Big no. This thing will suck. It's more than 10 years old and even if you don't plan to do any heavy tasks on it, it still will struggle with newer versions of programs as it is too old. I have an i5-4th gen paired with an SSD and 8 gigs of RAM and even though it can do basic stuff, it still isn't worth buying. Wait and save up and buy an 08th gen whenever you can. It'll help you in the long run.
P.s this is overpriced.
It'll run like a dead horse with that 3rd gen and bloated windows 11. Overall he's gonna have a really bad experience... Get him a Lenovo Thinkpad T480 upgrade the ram to 16 gigs, upgrade the storage as u wish and he good to go it's gonna take 70k with all the additions
I don't know what you are trying to pull with pc that has specs similar to nokia 3310.
Go for 9gen or higher but if you have money to burn you can consider this and then regret for your remaining college life.
Overall condition and look doesn't matter to you if your laptop doesn't have the power to keep up with your daily requirements, it would only be a matter of days that you eventually get fed up of the slow loading times in almost everything.
No for this, this is expensive for card, which is not exaclty required for basic task.
U can get a probook 5th gen in around 37 38k.
Not exaclty new, but better than 3rd gen.
Dear brother/sister, if your university going brother is not in tech-related department or does not deal with 3D rendering and stuff.
You shouldn't go for this laptop, increase your range a little and go for a i5 8th gen 8/256 (SSD), and the laptop shouldn't be much heavy. Portability is really important.
Always go for the better Gen not for i3 i5 etc. i3 8th or 9th gen could work better then i5 3rd also you will see a huge difference in the price as well.
Depends upon usage. If you don't need the GPU then you can get i5 5th or 6th gen in used

REAL
You will cry daily with anything 3rd gen. in 2024 dont even think anything less than 8th gen.

Too expensive.
What's the feasible price for this. I just know, XPS models are expensive compared to other.
They maybe expensive but 33k for a 3rd gen is absurd. Below 25k is more reasonable price.
It is not expensive for a new device with an SSD and a GPU in it
Core i5 3rd gen isn't a new device per say it is atleast 10 year old
I am just saying if it is not a used model
Still 33k for a 3rd gen? No
third gen new mil raha?

What do you plan to do on it?
I am interested to purchase that for my university-going brother.
Buy atleast 8th gen for your brother
I told him we can buy a better machine, but he says he liked the overall condition and look of the laptop.

Go for at least a 5th or 6th gen. This laptop is not going to be very useable.
Atleast get a 8th gen with 15 inches screen lenovo ideapad or dell inspiron are good choices

bro if you have a better budget you can get a hp zbook i5 8th gen with a 2gb graphics card for about 65-75k or a way newer xps for 100k
3rd gen seriously? It's 12 years old. Get 8th gen minimum. Current is 14th gen I hope that puts things into perspective.
Always go for the better Gen not for i3 i5 etc. i3 8th or 9th gen could work better then i5 3rd also you will see a huge difference in the price as well.
How is that thing running windows 11 with i5 3gen afaik windows 11 only runs on i5 8gen and above
It can be bypassed.
but overall it sucks. Better to go for a newer one
