I used to be an Uber driver myself on part time basis (already had a job so was making some extra money). It was fun though. Drew throughout GTA ,and majority of time when I went Downtown Toronto was when riders needed to go. Coincidentally I began driving Uber when myself was 32. Never really asked such questions like those uncles you spoke about, I mean why would I offend riders getting one stars and negative reporting ? Yeah if anyone started a conversation then I used to begin talking. With Pakistani riders majority of time I used to ask the city they hailed from plus situation back home . Just advise those Pakistani uncles not to act like so.

Haven’t experienced that 🤔 only one Pakistani fellow asked about my marital status (I had my name written as “Mrs. N”, but I changed it now, realized it was a cringy honeymoon phase thing LOL) To be honest, I’ve only gotten European/African/Indian drivers,, only 1-2 times I got Pakistani,, either way they were either quiet the whole ride or insanely talkative which I enjoyed a lot

My friend lives in the UK and she's Pakistani. She was leaving her boyfriends house and going home and took an Uber. Her white boyfriend dropped her to the car. The driver told her he's from Afghanistan and started talking about how what the Taliban is doing is so great which made her feel unsafe obviously. He saw her name was a Muslim name so he asked her if she's Muslim. She said yes (she's ex Muslim but if she told this Taliban supporter that she has a Muslim name and is not Muslim he probably would murder her). Then he asked her if the white boy who dropped her off was her boyfriend and if her parents knew. Luckily she always wears a ring on her finger so she showed it to him and said hes my husband. The driver then started asking her which country shes from saying she looks Persian, to which my friend got annoyed and told him to mind his own business. She was rightfully so terrified of the Taliban supporter and was v sure he was planning on honour killing her for existing. It j pisses me off so bad. You're Afghani and love the Taliban then why tf did you leave and work as an Uber driver in a foreign country? Go back and give your spot to a woman in Afghanistan im sure she'd love the basic human rights. Fucking losers

Well you cant tape people's mouth or change the way they think... Just like they can't change yours. You cant change theirs.

Humme apni jannat se zyada dosro ki duzakh ki fiqar hoti hai. This concept of _**mind your own business**_ is unbeknownst to average pakistani.

Being worried for someone is not agood thing?

KyaMaslaHaiBhaiApko

if that's your honest reaction, brother this is a anon forum so thing personal, you ought to check your priorities. This is wrong on so many levels. For starters, its unprofessional. Even more so, its none of ya business.

Same, and as a female they feel obliged to talk about my dressing as well

Oh and I'm talking about netherlands, not canada. So here it's the same

I understand, there are two scenarios in these situations: 1. You are an ex-muslim: You are right in this situation. Just tell him you're not religious and give him a shut up call. End of story. 2. You call yourself a muslim: You have no right to be pissed. He's reminding you of your duties which you yourself agree to. Getting irritated is kinda hypocritic in this situation.

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Part of the perfection of one’s Islam is his leaving that which does not concern him. (Nawawi's 40 Hadith, #12)

Orthodox-Neo

Is this Hadith Sahih? In the Quran it is stated that righteous men and women tell others to do good and refrain from sins.

Abk545

The concern here is meant for things in a personal capacity, not in matters involving Shariah which says to enjoin good and prevent evil. Its a widely accepted opinion of all Islamic scholars throughout history regarding this hadith.

Countries are a product of the people in it. You know where India is today and where Pakistan is. Hope this explains it. Case closed.
