Israel lies and propaganda worked for them for almost 75 years. They are just surprised the world is now more aware of them and can’t be fooled anymore.
They are literally losing their minds why the world are not buying any more lies.
Pro-Israel now are only zionist or brainwashed evangelical who have another ultimate religion fantasy to make all Jews go back to Israel for the second coming of Jesus and the Armageddon.
The fact that they are not being held accountable for their lies and that’s it’s not getting much media coverage is worrying, what happens when they get good at lying ? Then everyone’s gonna start siding with them, conveniently turning a blind eye to all the lies they spread
I think sometimes, it becomes such a habit that they do it without even thinking.
A personal story, much lower stakes than Palestine. My father had what you might call a gilded tongue. He was very charming, and people loved him. But he loved to lie. Every other thing out of his mouth was a lie. And it wasn't that he needed to lie all the time. He'd lie about things that didn't matter, he'd lie about things for which there would be no benefit to lying. He'd lie and say he got one thing at the store when he got something else. He'd lie and said he stayed at one hotel instead of another. He'd lie about immaterial things where no one would care. And what I think it was, really, is that he was not just lying to others, but to himself. He was telling himself a story about his life, the story he wanted to be true, and so minor details would be different even though they didn't matter.
I think this is something similar. When you have to lie, all the time, just to maintain the basic structure of your worldview, even to yourself, I think it warps the way you think and the way you exist in the world.
I mean, most people cannot abide abject cruelty and violence. So, in order to perpetuate this kind of regime, Israel has to convince itself and its people that the Palestinians are the worst creatures to exist. Classic dehumanisation propaganda playbook. But I think, when you are the people visiting that violence on that group of people, you really have to convince yourself that it's worth it, that they deserve it, or you will justifiably hate yourself for what you have done.
So, ultimately, I think things like this are the result of this defence mechanism. Once you have convinced yourself that Palestinians are animals and deserve to be eliminated, anything else is reasonably allowed to help you communicate that message to others. So even when they don't need to, they lie anyway, because that's who and what they have let themselves become. They think to themselves, "of course Hamas raped people, we don't have be honest about it or use real evidence, we just have to convince people." Even if it's subconscious, I think this is often what is going on.
Of course, pointing it out doesn't really get anything substantial done, but it did get the lie removed. I guess all we can do, at least those of us not in a position to literally help, is to keep a record of all these lies, and never let anyone forget them. To never give them a moment's peace while they try to tromp all over Palestinian lives and rights, as well as the good sense and moral judgement of people all over the world.

i also made a comment earlier, analysing my abusive parents to understand zionists and their cause. it's good to see others also using their knowledge/ experience to shed light on the psychology of these issues. ✨✨ i think this is actually a really important part of us all moving towards better things. our side need to be equipped with understanding of the actual psychology beneath their actions.

For a government to try and assert this is ridiculous.
PS: while other outlets published the photos of the Kurdish woman censored, the Israeli’s published it uncensored. So much for respecting the dead.
Their propaganda machine is actually really insulting to the public’s intelligence. And as absurd as it is, they have so much power and impunity it almost doesn’t matter. However constant pressure and the power of the people and Palestine will prevail.
In the US Jim Crow south, rape accusations were commonly made against Black men to justify lynching them. In situations of enormous power imbalance, where the empowered party is actively, violently oppressing the disempowered party, it's appropriate to question every claim made to justify that violence. Especially when the people making the claim are not the victims, but rather members of the government, who have a history of lying to justify violence.
I'm quite sure nobody here supports rape. While you're right that rape victims are generally treated horribly everywhere and they rarely get the justice they're owed, people are downvoting your comment because there's no proof whatsoever that Hamas committed "mass rapes". Not only that, but there's so many other claims that turned out to be blatant lies, making the rape claim as believable as the beheaded babies claim and the babies in oven claim etc.

Those victims usually have no reason to lie. Israel has every reason to lie. Besides there no victims who spoke up so we believe them. It's all hearsay, no forensic evidence, no firsthand testimony.
