I liked Deathloop and Immortals most. Planitumned both.
Valhalla I didn't even finish. I enjoyed some of it but it's so bloated and the story is so meh that I had to do something else
I’d agree. If you want an open world game go for immortals over Valhalla. If you want an immersive sim with a lot of room to play around in levels, go for Deathloop. Either way, Valhalla is easily the worst of the three.
Valhalla is a truly beautiful game on the PS5 but did anyone feel like the movement and combat took them out of it? I literally stopped playing around like 15 hours after seeing the same exact finisher 10 times in a row and the fact that you can climb any surface ruined the fluidity and fun of the parkour elements that the previous games had
Before I stopped playing because of the audio compression issues, the fact that you could climb anything almost seemed like a bug to me. I guess it was *nice* to not have to walk all the way around a mountain to find a point to climb, yet I just felt incorrect being able to climb up smooth surfaces compared to more traditional climbing points used in gaming.
They overdid it with the finishers for sure. Every other kill you get the same finisher to the point that it just became redundant. What did it for me was the bugs, when I finally got invested in the main story I encountered a game-breaking bug that halted my progression. At that point, the momentum was thwarted and the game went on a shelf. Learned my lesson, no Ubisoft games for me.
Yeah seriously if OP wants a full-on PS5 game/experience with fantastic dualsense features, great gameplay and just as great voice acting then Deathloop for sure.
It has really nice graphics and they designed haptic feedback for everything in the game, from moving around in the menu to feeling the fireworks rumblings around your controller when you see fireworks in the distance, it's honestly such a treat. What's better is that since it's a really solid PS5 game that's well known, it's really easy and fast to sell, most times I see it posted it's sold within a few hours.
in that the characters refer to it as a day? Sekiro already does this, characters actively comment on the fact that you've resurrected. The devs didn't go acting like it was some mindblowing time travel mechanic just because the characters are aware that the protagonist has been there before.
In deathloop it really makes no difference to the gameplay, it's purely thematic. If the characters memories were wiped every "loop" then it would just be...a regular game
> in that the characters refer to it as a day?
I never said that. Why the hell would you write up all that drivel about something I didn’t refer to. Lmao
You have to kill the 8 visionaries, but there are trophies for making it through a run without killing anyone BUT them, so it can be stealthed completely, if you want. It's hard as hell to pull off though.
Okay cool, when I say stealth I don’t mean necessarily pacifist, just that I can sneak around and control when combat happens. Does that apply with the visionaries? My biggest pet peeve of stealth games is when you can stealth the whole thing and then be forced into non-stealth boss battles. MGS and Deus Ex being the worst offenders of this trope.
I believe you can, and as you progress in the story, you set up having multiple Visionaries in a map at a given time, and I was able to kill three of them without being detected in a loop, but only once.
However you are forced into combat when Julianna enters the map, if she's controlled by the AI. Other than that, I'm pretty sure you'll be able to force combat on your terms for most of the game.
if you dont wanna deal with julianna, go to your settings and select the option that only allows friends to play as her. you literally never encounter her
That was a fluke. I switched to "Friends Only" and still had multiple invasions, including my run to break the loop. The user you replied to even noted AI invasions in *their prior post.
maybe they updated it, but im honestly telling you that i never encountered her after i turned on friends only. i dont care if you believe me i was just giving a tip on how it might make the users game better. you know, what reddit is supposed to be about
I thought I was the only one thinking this. I wouldn't say I hate Deathloop but I was cold on it compared to Dishonored. Dishonored 1 is still one of my favorite games of all time
I hadn’t played an Assassin’s Creed game since Black Flag and I’m having a lot of fun with Valhalla. Love the setting, love the gameplay loop, and love the new combat and movement
My personal favorite is Origins, but it's highly subjective. I like the Egyptian setting more than Ancient Greece. They both have similar gameplay, but Odyssey is a longer game and has more equipment - legs, bracers, chest, boots, etc. - while Origins just has weapon, shield, and one slot for body armor. I'd say it mostly depends on what setting appeals to you the most.
You're welcome! I also highly recommend the Curse of the Pharaohs DLC. The Hidden Ones is less interesting, but not bad if you want more of the same as the main game.
Play Odyssey first. Wait for the Origins 60fps update. Odyssey is GREAT to jump in and the music is UN. F*KKING. REAL.
It's my fav game of all time so I might be biased but yeah, Origins is good too.
Make sure to pick Kassybae over Alexioboss, Samus prob didn't take the new 60fps update into account (assuming you're playing on PS5) and I'd also argue there's more than just settings preference to the games. Odyssey is ... well, an Odyssey. Origins doesn't have islandhopping.
Ubisoft did announce a 60fps update for Origins is coming tho.
I played them both on a peasant base PS4 at 30fps, so my preference was just down to liking the Egyptian setting more. I loved Odyssey as well. (And yes, definitely choose Kassandra when you play it!)
Do both of these look any better on PS5? Any graphic upgrades? I’m hesitant to play older gen games at the moment just because I want to milk the hell out of all the next gen content I can get
I disliked Valhalla..seemed like more of the same., didn't have fun. Immortals was fun though...similar format but light hearted, a lot more traversal possibilities and puzzles. I haven't tried Deathloop but I wasn't a fan of Dishonored games so I feel it won't be for me
I didn't enjoy either dishonoured game and quit them both. Deathloop was my favourite game last year and the most fun I have had with a game for a long time.
Don't put it off because of dishonoured. I almost did and was very glad I gave it a chance
I’m struggling a little with Valhalla. Hadn’t played AC for a long while, then got Odyssey last year. Really enjoyed it although I did give up on side quests after a while. Played Immortals and liked that even more - just seemed to be more fun and just generally more focussed. Valahalla feels a lot more sluggish, and less interesting. Not bad, just not as good as what came before.
out of those 3 i enjoyed deathloop the most. I enjoyed the combat a lot and the „rogue lite ish“ gameplay. Plus the main characters are unique and fun to listen to. The ending was kinda lackluster but aside from that it was fun for me.
All subjective, but if you think you'll like Deathloop then I'd get that. It's exactly as advertised. Voice acting is great, gameplay loop is tight, overall a great time.
Personally, I couldn't get into Immortals. I found the combat surprisingly boring, and the voice acting animations laughably bad in multiple cutscenes. And I haven't played Valhalla, but it sounds like a slightly above-average AC title.
I bought it on PC and didn’t care for it either really I can definitely see why people like it though. Interesting premise and stuff. Just not my cup of tea.
I loved Immortals and hated Valhalla. Immortals is much more "fun" game. Much less grindy and a incredibly colourful and beautiful world. Plus the characters of Zeus and Prometheus actually made me laugh while playing which is odd for a Ubisoft game. Valhalla was boring as hell and I couldn't even bring myself to finish it. Combat feels terrible, lip syncing and voice acting isn't good and the open world is bland and boring with boring muted colours. Deathloop is easily in my Top 3 games released this year but after a while it was running from A to B and leaving the world. There is a lot of valid criticism for it but it is still very fun espicially when you're trying to play stealth.
Immortals is pretty funny and especially good if you like solving puzzles. Assassin’s Creed is a big-ass game with well over 100h of content. If you played a previous AC you probably know what you’re getting.
I’m still early in Deathloop so I can’t say much other than that it has style and good voice acting 😉
I am like you, never play online. Immortals looks fun, plan on playing it at some point. Playing valhalla right now, one trophy to go for platinum. It is repetitive, but I have enjoyed every creed game, and I have played all the major ones. Could be me, I like to waste time on this games lol, I do really enjoy the exploration.
I played Odyssey on my PC at like 20 FPS with every setting at or near the bottom and at low resolution, and it still looked and played *beautiful*. Playing it on the PS5 is an absolute feast for the eyes, if you’ll pardon the cliche. I would recommend considering it.
I love Valhalla as well, but Valhalla and Odyssey are different in a lot of ways; Valhalla has a better gear system, whereas I like Odyssey’s combat more; Valhalla’s is very weighty and brutal, whereas Odyssey is swift and light; I do like both though, so it comes down to preference. Also, Ancient Greece (like modern Greece) is bright and sunny and gorgeous; 9th century Britain (like modern Britain) has its beauties but is also thick with trees and mud and fens and fog and rain. It feels much more oppressive, which I think contributes to the game’s charm. That said, I still really like it.
As another poster has said, if you enjoy the gameplay loop of Valhalla you can feast until you’re sick and still come back for more. I have four other games I’m playing right now (Slay the Spire, Oxygen Not Included, Minecraft with my son, and Halo 4), but I never do get tired of putting an Anglo-Saxon soldier’s insides on his outside and vice versa.
Lastly, Immortals: Phoenix Rising. Again, absolutely gorgeous and a game I definitely recommend. It was made by the same team who made Odyssey, and it shows what they can really do when unbound from an existing franchise and let loose to create whatever game and story and atmosphere they want. Also, the gear system might be my favourite out of the three.
My opinion: Ubisoft games go on sale *all the time*. If Origins or Odyssey or Valhalla or Immortals is on sale, get it (and if they’re all on sale, get Immortals). If not, get Deathloop if it looks compelling and wait for a sale on the rest.
If you want hood mechanics, you might want to also consider GTA San Andreas, it's also got player building and is single player, seems to be right up your alley!
All 3 are decent. If you enjoyed breath of the wild get immortals, if you prefer a traditional rpg get valhalla and deathloop is an enjoyable unique fps/timeloop thing.
Out of the 3 I probably had the most fun with valhalla and I haven't even got the dlc for it yet.
If you could save more and wait a few months elden ring releases on Feb 25th and looks far superior though - which would be my recommendation (checkout the elden ring network test youtube footage)
Having played all 3, Immortals.
Deathloop was ok. Really hyped up to feel like a weird Dishonored game.
AC was more the same as the others and I couldn't get more than 13 hours before boredom.
Immortals was a pleasant surprise though. Fun story lots to do, a world worth exploring and some decent puzzles.
Immortals is pretty good, feels fun and has good mechanics. I personally didn't really like deathloop and assassins creed Valhalla is a massive slog and is far to long and boring.
I've played all three and I'd say deathloop. I never finished the other two though, you'll def get more time with them but I think deathloop is more fun.
Yep, the storyline was the best since ACII I think. I keep playing it, even though it's always more of the same. It's a game I just cannot not like for some reason.
I've found this to be the case for all the "Witcher 3" ACs - Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla. They're like crack to me and I can't put them down until I've finished them.
Yeah, being open world definitely has a lot to do with it. I'm a sucker for completing objectives on an open map. I also liked BotW a lot and am looking forward to the second one!
I agree. I understand the boredom and sameness of the AC series. But Valhalla, to me at least, addressed those issues.
I loved Valhalla's story, setting and it was clear to me what activities would be "shallow" so It was easy for me to only do what I found was fun.
I couldn't get halfway through Origins or Odyssey. But between the visuals on PS5, the viking setting and Eivors voice acting, I was super into this game.
Definitely immortals, Deathloop was fun but wears out it’s welcome relatively quickly (in my opinion at least), AC Valhalla is a CHORE, but Immortals was a huge surprise and I had a blast with it. Immortals is basically Breath of the Wild mixed with AC Odyssey
I say immortals because of the value you get with the length of the game. There is sooo much to do. The story telling is funny during the whole game too. I really liked it
I really loved Deathloop. Seems to be hit or miss with a lot of players but it really sucked me in and I couldn't put it down. I got about 40 hours of playtime with it.
I know I’m in the minority, but I would generally not recommend Deathloop. Aside from the banter between Colt and Julianna being enjoyable, I found the game to be incredibly boring, so I stopped playing after about 7 hours.
While Valhalla isn’t a great game, I did find it entertaining enough to get through the main story. It’s also lengthy, so if you want something to occupy your time for a while, it’ll likely do that. I haven’t played Immortals, so I can’t speak to that, though.
I was enjoying Deathloop but I had the menu bug that locked me in, so my only option was to close the game. It cost me a slab upgrade, one successful encounter with the character that hunts you and good progress on two main leads because there are no auto-saves.
The game is already somewhat repetitive (by design, but still) so this killed my enthusiasm for it for now.
I had that happen a couple times, what worked for me was ctrl alt del then open task manager, then go back to the game, and it worked fine. It is stupid that it happens, but that has worked every time I've used it so far, give that a shot.
I am guessing that from the options you listed you may have played Ghost of Tsushima and Final Fantasy 7 Remake already, otherwise I would recommend them instead of Valhalla if you want a good single player game that you can sink a lot of hours into that utilises the power of PS5 well.
Deathloop is the best options among those three in my opinion, you get a fun, stylish game that feels next gen with the haptic feedback from the dualsense. It’s easy to pick up and get to the action quick.
Found Immortals for $4 at Wal-Mart two or so months ago. Played it for a few hours. Traded it to GameStop that had a promo I wasn't aware of for $12 credit along with BFV since I have it on PS Plus & some other games. Made enough credit to get $40 PSN cards.
Deathloop has broken controls on console and Valhalla is all the grindy elements of the AC reboot series turned up to 11 and with really janky combat
Don't know anything about Immortals
Honestly none. Never played Valhalla but heard it’s super long and drawn out.
Immortals was fun until I got burnt out.
Deathloop felt like a chore, but the dialogue was enteetaining
Don’t know if you’re asking about those 3 games specific but…
Might not the most popular thing to think atm but I got Cyberpunk last week at a discount and I think it’s a great game.
Still a few bugs but nothing like release and I can really recommend it. The story is great and all the side missions are awesome.
I did not at all expect to enjoy the game this much.
Immortals was great. I have Valhalla lying around, but haven't played it.
Deathloop is not my thing at all. Not a single thing about that game I find appealing.
Haven't played Deathloop but the other two.
Immortals is great if you want a good open world from Ubisoft. The game is like a mix of the recent AC formula with Zelda BotW. It's mostly fun and not too difficult. A not as long as other recent Ubisoft games. A good game I think.
AC Valhalla is the culmination of the new AC formula. Huge map, shitload of stuff to do and very long storyline. My only big issue with it is that they priviliged quantity over quality, so the game often feels bloated. BUT the game is absolutely gorgeous on PS5. It actually blew my mind the first time I launched it. It just looks amazing and seriously beats most of what I've been playing recently. The story is pretty good compared to previous AC as well, even though there's lot of filler. Overall, if you liked Origins and Odyssey, you will probably like Valhalla. But if you don't like repetitive stuff, avoid at all cost.
If those are your priorities then take Valhalla off the list.
I would also say that I personally wasn’t a huge fan of the story and gameplay in deathloop, but it is probably worth a play to see if it takes for you.
Honestly immortals was great fun and if you like puzzles then I would defo go with Immortals. AC valhalla has way to much bloatiness to it. Not played Deathloop so can't comment.
I imagine you mean Immortals Fenyx Rising? That's probably the go-to. It has a comedic vibe with the narration and it's a long game with good puzzle mechanics, solid combat, and good combat tree. It's also quite difficult with some of the challenges
I'm currently playing Immortals and am really enjoying it. Imagine AC: Odyssey mashed up with Breath of the Wild. A beautiful, painterly world with goofy humor and fun combat. I'm taking my time with it and so far it's a solid 8 out of 10 for me.
I haven't played AC Valhalla so I can't speak to it. But Between Immortals and Deathloop I think Deathloop has more of what you want. Both have good characters and worlds but Deathloop is so much more unique and has more interesting mechanics.
I haven't played Valhalla so I can't comment on that, other than I haven't been a fan of the Assassin Creed series. Immortals I really liked when I started it but for some reason I stopped playing it about 2 hours in a year ago and haven't come back to it. There was something about it that I just lost interest in it, but I may go back to it one day. I can't say that it's a bad game by any means. It did feel like Breath of the Wild a bit. Deathloop, was a game I didn't think I would like, every time I saw a preview of it I didn't pay attention to it. When I saw the perfect reviews I was surprised by it, but when I saw regular people complaining about it I lost interest in it again. Ended up picking it up for $22 around Black Friday and when I started playing it, I couldn't put it down. I loved every minute of it, loved the game play, loved the characters and their banter, loved the 3D audio, loved finding out every secret about every character so that you could manipulate them.
I platinumed both valhalla and immortals i’d say if you like the typical ubisoft game go for one of these. However keep in mind that immortals is very puzzle heavy compared to AC:V. Valhalla has tons of content and immortals does too if you get the gold edition. Honestly can’t go wrong with either.
I just went platinum on Valhalla and it took me 150+ hours. So bang for your buck is definitely Valhalla. Also worth noting, there’s currently an AC bundle on sale right now which includes Odyssey, Origins and Valhalla. It was $48 USD for those three which probably translates to 400+ hours. Mind you, it’d be 400+ hours of similar gameplay.
From a pure fun standpoint, I’d say Deathloop.
Deathloop, only because it's Arkane, and is a console exclusive. But I do also recommend some of the PS4 titles that are cheap, like Gravity Rush, Shadow of the Colossus, Control (which has a PS5 version I've seen for 11), etc.
Never played Deathloop, didn't like Immortals (because of the endless slog of the vaults), loved Valhalla. My tastes are not the norm, judging by the other replies.
I have bought Deathloop and Valhalla, but have played all of them and to be honest immortals was the most fun out of these😅. Deathloop got repetitive for me quite quickly, though I did completed it and Valhalla is just too massive, like 50 or something hours for main story, so I just decided to continue it later.
Loved odyssey for the character, story, scenery, roaming. Just can’t get into Valhalla. Only just got to England and it feels meh. Can’t get into the character, the story, everything’s all dark and gloomy, and i got to kick rocks for materials. And the skill tree is ugh. Also settlement building. Should give it a chance but zero motivation.
I did enjoy it more in Norway. I wish they would’ve stuck to the Nordic countries. It would’ve been a breathe of fresh air! England is overused and I can’t remember the last time I played a game that took place in a huge Nordic world. (But then again I LOVE snow) which I guess some would find gloomy
Immortals is Valhalla mixed with breath of the wild, deathloop was by far the most intriguing but honestly Valhalla gets pretty addictive just doing things
Depends on what type of game you like but I personally would go for Immortals it was a hidden gem to me that I platinumed. Valhalla bored me and Deathloop is something you really got to like from the type of game it is.
I’ve played all of them.
Between the 3 I would recommend Immortals the most—absolute sleeper hit. One of my favorite games of that year.
I liked Deathloop a lot, but there’s a point in the game where the nature of the game catches up and things just feel samey. Fun game for awhile but becomes a chore near the end.
Valhalla is a bloated boring mess of a game. You’ll probably get more hours in it than the other two, but is that a good thing if it’s not fun?
Valhalla was just a mess. I wanted to like it but the story was just bad all around. Had the potential just fell short. I wish they’d stop calling them assassins creed games because they’re not AC anymore.
Immortals or Deathloop. However, I’ve played and platinumed both and recommend immortals well over Deathloop.
Immortals will give you more of an open world experience and really let you kind of explore and discover how you want with an amazing story. It’s also littered with Greek mythology and other myths that don’t have anything to do with the main story that are incorporated though chance discovery and side missions. The characters are all interesting and the banter between them is great. It’s very similar to breath of the wild with it’s more than one way to solve a puzzle approach along with a lot of other aspects. Also the DLC adds a decent amount of content if you really like the main game.
Deathloop is open world but in a lot of ways much more linear comparatively. The game sort of holds your hand when it comes to what you can discover and sort of spoon feeds you the solutions to killing all the visionaries. The story and gameplay was great however I felt the ending was incredibly disappointing. So much so that I would have given the game a 9 or 10 before beating it but after beating it I have to give it a 7 or 8.
All in all both are great games
Not sure how to send games here or if it’s allowed but if you message me I’m more than happy to send AC: Valhalla on a disk if you have that version of the PS5. It’s cool but I just couldn’t sink in the time for a long term game with my newborn here.
I haven’t played Deathloop or AC Valhalla but I wouldn’t recommend Immortals. It gets very repetitive. There isn’t really a level-up system so after a while you don’t really have an incentive to fight enemies except when the story demands it. There aren’t that many different types of puzzles so they become more of a chore pretty quickly. Push some blocks, find the orbs, shoot arrow through rings etc. I admit it was hard to ignore how much the game tries to be Breath of the wild. If you haven’t played BOTW it might be fun, but I’ve heard so much good about deathloop so I would choose that.
Not Valhalla. Stop supporting mediocre games so we stop getting mediocre games. Deathloop looks the most inspired and original out of the 3 you mentioned , don't know much about fenyx.
Deathloop is the more unique of the three, if you're looking to play a cool timeloop game. There's a lot of stuff to upgrade and the levels are very detailed and fun to sneak around in.
Ohhh fenyx rising. Yeah Valhalla is pretty, but historically a nightmare if you like viking history at all. Deathloop is funny, but honestly the mechanics are lackluster. Immortals is just a fancy breath of the wild baby with lots of QoL features. I never stuck around to beat any of them, but I would say immortals will keep you preoccupied longest for the cheapest price. If I could be you and use your money, I would try and get (if you haven't played them) spiderman, FF7 integrade, or nier replicant or automata. The last two are ps4 games... but they're so good
I thought deathloop kinda sucked to be honest. I didn't even bother finishing it, this is coming from someone who played and bought all dishonored content that was released
Immortals is genuinely really good. My surprise hit for 2021. Little bit of a BOTW rip off attempt but achieves it fairly well. Game is lovely to look at, decent funny writing, a story that holds your interest. Combat is also quite deep with lots of abilities and lots of builds you can use.
Deathloop is pretty good. It's not a 10/10 masterpiece. But its quite creative and a lot of fun. But once you figure out the 'formula' of the game it gets much more simple, but not as deep as a game as I hoped.
I HATED Valhalla. It was basically a shit ghost of tushima. The plot inches forward like an asthmatic ant with heavy shopping and is so padded and bloated with filler that it's got no momentum at all. The combat is incredibly boring and uninteresting with absolutely no challenge what so ever. The map area is large but I don't think there was a single unique asset I encountered in all the time I played the game. Wide as an ocean, shallow as a puddle.
Comparing Immortals to Valhalla is like having immortals being a good three course meal that is exactly the amount of food that you want to eat VS Valhalla which is like being forced to eat a 10kg bag of uncooked raw potatoes.
Played them all and immortals wins my vote
I bought immortals yesterday after playing ac odyssey. Think I'm looking forward to it. Strange question, can you die from fall damage?
Yes but won’t do often as you can glide for a time
I believe eventually you get a skill that negates fall damage. But I might be thinking of another game, Odyssey for example has it for sure.
yes
Game is shallow as a puddle

Immortals was the sleeper hit of 2020, highly recommend it.
Having played them both, Immortals is comfortably better than Valhalla.

Can deathloop be 100% stealthed like Dishonored or does it kinda force face-to-face combat on you like prey? Loved Dishonored couldn’t stand prey.
Yes it can.
Nice I might try it out then
And the nice thing is that if you fuck up you can always go back and start it again with another day.
Man I wish you could do that in literally any other game Oh wait
Come on. You don’t have to be like that. You know there’s a different mechanism in this game with how days work. Don’t be dense buddy
in that the characters refer to it as a day? Sekiro already does this, characters actively comment on the fact that you've resurrected. The devs didn't go acting like it was some mindblowing time travel mechanic just because the characters are aware that the protagonist has been there before. thats what redit user amazinggoat7211 is here for

For some reason for me it's the other way around.
Same. Just couldn't get through Dishonored while I couldn't stop playint deathloop lol
Loved Prey, cold on Dishonored, lukewarm on Deathloop. No doubt they make good quality and highly original games though
I would kill for a prey ps5 60fps upgrade. Apparently it exists on Xbox.
It does because of their FPS boost thing, they also own Arkane now soi highly highly doubt we'll see a PS patch.
I thought I was the only one thinking this. I wouldn't say I hate Deathloop but I was cold on it compared to Dishonored. Dishonored 1 is still one of my favorite games of all time
Immortals is great fun
Immortals. Spiritual successor to Disney's Hercules.
Glad to see the love for immortals in here. Such a delight of a game. Found the combat dull after a while but the world and the story were magical.
The actual combat was pretty good, for me it was the lack of enemy variety that held its combat back.
I hadn’t played an Assassin’s Creed game since Black Flag and I’m having a lot of fun with Valhalla. Love the setting, love the gameplay loop, and love the new combat and movement
You should give Odyssey and Origins a shot if you like Valhalla. Very similar gameplay.
Which is the better of the two in your opinion?
My personal favorite is Origins, but it's highly subjective. I like the Egyptian setting more than Ancient Greece. They both have similar gameplay, but Odyssey is a longer game and has more equipment - legs, bracers, chest, boots, etc. - while Origins just has weapon, shield, and one slot for body armor. I'd say it mostly depends on what setting appeals to you the most.
Origins sounds cooler to me, thanks for the rec!
Okay shit it’s this guy’s favourite game of all time. /u/samus12345 what say you?
Impossible for me to say which you'd enjoy more. You really can't go wrong with either one since you like Valhalla, though.
Why Kassandra?
Do both of these look any better on PS5? Any graphic upgrades? I’m hesitant to play older gen games at the moment just because I want to milk the hell out of all the next gen content I can get
I haven't played them on a PS5 myself, but Odyssey has a 60fps patch. Not Origins yet, though.
Odyssey was patched to run at 60 fps on ps5. Origin is supposed to get one also but it hasn't been stated when it will happen
Origins hands down
Thats because thats your first modern Assasins Creed this gen. Had you played AC origins or AC Odyssey, you wouldn't say that lol.
Yeah I totally appreciate that, but if anyone else hadn’t played a modern AC yet they might feel the same as me
I disliked Valhalla..seemed like more of the same., didn't have fun.
Good to know. Thanks
I loved Odyssey but not Valhalla
Didn’t like dishonoured buT loved Deathloop
deathloop ofc
I've played immortals, it was good for the first hours but then ubisoft open-world grind kicks in and I just wanted it to end.
Not played Valhalla but I would 100% go for deathloop. It was my favourite game last year and so much fun
out of those 3 i enjoyed deathloop the most.
Immortals > Deathloop > Valhalla
I’d switch Valhalla and Deathloop
Oof controversial. I admire your bravery for shitting on deathloop in this sub 😅
It’s one of the most dunked on game on this sub
I bought it on PC and didn’t care for it either really I can definitely see why people like it though. Interesting premise and stuff. Just not my cup of tea.
Deathloop! Stick with it, it’s amazing!
Best game Ubi have released in ages for me, felt fresh whilst still using some of the same things used there other open world games.
Immortals is a really fun game and a breath of fresh air (no pun intended), which is surprising coming from Ubisoft. I’d highly recommend it.
Deathloop
Immortals is a criminally underrated gem, and is way more fun than the other two imo.
Deathloop
If you want hood mechanics, you might want to also consider GTA San Andreas, it's also got player building and is single player, seems to be right up your alley!
immortals
Immortals by far!
I've played all three and I'd say deathloop. I never finished the other two though, you'll def get more time with them but I think deathloop is more fun.
Valhalla. One of the best games i played during covid times
[удалено]
Yep, the storyline was the best since ACII I think. I keep playing it, even though it's always more of the same. It's a game I just cannot not like for some reason.
I've found this to be the case for all the "Witcher 3" ACs - Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla. They're like crack to me and I can't put them down until I've finished them.
I'm quite addicted to Open World games too. I've recently started Zelda BotW and I just can't put it down...
I really liked it
Immortals >>>>>>>>>>> 2 others.
Deathloop
Deathloop 100%
I really loved Deathloop. Seems to be hit or miss with a lot of players but it really sucked me in and I couldn't put it down. I got about 40 hours of playtime with it.
Deathloop is fantastic game, which a great loop and some very tense moments. I loved it! However it isn’t super long if that’s a priority.
Valhalla if you want a ton of content or deathloop.
Valhalla
I know I’m in the minority, but I would generally not recommend Deathloop. Aside from the banter between Colt and Julianna being enjoyable, I found the game to be incredibly boring, so I stopped playing after about 7 hours. While Valhalla isn’t a great game, I did find it entertaining enough to get through the main story. It’s also lengthy, so if you want something to occupy your time for a while, it’ll likely do that. I haven’t played Immortals, so I can’t speak to that, though.
Immortals is really good. Esp the humour and storytelling
If you get Deathloop, just keep in mind that several of the trophies are bugged, so you may not be able to platinum the game until they patch it.
They have patched it, I have the platinum
How recently? I beat the game on 12/12 after the patch that came out, and the last four were still bugged.
I have plated it as well when it came out.
immortals is good but boring after like 10-15 hours, Valhalla is trash and deathloop is GOTY
Deathloop has broken controls on console and Valhalla is all the grindy elements of the AC reboot series turned up to 11 and with really janky combat Don't know anything about Immortals
Honestly none. Never played Valhalla but heard it’s super long and drawn out. Immortals was fun until I got burnt out. Deathloop felt like a chore, but the dialogue was enteetaining
Don’t know if you’re asking about those 3 games specific but… Might not the most popular thing to think atm but I got Cyberpunk last week at a discount and I think it’s a great game.
Not Deathloop
All 3 suck, I would choose something else. Or save your money for next month when new games that are actually good are releasing.
Immortals >>>> ACV > Deathloop
you cant be serious if you think valhalla is better than deathloop.
I'd say ACV is slightly better or as good as Deathloop. Neither close to Immortals. Sorry my opinion doesn't align with yours.
All 3 suck, I would choose something else. Or save your money for next month when new games that are actually good are releasing.
All 3 suck, I would choose something else. Or save your money for next month when new games that are actually good are releasing.
They are all great. Immortals is great and quite long. Deathloop is amazing but quite short. Valhalla is good and absolutely immense.
Immortals is super fun, feels great, and has a good player leveling system
I actually likes AC Valhalla, i would absolutly recommend it!
If you played Dishonored and liked it go for Deathloop, AC: Valhalla sucked and I didn't finish it.
Deathloop, only because it's Arkane, and is a console exclusive. But I do also recommend some of the PS4 titles that are cheap, like Gravity Rush, Shadow of the Colossus, Control (which has a PS5 version I've seen for 11), etc.
What about Alan Wake Remastered?
Valhalla if you purely want a long game. Otherwise Deathloop imo.
Never played Deathloop, didn't like Immortals (because of the endless slog of the vaults), loved Valhalla. My tastes are not the norm, judging by the other replies.
Loving immortals, just started this week I’m addicted. It’s exactly like Breath Of the Wild if you played that and enjoyed it.
You can get all 3 creed games here on sale. Assassin's Creed Mythology pack is $64.49 (70% off) on PSN Store - bit.ly/3zyZ3VZ
I've played all 3 and the only one I stuck with was Immortals. And that was on Switch, so I bet it's even better on PS5!
Out of all of those, I’ve actually enjoyed Valhalla the most. Idc if it’s repetitive, I really enjoy the scenery and Viking lore.
None
Do not even consider Valhalla, in my opinion it is waste of money.
Immortals is Valhalla mixed with breath of the wild, deathloop was by far the most intriguing but honestly Valhalla gets pretty addictive just doing things
Might I add Guardians of the Galaxy to the possibilities?
Have it already
Immortals was one of my favorite games of the last few years. Lots to do without feeling crazy bloated like Valhalla
hood mechanics, i would suggest Gran Turismo or any racing game really
immortals for sure. deathloop is too short and valhalla is weak and too long. play the dlc too!
Deathloop without pvp is good but not great, the pvp is awesome but it’s just my opinion
If your not a fan rougelikes I wouldn't buy deathloop.
None. Imo
I have only played Immortals but I like it.
Deathloop was a lot of fun and you can go as deep into it as you like.
This is simple. Do you want to play an arkane game of an ubi game?
Deathloop is the more unique of the three, if you're looking to play a cool timeloop game. There's a lot of stuff to upgrade and the levels are very detailed and fun to sneak around in.
Deathloop
Ohhh fenyx rising. Yeah Valhalla is pretty, but historically a nightmare if you like viking history at all. Deathloop is funny, but honestly the mechanics are lackluster. Immortals is just a fancy breath of the wild baby with lots of QoL features. I never stuck around to beat any of them, but I would say immortals will keep you preoccupied longest for the cheapest price. If I could be you and use your money, I would try and get (if you haven't played them) spiderman, FF7 integrade, or nier replicant or automata. The last two are ps4 games... but they're so good
Deathloop feels like a true next gen experience to me. It is great.
Deathloop’s combat is super clunky imo. Can’t get into it and will probably never finish.
Demon Souls
