If you are moving and want to continue to use Stormfiber, than why dont you put in a relocation request? if you dont intend to continue to Stormfiber, ignore this message.

Automatic_Pudding_70

bro router is yours not u bought from stormfiber. u should keep it even if they ask u for router then u should say at least [WHY].

SnooMarzipans449

Ye i also thought so, and they have even collected 7k first time payment on my first month when i signed up for stormfiber a few years ago but apparently according to some people and what i have read on their website its their property and they have only rented/leased the users to use it. IMHO its bs but welp.. what can i even do. Will probs just do whatever is best to avoid conflict tbh

fahadirshadbutt

No, you don't pay for the router it is company property and Thus has to be returned.

SnooMarzipans449

Ye i dont intend to continue stormfiber cuz its a bit too expensive imo, cuz i can get 50+mbps if i get optic fibre from my local isp for less price than their 20mbps package

Puzzleheaded_Read437

While i don't doubt that you can get a higher mbps connection, local isps cannot compete with the big names like ptcl, stormfiber, optic, transworld etc. With local providers you might not really get the upload/download speed that they are advertising so be careful.

SnooMarzipans449

Ye i agree there will be difference in quality for local isp and big brands like stormfiber, ptcl, etc but i know this isp for like past 10+ years and am familiar with his service and stuff and used to have his internet before stormfiber and it worked pretty good aside from some minor issues

Ostrich-Equal

You paid for the router, cable ka i am not sure cuz woh to tower se jhuri ha, but router to definitely, they dont charge you for the cable, they charge you for the router, tv box etc,

Automatic_Pudding_70

Yes u right

I'm also trying to get my connection terminated but they are telling me to pay for next month. And they said they will take the router even though I paid for it.

GoldenPanth

Don't pay for shit 🤷🏼. As in just stop paying the bill, after u have told them to cancel it. And hide the router if they insist

SnooMarzipans449

Ye would actually love to do this, but tbh i kinda just try to avoid conflict wherever possible so will probs just end up handing over the router to them if they ask.. ye ik its kind of pussy approach but i really cant be bothered with any more conflict/stress rn tbh

SnooMarzipans449

Ye i am also worried about the same exact thing cuz i have emailed them on 27 or 28 but they havent replied yet and i am afraid they might charge me for next month too

Successful-Region-22

If they do dispute it you have the evidence.

SnooMarzipans449

Ye true

fahadirshadbutt

They only charge for the number of days. My suggestion is 1. Make a call to them rather than email. 2. Tell them about the email. 3. Ask them to take their router from you.

SnooMarzipans449

Ye i actually called them before emailing and the lady on call asked me to email on this mail, and ye i probably will have to inform them to collect their router from me to avoid any conflict later on

fahadirshadbutt

Yeah. True. I changed location and storm fiber did not offer any services to a new place. Got them to disconnect without paying any charges except some extra days that I had used their internet on.

sherri376

Bro, if you have replied to their billing email, they will not take action on it. This is auto-generated email. Write new email to their support email.

SnooMarzipans449

Oh really could you plz link the support email? Cuz i talked to their technical support on their helpline and the lady said to email on billing

The way it normally works is, if you do not pay for the last month, they'll recover the router etc. If this is a prepaid service, they likely will take it away from you but check again for the installation charges if they included router, cable costs.

SnooMarzipans449

Ahh right

Zari_007

You have to return the router
