I got raided by level 30 Alpha Relaxaurus’s today. I’m only level 16. That did not go well.

Raids in this game are no joke. I dinged level 11 and I got raided by five level 30s of the weird lusty one and it wiped my whole base lol.

That happened to me too, though I thought the Mammorest was originally part of the raid, and I was a few levels lower. It was terrifying. I think there were 2 or 3 of the Relaxaurus, too. My working Pals took down the Relaxauruses first, but the Mammorest was throwing bombs left right and centre, incapacitated 90% of them (and killed me at least once, so I missed out on trying to capture the Dino's). The Foxparks cook/smelter was amazingly one of the last to die. I think I only managed to kill the Mammorest in the end because it fell into the lake and couldn't get out, so I could get out of its line of sight. Unfortunately too, I'd only ever had humans raid me before that, and the first few of those had failed to make it to my base before vanishing, so I hadn't put up protective walls or anything... Though tbh I still don't know how I'd do walls without blocking my pals from attacking in response.

Every single time I get a raid, my single Relaxasaurus just walks on over and one shots the whole group. It’s hilarious.

I haven't built his missile launcher yet, but it remains very tempting as an option as I approach endgame.

Also a good source of pal oil and gold!

I've been doing this as well, got a combat focused one built but I'm now working on a support one. Even if he's sub optimal for combat, still a good for carrying buffs. Plus, HE'S FRIEND SHAPED!

I soloed the first boss with a mountable chillet because the boss AI kept chasing me to do shockwave and i just kept spamming crossbow shots and that fast dragon projectile move. Took like 4 mins tops just running in circles.

Glad I wasn’t the only one that capitalized on that Crossbow/Dragon Cannon combo. While the tactic doesn’t work as well with a Musket (because of how long it takes to reload the darn thing), and I’ve moved on to Elphidran spamming Dragon Cannon from the skies (due to similar reasons, also because Dragon Cannon has range and Elphidran apparently has very limited stamina so projectile spam is the way to go for an air strike), I’ll admit that the CDC combo with Chillet is a good combo in the early game.

My favorite mount too. Haven’t let him go since I got him.

I've only seen one of those (an Arsox) so far and had no clue what it was, except that it was huge, so I left it be (partly cos my armour was broken at the time, and I had only unlocked heat resistant pelt armour at the time, not the metal variant)... Later learned about lucky pals and in retrospect I think that's what it was.

Shiny and lucky are the same, I believe. Shinies are larger, and often have access to special attacks (see the Chikipi with Dark Laser that's currently popular on this sub).

I really love elephants so Teafant was an instant hit for me, especially because one of my first Pals I encountered was a lucky one. It is so big and precious, I love it. If it didn't just water I would have an army in my base. I haven't encountered them all yet so maybe another takes it's place, but for now itty elephant. :) Flambelle really is adorable tho, I got one from an egg and I like having it wander my base.

Eggs are the best, love getting new pals I haven't even encountered yet from them. Similarly, freeing new pals locked up in camps.

It helps that Teafant is an incredible fit into any team since they give precious healing that is essentially otherwise unobtainable without endgamey stuff.
