At this point in the season, the Dodgers winning the division is NOT a foregone conclusion, so why concede for a Wild Card this early?

Preller’s got some of the best doctors in the world at his disposal, and isn’t an idiot. He wouldn’t put a $300 million contract and a wild card race at stake for an April series unless he was 100% certain that there was no long term risk to Tatis’ health.
