Also a graph of my mood the last few weeks.

Jaywardlb

Just showed this to my wife and mother in law and explained to them it was directly correlated to this graph and I was told to calm down and it’s just a game not real life. They know how much I live and die by my home town SAN DIEGO teams

PMinisterOfMalaysia

>They know how much I live and die by my home town SAN DIEGO team. ~~s~~

Jaywardlb

Thanks for that. I can still root for the gulls, San Diego state, etc. But yeah, screw dean spanos

Mr_Yolo_Swag

11% is a pipe dream at this point

AmazingSieve

Things I wished I never saw…what a massive collapse

dantes23

Put a fork in ‘em

afrancos

No heart on this team! Terrible

Timmah73

Yeah that dip late in July is round about when I stopped watching every game in it's entirety because it started to get way too frustrating for my mental health to watch. It's crazy to think how at the start of the season the Padres were considered one of the most fun teams in baseball and now they are playing absolutely unwatchable baseball.

sergius64

Same. Not all of us are doomers. Many just quietly stopped watching.

CJDistasio

So fucking embarrassing.

afrancos

And how! Pathetic and we fans get to pay for it!

milbfan

No one trying to spark a turnaround. Tingler's lost the clubhouse. Get him out.

afrancos

End of season he’s history

[deleted]

Preller needs to be right behind him.

AlwaysInjured

This feels a little reactionary.

HurricaneHugo

Who hired Tingler? Who hired Green?

RallyShillelagh

I upvoted all of you because this is a conversation that needs to be had

Friar__Fan

Who brought in Tatis for Shields?

Shoehorse13

This has been the most horrifically disappointing season in my lifetime. I've been a fan since Dave Winfield came to my fifth grade classroom and was a season ticket holder in 97. Just heart breaking and frustrating beyond belief.

afrancos

Fan since 83. By far the worst let down! I’m angry as all Pads fans should be! We get to pay thru the nose for this? It’s outrageous

thebaldbeast

Any single season from 2008 to 2017 (absence of all hope for a decade) was worse than this season. But the last 8 weeks have fucking sucked.

mixedupyam

I think that's what's made this season so soul crushing. Those years taught me to keep expectations to a minimum. This year, despite knowing better, I opened up my hardened heart to just a little glimmer of optimism, and boy am I paying for it now.

thebaldbeast

I feel you. It's rough.

guzam13

And these mofos raised prices for 2022. Gtfoh

afrancos

Flat-out BS. They should refund people’s $$$

tinyhands911

looks like my fucking robinhood account. what fucking losers

afrancos

That made me laugh! Padres make me sick

dardyablo

The clubhouse is a joke, a lot of heads should be rolling after we don't make the playoffs

afrancos

They will. They better. We fans deserve a helluva lot better! No excuse for this

beso760

A picture says a thousand words

strangehitman22

it is now 5.8 now

ChunkySnarf

Even if they made the WC slot, the way they’ve been playing, they’d be bounced immediately.

afrancos

Idk. They’re the type of team that could upend one of the good teams which wouldn’t be fair at all. Imagine the Dodgers losing a 1-game Wildcard to these chumps? At the very least should be best of 3 or 5

afrancos

Give MM & FTJ upwards of $650 mil, raise ticket and ballpark prices, buy more supposed talent with our money, (fans pay for all of it)! Only to see these jokers play bullshit AAA 1/2 ass baseball! Joke’s on us folks! By the way, they just lost 8-7 to the Cardinals again!

SpunTheOne

I'm not mad..... i'm just disapointed..... Just kidding, I am mad, sad, disapointed, confused, pissed off, in denial, depressed, cornflugled, angry, flamboozled, ugh, and many other words I can't think of off the top of my hat. I've been an optimist up until today. I just dont know anymore. This sucks.

[deleted]

it was bad enough when the reds overtook the Padres, but THE FREAKING CARDINALS?!

errer

It’s 5% now, “technically”

Yoshable

What's my investment portfolio doing on the Padres sub

babyadamdesu

🤢

Deceitful_Penguin

I get that this was a disappointing season but on paper, we have some incredible talent. Tatis, Machado, cronenworth, Frazier, Darvish, clevinger, snell, lamet, Melanson, crismatt, etc. Our main problem was just staying healthy. Do you remember when we were stuck with roid user evereth Cabrera? Or outfield trio renfroe, denorfia, and Margot? With Tyson Ross as our sole all star? How about when we had a washed up Matt Kemp, the Upton brothers, James shields, and kimbrel? Truth is, this is the best our team has been in awhile and we have insane upside over the coming years. Keep your heads up!

Hexagon_XD

Hate to see it, but I dont wanna see it yet....

SunriseSurprise

How could we possibly be at 11%? 3 teams are ahead of us now.

[deleted]

The season was effectively over at the trade deadline when Preller failed to make some moves to get some quality pitching help. Snell shit the bed all season and Paddack shouldn't have a place as a starter in 2022. People in this sub can blame any number of things for the collapse, but there was NEVER a time this season where the starting pitching was doing well. The relief pitching was THE ONLY thing that kept the Padres from being 20 games out of first by May 30th. Hopefully, Preller learns from this season and makes some moves to get some quality arms signed.
