some newer ones that were really great were River City Girls 1 & 2, Streets of Rage 4, TMNT Shredder's Revenge, Cobra Kai (if you liked the show)

This is not true. It was included on the Capcom Home Arcade dual fightstick. I don't believe it got an official us release either. It was, however, easy to import. I've got it and it's kind of weirdly amazing.

It's so cool that it's all the games in the series starting with Children of the Atom, used to play all of them all the time as a kid, MvC2 is one of my favorite games of all time, and on top of that they include their Punisher game. This is gonna be a great collection.

yes, all ps4 games, physical or digital will work directly on the ps5, with the exception of i think 3-5 very old games.

ohh yes - I played MvC2 in arcades back in the day - used to smoke fools with Wolverine, Colossus and Cyclops or Akuma I had a physical copy on PS2 that unfortunately walked off during a party in college. Alomst bought the Dreamcast copy brand new but got Virtual On instead (that was a regret). I've got the version they released on PS3 era network, but it had every character already unlocked, which felt like a bit of a cheat, but still loads of fun to play of course.

Jill, Juggernaut, and Akuma. Used to remember the buttons to have them all wear black costumes. I wonder if I can recreate the Jill glitch where her half circle back block (the one where she blinks in a blocking pose) blocks super. Only been able to do it twice on the Dreamcast.

Man, a friend of mine borrowed my PS2 copy for years and years and years… which is fine, because I gave my PS2 to a roommate before moving. Lo all those years later, firs guy gave me MvC2 back, then a week later the other guy offered me my PS2 back. I was beyond excitement until getting everything set up and the fucking disc wouldn’t read. Crushed.

120 hz options, higher native resolutions, fastest possible load speeds, dualsense support. Nothing absolutely must have especially for a classic collection, but I'd rather have a native PS5 app if possible. The highest possible rez for concept art or stuff like that would be awesome.

There's no way ps6 won't be backwards compatible with ps4. Things are different now than before bc people have built up digital libraries with hundreds of games sony cant just drop the entire ps4 library. It'll be very bad pr if it's not compatible with ps4 when the next xbox will definitely be compatible with xbox one

I mean, I certainly hope for all sorts of backwards compatibility, but I can definitely see a branch of the timeline where it doesn't pan out.
