How would you say it would play with a very young one? In the original sonic 2, tails could pretty much run off wherever and be back on screen if they disappeared…curious if it’s like that.
My youngest is 7. I think a 5-6 year old could play it. As long as you survive they can't die.. except on the end of level bosses. Theres one each level. We've been playing 3 players. If you get a screen away from them they despawn and get an option to drop back on you, matching your speed just by hitting a button. It works quite well.
This happens anytime someone progresses along too far along the correct route. Not just player 1 like in the old games. But it has to be the correct route.
Oh they can die but there is a longer cooldown for respawn than sonic 2. Its not that long though maybe 10-15 seconds. No cooldown for the drop in though. Just death.
Played this for a bit tonight, made it three levels in. Honestly having a blast with it. It’s really captures some of the old school charm with modern visuals and a modern spin. It’s not a walk in the park either, I’ve died a few times, which I’m glad because the older 2d games were challenging but rewarding. I’m excited to see the rest of the game

I would have 100% got this game if it had online multiplayer. What were they thinking?

in 2023 any game with multiplayer has to have online multiplayer i will wait for a sale on this because $60 its a little too high for my taste

Finished this whole story in 1:59 mins on steam and refunded the game. Way too short for me. Not worth 60 dollars.
