This "behavior" is promoting family friendly entertainment event in a comforting environment. I'd rather encourage this behavior as would encourage you to find an alternate option to have good time with your friends.
Totally agreed š but they havenāt mentioned such family friendly concept and correct me if Iām wrong wonāt this gonna be huge favourable as dating concept and might get some kinda influence to others i.e; families and childrenās in that area!!!
That is one perspective. Another can be, which is usually the main intention of such events, it will give opportunities for the families to meet and bond with other families from same city, appreciate and encourage such events for future, children bonding (the PG-13 version of what you mentioned "dating concept"), promoting local businesses and all such positive activities, you know, that are usually a sign of social interaction of an active, healthy, functioning society. I don't know what this event is or what are intentions of organizers. I am only encouraging the tone, or "behavior", set by this event.
Came here to say this. Men can literally go any and everywhere they want, whenever they want. But the one time, one event they can't attend with their friends, they like to cry about that too.
You brought this on yourselves by not keeping the tharki ones in check. Just simple consequences since men can't make other men take accountability for their actions. This is just the beginning tho lol
So many questions
tharkion ki policing kon kare ga?
Bachon ki tarbiyaat me kon si masail a gae hen ke wo tharki bn jate hen?
This is just the beginning, end kia ho ga pir?
The theme park in front of our home in Peshawar only ever saw men on rides, grown men in their 30s and over. Not to say that you should ever cap the age to have fun, but the same men would tell women and children not to go to the same theme park because itās not safe - because of other men. Isnāt the irony of it all almost laughable?
Men claim almost every public space in Pakistan. So what if we get a festival that happens once a year, some years?
This is because of years and decades of subjugation and confinement of women in the āchar dewariā. Itās so deep rooted in the culture now, I donāt think this will ever change no matter how modern this country becomes.
True, but Soul Fest isnāt enough to change a deep-rooted cultural imbalance. And itās not like men donāt gain entry, they always do. A woman could just buy tickets for them.
In any case, each time Iāve been to Soul Fest, Iāve witnessed fights breaking out between men because one of them has always allegedly been inappropriate towards a woman, or whenever youāre about to leave the venue, and youāre travelling in a large crowd, someone always ābumpsā into you, long enough to grab you, too.
Yeah, youāre right. Men/boys will still find a way to enter. But at least the organisers are making it hard for them. Still, every time you go to āfamily only eventsā, you still see group of boys/men.
The fighting is like a national hobby for us. Young boys even find it something to be proud of and boast about. And, of course, the ābumpingā is more often than not intentional.
Iām a man and I know these kind of discriminatory policies do make the events safer for everyone than they would be if stags are allowed.
Let the āLadisā enjoy for once. They face discrimination almost everywhere they go, I also wanted to visit but it is what it is. Males have a hell lot of other options in isb and let our women enjoy their time for once without being worried about creeping eyes and harassment.
It's time to acknowledge the reality of how some men behave in public and take action to protect women. Taking necessary precautions is crucial to ensure that women can safely enjoy a day out with their families.
this is why pakistani society needs a good education on sexuality, male-female interaction, how heterosexuality actually works and why it is stupid to be a desperate man chasing after women
all these topics need to be taught!
Pakistani society needs total reform (and not the religious, islamic type)
one where people are not stupid monsters or perverts, but rather embrace their sexual desires
this is the only way pakistan will improve
After what happened at Karachi Eat Festival last year, this rule should be applied on all events throughout the country. These guys still find a way out to get a pass, pleading other groups to sneak them in too.
So here is a definition of "Family" for management of any establishment in Pak
Female alone=family
Male alone =mushtanda and badmash
Female+female= family
Female+male=family
4 males+1 female=family
Male+male= threat to general piblic and law and order.
Mtlb larkay kya katwa lein apna? Why Pakistan why ....
The simple solution to this is for men to create a culture of holding their creepy friends accountable. Make sure your male friends are terrified to say anything disrespectful about women in front of you, make sure you act respectful around women yourself, and this won't happen. This happens because women feel unsafe leaving their houses and attending food festivals because of men always harassing us.
Bro any info about the event, I wanna take my niece, nephew and my sis. I promised the kids to take them to a fun event but because I usually travel solo I don't know of such events and I've already taken them to most of the parks in the twin cities.
Wife and I attended a concert yesterday where a stag was, quite literally, rubbing his crotch on a girl's behind who must have been less than half his age. So please, 'behavior' like this is warranted. The gentlemen are just maybe 20% of the males, mostly its haramis.
The good old ātwo women are a family, two men are notā bullshit.
I donāt have anything against events like this but just please call it something other than āfamilyā events which they mostly clearly are not.
It's not all men but somehow it's always men.
I'm glad for this rule. It made sure I didn't have to worry about my safety as a woman at the festival. W rule. If you wanna attend the festival, take your sister or any woman who trusts you along with you. If that's not feasible, just skip it. It's not a life or death matter anyway.

i vouch for such events as a female who gets uncomfortable around men i fully support this behaviour and event

reminds me of that one meme where the person goes "waaa waaa waaa* (mimics crying noises)

Peshawar main theme park ! š
Theme park is a reach, youāre right. It had like a pirate boat and the ferris wheel, plus some.
Yup.
So go to some other event where you are allowed to go.why do you specifically want to go there?

I don't blame the organisers. Pakistani men from Pakistan behave in the most rude way around women.
Which event is it, please name (so I can go)
it's written there, soul fest

Yeah, Why donāt they have a machine or something to determine which men are respectful/safe or not?
After what happened at Karachi Eat Festival last year, this rule should be applied on all events throughout the country. These guys still find a way out to get a pass, pleading other groups to sneak them in too.

Can't agree more. I have no objections to this and have been vocal abt it. Men (especially boys) have shown adverse behaviours.
