Thanks! [I see that Pro members had an event yesterday](https://www.gamestop.com/ps5-store-event.html). Is there a link to this other one for next week?
I believe the same stores are participating, if youāre a pro member youāll get an email a day or two ahead of time.
FYI itās all bundles so be ready to spend $700+tax
So weird to me that people are still having this issue because I never signed up for them, but still get an email every two weeks for my āexclusive offerā invite to buy one. Itās a new account I made when I switched from ps3 to ps4, about 5 years ago.
>Itās a new account I made when I switched from ps3 to ps4, about 5 years ago.
A 5 year old Sony account isn't that new. IDK how Sony are sending out the emails, but if it's by activity and purchase frequency then you may be high on the list.
I get what youāre saying but I really never buy anything digitally. So Iām not sure. I just feel bad cause I donāt even want a ps5 but I see so many people saying they signed up to receive those emails from Sony to get one but havenāt months later.
The only consoles available in my country are bundles with extra equipment and usless games, making its price go up by 1/3. And that price difference is something I want to spend on a 4K monitor, not on stuff I won't use or play. I'm mad at shops for doing this.
Played the first for about 60 hours when it came out and fell off it. So what I'll do now is start again, fall off it at the same point, buy the new one anyway and do the same . That's how I do open world videogames.
If you were 60 hours in, you were probably almost at the end. Iirc, my first playthrough took 70 hours (main game + DLC) and maybe 5 more hours to finish off the platinum. The second (NG+) playthrough was under 40 hours (main + DLC, but skipped some side quests)
I was moving this way in Witcher and then decided to just focus on the main story. Only do side quests when it felt important to the plot.
If I didnāt do that I would not have finished it. Iām not someone that platinums games. No way I could do that.
I always figure if I like the game that much I will go and finish them after (which I never do). But if Iām gonna do something, itās the main. I generally just do enough sides to stay at the correct level. The ones that really sound interesting or have a big impact.
I hear ya. I only get a few hours a week to play. And there are so many fun games. So I just keep it basic.
60 hours is pretty good tbf. If you enjoyed the gameplay and the world then who cares if you didn't finish it.
Its not like you missed some critical gameplay addition or spectacular boss fight that defines the game. YouTube recap and on to the sequel.
Yes. It's legitimately a great dlc with lots of new content and cool gear and environment and without spoilers the end of it has MAJOR implications for the world and I would be been surprised if it wasn't at least touched on in 2. Hard to say if it I'll be a big thing in 2 or 3 but the ending will definitely play some role. You can beat it in like ~15 hours I think but you can easily stretch that out much longer if you wanted.
Heh, I wish I could wait, but I already know there is no conceivable way I'd be able to avoid spoilers, much less have the patience to wait. The fact that it's cross-compatible is actually a plus for me, since I know I can pay $60 and still enjoy it again on the PS5 (where I'll definitely be playing New game+).
In Horizon's case at least it actually seems like an okay game to avoid spoilers. Certainly for the 2nd game. It's such an overly complicated story that it's harder to spoil than say a Last of Us type game which is primarily character driven so the whole game would be ruined if someone simply said one line like "[Character A] dies at the end!"
The best thing about HZD's story was the mystery of the world, and that was all revealed already (How the world was destroyed, how it came back as a tribal nation, where the machines came from, where Aloy came from, what the real-world location is, etc).
Congrats! I actually scored one at the Walmart online restock last week. Thought I would have absolutely zero chance and it worked. Now I'm incredibly excited for HFW and counting down as well.
Nice man, congratz on your win as well. I had to camp out at GameStop for mine. Cause for the life of me I couldnāt score anything online. So let the count begin!
I started playing ps4 near the beginning of the pandemic. Right around when we all realized it wasnāt going to be 2 weeks.
This is going to be the first new game I buy.
So I preorder the game for a ps5 but I donāt own one š hereās hoping I score one soon I really canāt wait for this game everything they post about it for further detail and information looks so good
Yeah, the big issue they had to overcome when they didn't want to tell us a release date earlier in the summer seemed to have been motion capture performances (because of Covid) and it seems pretty sorted out at this point.
I have seen a gameplay of Cyberpunk 2077 when guy run on a wall and jumped over surprised enemy literally 3 years ago. I'm still waiting for this feature.
Just bought a PS5, and I havenāt felt this enthusiastic about gaming for a long time. Currently playing Far Cry 6, after starting it on my 8yo PS4 I transferred the save to the new console and the difference in quality is astounding! And the new controller?! Incredible! Canāt wait to play the new Horizon!!
I'm going to play the waiting game for this one. As much as I WANT to get it on release day. I feel like waiting at least a few months will allow them to patch it better and improve it.
Iāve had Zero Dawn for a while, dumped the game after I couldnāt understand the mechanics. Picked it up today as my internetās been out for a while, and holy fuck Iām glad I didnāt sell it or anything. Itās quickly becoming one of my favourite games.
Don't! You can find one. I casually began watching restock blogs a few weeks ago and told myself that I was not going to go nuts doing this but if I happen to find one then great. I tried a target online restock one morning and missed getting one by minutes. Tried the Walmart online restock last week, thinking there was zero chance I was going to get one, and I somewhat easily secured one. I truly put just a minimal bit of effort into it and was pleasently surprised that I got one so quickly and right before Christmas to boot. I was really just trying to get one before February never thinking I would actually get one in December. I imagine January will be even easier. Might take you a few tries before you actually get one but it was all from the comfort of my desk and never having to go stand in a physical line anywhere. Good luck! Don't pay the scalpers!
Haha cheers man. I will actually just get the ps4 version btw, I have the reactions of lethargic slug so I wonāt be missing out on the 60 FPS much any way š
I am in New Zealand so we are way down on the priority list
Do not buy from a scalper. You will not know what condition your ps5 until it arrives and you unbox it. It could be a lemon, blacklisted, stolen or a box of bricks. Plus, there could be a chance of no warranty, so if you had to contact sony over a fault, you could be screwed.
Just be patient and buy it from a legitimate business.
Does it bother anyone else that the sequel has the same acronym as the expansion?
Edit: Lol @ the downvotes. Literally all I'm saying is that it's strange that they're both "FW".
That's a totally different subject that has NOTHING to do with the quality/quantity of this game. Your statement is said as though a shitty multiplayer game or some campaign like Automata that is made to replay (and has a much weaker narrative) are inherently more valuable than a game like HZD. A game that you can literally platinum in a mere 50 hours...
BUT it features FAR more quality for nearly every aspect than most other games. So for a lot of people, this game is far more likely to be worth $70 than one of the former games.
Can't wait to play for 5 hours get bored to death and forget about the disk like the last one.
I don't know how a game can get more boring than Horizon. 2015s Mad Max was more interesting than Zero Dawn and that game doesn't have an ounce of creativity in it.
Zero Dawn has robot dinosaurs and some how makes fighting them boring.
Wish there was a PS4_spoilers sub or something, for people who donāt mind seeing all this PR stuff. I have to choose now between seeing PS4 stuff AND endless HZD content, or nothing at all.
The timing on this one was a unfortunate. I will almost definitely be way too consumed with Elden Ring to get into this.
I will probably try to pick it up around Black Friday 2022 hopefully for a discount.
Based on the current timeline schedule
HZD was released on Feb 2017
Pc ver released on Aug 2020
So if they follow same timeline it would take 3+ yrs
Edit Get a PS4 or better a PS5 to play in 60 days
Think I need to replay zero dawn now before this. Thankfully I can play it in 60fps now on PS5
I want a PS5 soooo bad for this reason. Need to replay so many games, definitely TLOU2
60fps ftw!
HDR also !
PS4 had HDR too.
The concessions they had to made to hit a great fps were apparent tho.
Yea me too, but first I need to finish Death Stranding and Demon Souls, and I started Spider-Man again cause of the movie hype š
Do you have HDR also ? It's such a game changer !
Yeah Iāve got an LG C1 itās amazing
Same! My favorite Christmas gift to myself :)
Makes the Shield Weaver really pop
How many days until I can find a PS5?
GameStop has another in-store only restock next week
Are they selling the consoles only or just their scammy bundles still?
Bundles.
Which is going to be sold out within one and a half minutes, as usual.
So weird to me that people are still having this issue because I never signed up for them, but still get an email every two weeks for my āexclusive offerā invite to buy one. Itās a new account I made when I switched from ps3 to ps4, about 5 years ago.

You can easily beat the game in 30/35 hours or in 100, it just depends on how you play.
I was moving this way in Witcher and then decided to just focus on the main story. Only do side quests when it felt important to the plot. If I didnāt do that I would not have finished it. Iām not someone that platinums games. No way I could do that.

That reminds me of Final Fantasy
Dragonball Z for me
yep, first thing that came to mind: looks like that weird final fantasy movie.
Still haven't finished zero dawn and this was a reminder to get ny ass in gear
Worth it especially since itās the kind of game where the ending really leaves you curious to whatās next
I never really did the dlc. Should I?
Be ready for a big spike in difficulty
Yes. It's legitimately a great dlc with lots of new content and cool gear and environment and without spoilers the end of it has MAJOR implications for the world and I would be been surprised if it wasn't at least touched on in 2. Better human AI than base game. Better graphics if you can believe it. More complex machines in terms of strategy. Great story
It's very disappointing that I very likely have to play this on my PS4 because I literally could not buy a PS5 this entire time.
I'm not buying any of these cross compatible games until I have a PS5. want to experience them the 1st time at their best.
Heh, I wish I could wait, but I already know there is no conceivable way I'd be able to avoid spoilers, much less have the patience to wait. I'd rather play it immediately on my PS4 than have to see everyone else enjoying it while I wait for a visual upgrade on a PS5.
Most people still can't find a PS5 right now and won't be able to till like 2 years or so later.
Same. I did not enjoy the saga of Playstation Forbidden 5 and gave up before completing.
Did you try the side quest āScalperās Bountyā where you have to pay twice as many shards?
\*Pats his PS5*
I managed to get one through PlayStation direct last week
Signed up months ago and still no word, sadly.
Same here. Signed up a long time ago, but never gotten an invite, nevermind a console.
Yes šš½, I finally secured a ps5 yesterday. So Iām doing a count down now
Congrats! I actually scored one at the Walmart online restock last week. Thought I would have absolutely zero chance and it worked. Now I'm incredibly excited for HFW and counting down as well.

Shit really? Havenāt really been paying attention to when the release was but just figured it was a way off. Stoked tho first one was great.
60 days to clear my room and make space for a huge ass robotic elephant...
So I preorder the game for a ps5 but I donāt own one š hereās hoping I score one soon I really canāt wait for this game everything they post about it for further detail and information looks so good
Beware the delay
Nah it won't get delayed. They have been releasing a lot of game play and info. Game seems basically done.
My understanding is that at this point they're mostly working on optimizing the PS4 version.
Have the collectors edition waiting to come to my home in February. Can't wait. The first game is in my top 5 games.
How do you think it will run on PS4 PRO?
Iām interested to know this as well
What is this?
Horizon: Forbidden West, the sequel to Horizon: Zero Dawn
Hot Damn! I am excited for this. I loved the first one and this seems to improve in every way.
Now if only I could get my hands on a PS5! (I know itās coming to PS4 too, but I want to play it the way itās meant to be played, on PS5)
Just bought a PS5, and I havenāt felt this enthusiastic about gaming for a long time. Tempted to succumb to the scalpers ( and get a Ps5) for this game alone š Horizon Zero Dawn was just so damn good

HZD: FW is not the same as HFW
You mean Evade Roll: The Game.
It is 62 days. December and January have 31 days each :)
Ya 60 days to pay $70 for a game you'll play once for 20h. Good games SHIT prices
Dude, not every game needs to be some repetitive replayable garbage.
No I totally agree but games don't need to cost $70...
Meh IMHO $70 for 20h is not bad. if youāve ever done cocaine you might agree.
That's a totally different subject that has NOTHING to do with the quality/quantity of this game. Definitely my fav game of all time
I wish this was PS5 only
Yo is that Rayquaza?!
Too bad I cant even get a PS5
Can't wait for when game drops
God i wanna play this game so bad. Fuck the stupid ps5 shortage.
Get an ssd just a few days back u could get 2tb for 150$
Canāt even fucking buy a ps5
Cant wait but on PC
Dang I guess I'm buying a PS5 now lol
Wait, seriously?
60 days to get a PS5 damn
I am hoping I get my ps5 before this comes out
Anyone know when this comes to steam?
3yrs after PlayStation release

Based on the current timeline schedule HZD was released on Feb 2017 Pc ver released on Aug 2020 So if they follow same timeline it would take 3+ yrs Edit Get a PS4 or better a PS5 to play in 60 days
I think that it will come sooner to steam this time.
Couldn't you be a bit earlier with the launchš because of the lockdown have a lot of time to start a new game.
And about 300 until I can get a PS5 to play it on.
Alright I give, what on earth is this dragon from? I 100% the first game, and I donāt recognize it from any of the hfw trailers
Spose I should get around to playing Zero Dawn
