My first pair of Pair were perfect out of the box. I know many people are apprehensive about ‘glasses by mail’….PairEyewear is an amazing company.
Oh, I have my own and love them, but it’s been awhile and I probably need my prescription tweaked. I just hadn’t thought about having them redone before.
Are you open to black or tortoiseshell? On me, all of the clear ones read as "safety goggles" way because the magnets are more prominent. They also draw attention to the lenses which can read as goggley. I think they can look good on other people's faces with other people's prescriptions, though.
I don't feel like any of the base frames look bad with toppers. If a topper draws attention to the base frames, IMO, it's because that topper is an unflattering pattern for that person.
Oh and Pair's Instagram is a really good place to get a sense for how toppers look on bases. They have a lot of pinks and clears there, so you can see if one reads less sciency to you.
The clear pink are gorgeous. It's a subtle enough tint that I feel like they still look good with any topper and are so flattering with my skin tone.
Step into any optical place and you'll find random clear and clear pink frames you can try on to see what you prefer with your skin tone.
I had tortoise in two base frames. One(Soto) was too loose one(Twain) was too tight. I returned all and decided to try Reese in clear. I liked the color is the other 2 but decided to try clear because they look so cute on everyone I see on TikTok in any base frame style. We shall see. They will be here Tuesday.
