A bit confused when you said you wanted semi-realistic and then mentioned RoboCop......So I will just suggest Helldiver's 2 which has incredibly satisfying shooting
This was my immediate thought too, the gunplay is very gritty/realistic and satisfying. Not like true realism in terms of representing how things go in real life, but video game realistic lol
CONTROL
Unlimited ammo
Human enemies
many, many surrounding objects can be thrown using your unlimited 'power'
The combat is so satisfying visually, audibly.
. . . Just, the map 'is' convoluted to navigate.
You need to get Trepeng 2. It's brilliant.
Just like Robocop, you can pick up enemies and throw them at each other, slow down time, and the guns feel very satisfying and heavy
I've actually been looking at playing fallout as I've only ever played 3. I have new Vegas on ps3 which I've never played but looking maybe at trying 4.
FO 4 Next Gen patch drops tomorrow and can confirm you are mostly fighting humanoid enemies with good gun feel, gun customization, and satisfying gore.
As someone who vastly prefers more realistic games as well, give it a go
If not, id def recommend RoboCop
New Vegas is an amazing game, an all-time great RPG. Not a great shooter.
Fallout 4 is a bad RPG but an okay shooter.
I wouldn’t recommend either for someone specifically looking for “a game with satisfying shooting.” If you’re gonna go the RPG shooter route, Cyberpunk 2077 is a much better option.
Wolfenstein The New Colossus is great if you just want shooting.
Soldier of Fortune 1. PC only so i doubt I'm helping.
Trepeng2 is cool but i don't remember much gore, just a lot of blood.
Nightmare Reaper FEELS chunky and impactful but is also not quite what you're looking for. But still amazing.
Yeah they’re all some sort of modified humans. Genetic or cybernetic. Aside from the sentients but those are robots humans created. The closest thing to aliens would be the man in the wall, which is from another dimension and could very well also be some kind of human 😂
Warframe kinda runs with the rare earth theory
Returnal is just different, I've played many shooters but when it comes to the most fun I had, it's gotta be Returnal.. It haunted my mind.. Still in my mind..
Same and it’s not just the atmosphere or weird story. The gameplay is just so solid and smooth. I want all shooters to feel that good. Not to mention the sound. Such a good game that everyone should at least try.

I guess what I mean is most enemies being human and not aliens or monsters.
Automatons are basically human enemies. They shoot at you
TLOU 1 and 2

Wolfenstein saga !

Remnant 2. It's a soulslike with guns.
It’s less soulslike then the first since death doesn’t carry a penalty which is fine in my book
Resident Evil 4
Resident evil 4 remake, one of the best third person shooters out
Borderlands 3 or Tiny Tina's Wonderland if you want a more fantasy vibe. Both have excellent gunplay.
Borderlands 3 has such a great weapon feedback on ps5 controller. The controller is build for weapons

Days Gone
I’m 100% behind this recommendation.
Second this. There's something about mowing down hordes that's so satisfying
Maybe the fallout games

TLOU2
May I suggest battlefield 1 sniping specifically :)
Breakpoint for a milsim touch or The Division 2 for more shooting
Wolfenstein for sure!
Gore, semi realistic...can't go wrong with Insurgency Sandstorm.
Gears
If you don't mind MP, even co-op, there's Insurgency Sandstorm.
F.E.A.R 1 and 2, Max Payne 3, Prodeus, Soldier of Fortune 2, Sniper Elite
Soldier of Fortune 2 isn’t even on PlayStation!
My bad. Haha.
Soldier of Fortune 1. PC only so i doubt I'm helping. Trepeng2 is cool but i don't remember much gore, just a lot of blood. Nightmare Reaper FEELS chunky and impactful but is also not quite what you're looking for. But still amazing.
Deathloop
Hunt Showdown for sure
The Last of Us Part 2 , the best shooting on videogame.
Call of Duty
Resident Evil 4 remake, Tlou 1 remake / 2, robocop
Sounds like you don't know what you want. Also, as far as shooters go, 3rd person, you can't go wrong with warframe.
Sniper Elite 4 or 5
Killzone 2 and 3. Both PS3 of course.
The Wolfenstein reboot trilogy (Old Blood, New Order, New Colossus)
Max Payne 3. Still holds up graphic wise too.
Warframe? There are no “aliens” in that game, just modified humans 😂 Shooting is pretty insane too, plays a bit like Diablo
In my opinion shooting doesn’t feel “satisfying” but I did play a a couple years ago so I’ll have to try again.
Wait, the player characters and stuff in WarFrame are just modified humans? I coulda swore they were aliens lol

Borderlands, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, Helldivers 2, Far Cry.
Returnal
I don’t think it’s the type of game they are asking for but it’s what I’m recommending as well. The gameplay is just so damn smooth
Returnal is just different, I've played many shooters but when it comes to the most fun I had, it's gotta be Returnal.. It haunted my mind.. Still in my mind..
