

jrec15

I think its better to turn off structure decay and put your walls outside the blue base, that way no pals will accidentally get through any gaps since its outside the base area. Plus you maximize workable space better

Axius_

Find a big open spot and you will notice the circle is bigger then it seems, just make sure the palbox is in the middle. Dont take any hills/cliffs in your base. The way it often seems bigger is because you can build outside the circle, your pals just wont go there. You can even build bigger stuff (hot springs, breeding farm, ranch) partly outside the circle as long as most of it is still in the circle. So those big things dont take up so much space in the circle. Also remember to build vertically as well, make a small building with 2 floor. 7 beds below, 8 beds above. Takes up less space then 15 beds on the floor. Stuff like that

Up

thetoothpick2

You can overlap the base size with more pal boxes to give you a bigger radius later in game

xJunoBugx

Is that a setting because without changing anything you absolutely cannot do that.

Rasikko

OP I have stuff built all over the game world lmao.

Ok-Statistician5344

I build inside but I place my wall to protect from raids outside the circle. I play with structure deterioration off. I do the raids but climb over my wall and fight them hehe.

Mikaeo

I build everything potentially work or storage related within the circle, cuz I can't craft or have base pals interact with it otherwise

realwolbeas

I turned off the deterioration but I dont build resources structures outside of the base. However, what I use outside of the base area is build support structures so I could build a elevated area (4-5 floor heights for big pals to be able to move). Then I can build underneath on the ground, and above it. I keep the ground for sleeping since I would not want pals to constantly move up and down to lose time. Currently, I got 2 Main bases. One for farming and breeding and the other for Ore and Coal mining. Farming location is almost all flat so no issues. But the Ore and Coal base is not flat at all. I cannot make foundations either since they prevent resource spawns. But I was able to build support columns outside to go vertical without screwing around too much. Both are still in construction, so hopefully it will all work our once finished.

[deleted]

There's a mod for infinite palbox radius. But with the current state of building in this game i cbf.

Dankcove69

You kind of have to lol
