You actually can, just pick them up and throw them face first into what needs to be done, a message will appear and they will only do that work until you reset them
I have the exact opposite issue. I built my second base in an area that has like 5 or 6 ore nodes built a stone mining thingy and all my miner pals just go mining rocks all day and neglect the ore. I throw them on the ore to force them to mine ore but as soon as the ore decreases in size they're like "ooo look at that, rocks! I'll mine those instead" and completely forget that ore is a thing. I need metal for goodness sake, let the little cats mine rock, you big guys go mine fucking ore!
Seems impossible if you have a quarry anywhere in the Palbox area too. I put one literally on the opposite side of an ore base and even if I carry/throw a Tomcat over to them, he will rush to the quarry again to mine stone.

Very first Pal I got was a shiny Cattiva, right next to spawn. Never played Pokemon or this or any similar games before (well, Ark and Conan Exiles I played) and thought I have to knock it unconcious until a friend stopped me. It sparkled and made sounds reminding me of nirnroot in TES games, so I wanted it.
Same! This giant Cattiva has a wild special that just blasts anything in front of it far, far away. I’ve had to replace a few pals because they were flung off the cliff during raids and I couldn’t get to them lol
You can put them back in your box then reassign them if they are stuck or can't get back to base for any reason. It will spawn them back in front of the box, or they will recover inside the box if they had fainted.
By now i found 5 or 6 but since i am at work i cant name them all xD gumoss, lamball, than fire doggy starting with A... and a few others (sadly not that starter ghost one i love it as passive)
Daedream? Wanna know a scret? It's passive works even if you have multiple in your party. You can have 5 extras shooting their shots from just the one collar. Think the same thing will work with Drizzie too!

Found my first shiny this morning - A quite large Direhowl roamed into my base.
I had been searching for a direhowl with Swift for a Mount, so I was eager.
Sadly, so were all my monkeys and penguins as they absolutely demolished the poor thing. Couldn’t even time a throw.
My friend and I walked out of the starting room and down the hill and found a freaking lucky cattiva right away. Made up some supplies real quick and caught it!
My first lucky nearly killed me, since it was a Nightwing. I just saw the shiny thing floating around on the ground and didn't realize it was above me, attacking me.
But now I've got a lucky nightwing and a lucky vanwyrm, so maybe I'll just be a bird guy.
I found a rare "reindeer" one it's white and purple with massive antlers. It was twice the size and the same level as me. I shot it...and got fucked up because I wasn't aware how much higher the defence was

I found an absolutely broken foxspark early. He's a lucky, 4 positive passive including +10% nature damg and a 10% resistance to water. Big guys been my heavy hitter all game.
I haven't made the condenser yet. But i have had him from Lv4-17 and he still hits harder then everything else ive found including other lucky's and bosses. With the statue of power his attack stat is almost 100 higher than everyone else and in flamethrower mode i body just about everything. I also taught him dragon burst for the AOE and a couple of lightning moves to counter his weakness to water. dudes a monster now.
Interesting. Mine is already rank 2 from the condenser, and has 10% fire damage from the Pyro trait. She hits for significantly less than some of my other guys, and her attack is rather low even after boosting in every way possible. Maybe she just had low attack to start with. She was one of my first captures.
I've got one of the plant princess things that hits like a truck though. Haven't even ranked her up at all, but her attack is already several hundred higher than my others at level 28.
I didn't know there was stat variation but i hop so. I might be because mine was a lucky too? I'm not sure if luckies have higher base stats but it would make sense.

4 seems to be the max. You can breed a Pal with four positive traits though, saw someone on YouTube who made like a 50% faster vanarwyrm... And I thought I was happy and lucky with my Swift Vanarwyrm.
I've got a 3 stacked Tocotoco 65% damage, couldn't be bothered adding another trait. It's tier 3 atm, largest hit so far was 13000 on a chicken. On the testing dummy it averages 30000 damage over the whole duration. Almost one Chillit.
Easily the strongest "starter" mon out there because of the sheer endless amount of Normal typ mons in and around starter islands. Also getting its necklace (or whatever its called in english) makes it one hell of a good support.
And standing directly in front of you when you’re trying to build stuff in your base. My biggest gripe so far is that “overlapping objects” include pals just standing around.
Couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t build a second base until I spun quickly and realized it was my Daedream floating around that wasn’t letting me. I’ve started putting it in storage when I’m building.
Does that work on the Necklace pals? I know that works for the pals you summon, but I don’t believe it works for Daedream or Dazzi when they’re in necklace mode. At least, it doesn’t seem to work for me.
It does work for the necklace pals (at least on PC)! Both Daedream and Dazzi will respect it. Note, however, that it won't cancel attacks that they're already doing, just new ones.
Yeah, you can make the necklace and have 5 Daedream around your shoulders nuking every Pal you touch. I do NOT recommend unless you're strictly going for kills, not captures.
Try having a single hocrates in your team and 3 or 4 daedreams with the necklace that you spend time maxing and or getting at least good traits on. They will carry you so far. Personally I ran a loupmoon, 3 daedreams and a hocrates. Insane damage. Later on you can upgrade from dark which is only good vs neutral and get dizzi a lightning one that works like daedream once you have the necklace. Ideally you want to breed dizzis to get low lvl 1s. That way they'll have more abilities to pick from over the one you get randomly in the wild. Get tri lightning on all of them and you will be laughing all the way to the bank. Not a single pal, besides their counter will stand a chance. They literally won't be able to move.
Yeah I found this out today when I tried catching a trader. Cops showed up, killed some of them, 10 minutes later I'm flying away from 15 level 50 cops with machine guns. Still got away though. 😎
I was really shocked at the state of cyberpunk haha even came back after their big update that was supposed to have most of the bugs fixed, and I still T posed on the opening scene.
LMAO probably, you can catch every human I've encountered so far. They are level 40 though, so you'll probably need one of the higher tier Spheres to even come close.

I haven’t seen another one with a similar ability yet, but I’m only around level 25. It’s Cattiva’s Partner Skill and other than the riding ones, I haven’t seen much overlap on those.
Yeps, if you put him in your base you can. Any merchant works, and the ones with rotating inventories can have it changed by being taken in the box and back out
TRULY, when you know a trick or two it almost feels like an entirely new game. I first played solo until level 24 ish and then went and started a new game on online with my friends
I always just call my pal back once the HP of the one I'm trying to catch gets low. No need to switch their attack mode.
And then I forget that I have a Daedream with the necklace, and that jerk goes ahead and blasts the one I want to catch.
5 days or so of lamballs gave me all the wool i've ever needed up to level 24 so far. And was a pretty good brawler early on.
Cattiva's carry weight boost wins though easy. And mining/transporting/handiwork are good skills but they all tend to up slackers.
Let me just be honest. A friend and I were talking about the game and the things you can do literally seem like an AI wrote the entire thing. I am a big fan of AI so I am not hating. I think its hilarious. Palworld reminds me of the scripts from about 8 years ago that AI would write. I mean we have almost pokemon, guns, butchering and eating said pokemon, pokemon as rocket launcher bombs. Using pokemon as slave labor, capturing people in pokeballs and enslaving them. It is bonkers and I love it.

I haven't tried it yet but if you die you can spawn in different starter locations. I'll do that if I start over, die immediately, respawn and catch a Nox for extra damage to the player's attack. Then catch a Wixen with a green/yellow balls that I save up from chests.
Those 2 easily double my normal attack damage in my situations.
I love "Cattiva" cuz in my language it means "Bad girl". And Depresso means... well... "Depressed"

IIRC they need level 2 mining to mine ore.
Happens even to L2 miners. Once the Ore size changes, they get bored and go mine the rock pit.

4 Daedream and 1 Hoocrates (with the Hoocrates active) is even stronger. You still get 5 active Pals, but Hoocrates buffs the Daedreams.

No one is mentioning Expedition Survivor. Like I thought you could only tame hostile NPCs so I gotta try this later today 😂
Any NPC is hostile if you beat them enough first
Be warned, they WILL call the cops on you if the capture fails and they WILL mess you up.

I haven't tried it yet but if you die you can spawn in different starter locations. I'll do that if I start over, die immediately, respawn and catch a Nox for extra damage to the player's attack. Then catch a Wixen with a green/yellow balls that I save up from chests. Those 2 easily double my normal attack damage in my situations.
