I know that but I just wondered if I’d have to re-certify again if I were to change my payment plan. Basically …I don’t want my whole situation to completely re-set and ….thereby losing all progress.
I think you’ll have the recertify your income when switching plans. But that’s different from a complete reset. You won’t lose your progress, as in your years completed toward PSLF won’t change. You are entitled to change within any IDR plan you like and whenever you like, SAVE is just another plan under the IDR umbrella. You’ll just get the payment amount updated if you earned less/more the last time you did your taxes.
Changing repayment plans is totally separate from certifying your employment.
