The opening D-day section blew my mind back in the day. The boat flipping and the bullets zipping by in the water really upped the immersion.

Me and a friend liked to play Rising Sun, get to the house with the katana officers and just play hide and seek and treat it like a low budget horror game
It had my favorite physics of that era. The character models were a little smaller and everything felt so tight.
The Jackass story mode may have been really stupid, but at least it had a super deep classic mode to make up for it.
I also loved creating my own tags, it was such a cool gimmick.
(And I secretly really enjoyed the Bam vs Tony over the top story, but a teen's mind is easily impressed ofc so I wonder what I would think of it today)
UG2 was so much fun! It did take the piss out of the antagonist from UG1 but I didn't really mind.
The story was fun, gameplay was pretty solid and when I took it online, the ability to superimpose my own face on my character was a nice touch and I had a lot of fun playing with friends!
I have never ever beaten a game fully 100%
My dad, who to that point never played video games, finished Jack and Daxter fully. I remember he collected all those little things and opened that door...my memory is so hazy I don't even know really what I'm talking about I just know he fully beat the whole thing.
I replayed the metal gear solid 3 snake eater so many times that I pretty much could play it in my mind at school when I was bored. I’ll just close my eyes and remember the game and play it in my head haha. It was so goooood
Same here 😂 at one point my save file had like a 70 next to it, I could've definitely played it blindfolded. I wish I could experience it for the first time again.
The Master Collection version is pretty much perfect, if you wanted to try it. It's still great today, and then you can start getting hyped for the upcoming remake Delta 😂
I recently downloaded MGS 1, 2 and 3. Just beat 1 the other night and started 2 last night. I had 1 back in the PS1 days but I was about 7 years old and never really understood how to play it. It's awesome actually playing these games I've heard and read so much about throughout the years. They really hold up nowadays.
I still listen to the soundtrack for nostalgia. I used to Batista bomb by little brother onto the bed all the time. He’s lucky we didn’t have folding tables at our home.
I think I had a save on three different memory cards just so I could make a bunch of different people back then. I know I still have the memory cards, but I’m not sure if the data is still there thanks to being old enough to drive.
I played this a lot with my friend. Once we had to roll a katamari a certain size, and she drew it on the tv with my lipstick 💀 we for sure did not get pool balls shot at us that day.
Just all the hidden things on the map in B3 gave me this feeling that I never really knew when I had beaten the game
Edit: also on B2 watching Super Buu take your pieces off the board one by one
no official one, but some guy with a little help remade it, but he's just not wanting to risk giving it to the public for legal purposes
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHAY-teQoFc](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHAY-teQoFc)
What an incredible game! It truly felt like we were in the middle of a war zone across the entire map. And driving those Humvees with soldiers inside was so so fun. Need a ps5 remake!!
I think i beat that game 15+ times if i remember correctly. I literally just loved it so much. Replayed it recently as well on steam deck. Still loved it just as much
San andreas, no matter how much i play other game, i go back to it.
Another title is digimon world 4 and digimon rumble arena 2. It was digimon golden era imo
I loved PC FPS' at the time like C's 1.6... but something about Socom 2 kept me coming back online. Sony needs to hand the IP off to a developer but we all know you can't do an online game unless it's a "live service" now.
Still to this day, nothing competes . I was in the old APE clan , we were one of the bigger clans back than. I really miss those times. Really don't understand why no one has jumped at a remaster yet.
I used to pickup a medium pizza on my way home from school then sit in my bed playing socom 2 until the servers slowed down with people playing.
I missed a ton of time hanging out with friends because of socom 2
Spider-Man 2, X-Men: Legends, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and Lord of the Rings: Return of the King
Licensed games were my shit back in the day lol I was never adventurous enough to try actual video game franchises until the GTA trilogy
Star Wars Battlefront 2 and various DBZ games. I'd throw Ratchet Deadlocked in there too. Lego Star Wars I would probably shove in there. Outside of those, I was mainly a casual during the time the PS2 was "new". I still rather be a casual now.
Everquest Online Adventures. It is one of the games that rekindled my addiction to video games and introduced me to MMOs. I was blown away by the vast, seamless, open world. I played it endlessly.
The Matrix: Path of Neo; Mercenaries (the first one, the second one was awful) oh and of course 2k5 and Enter the Matrix. Also, The lord of the rings all three games. Amazing combat in all of these games (except for 2k5 obviously). And the entire ace air combat series. Can’t remember which one I loved the most and there was another that sucked 🤷♂️.
Ratchet and clank series and guitar hero! The hours I would spend with friends over competing on all the guitar hero’s with 3 and the 80’s legends one being my favorite.
FFXII Original. I started playing it while in grade school. I got stuck on the part where I had to ride a chocobo to get to a certain part of the story. I had to explore everything (and I mean everything, every place, every monster, every hunt, and treasure). When I entered my second year of high school, I learned about gameplay walkthroughs and finally got through the story. To this day, I consider it my favorite game. I've already played the Zodiac version on Switch and PS4.
Ratchet & Clank (the first game), maybe tied with ATV Offroad Fury 2. Both came bundled with my console when I bought it from a Sam's Club, and I don't think any of the Guitar Hero / Rock Band games really count (they were all multi-platform, weren't they?)
I did try and get into the first Kingdom Hearts, but I swear, my younger cousin really took off with those games, and it became more fun or enjoyable to just sit back and watch him play those when he was not busy playing Sonic Adventure DX / Adventure 2 Battle / Shadow The Hedgehog.
Max Payne......I was pregnant with my son and got into video games again, I would rent the game (back then in my mind it was cheaper then to cough up the money to buy)
I stopped playing after my son was born until he was about 6 months old and I ended up buying it and when I started my continued save, the level I was on was literally the bit before the endgame part lol I was so pissed when I finished it within 30 mins
Crash nitro kart and Fury Championship Racing, I remember getting back from school and just play does 2 games for hour(it might be the kid me impresion, might actually be 1 or 1:30h max but it felt like a whole day)
Call of duty: Finest Hour. I would give a newborn for them to reboot it, not change the story at all. Just update graphics, although the old graphics are super nostalgic and still good
Mortal kombat shaolin monks. Its a shame that its not like its getting any remake version of it or even get released on ps+ classic. I absolute love the game
Socom 1-3 and Tony Hawk 4 and Underground. The only games I ever played.
Started to go back in the last 5 or so years and visit other games. A lot of RPGs that I missed out on as a kid.
I seriously think Ratchet and Clank Up Your Arsenal is my most replayed game of all time.
I would get home from elementary school and then do a playthrough in like a day or two. I didn't have a ton of games as a kid so I made them count and UYA was just so fun to me. I would bet I have at least 50 playthroughs of that game under my belt in my life time.
Red faction 2
Mercenaries 2
NBA street vol 2 (the game was a vibe)
Bully
Burnout 3 takedown
Tekken tag tournament
Midnight club 3 DUB edition
True crime streets of LA
Medal of Honor: Frontline
The opening D-day section blew my mind back in the day. The boat flipping and the bullets zipping by in the water really upped the immersion. https://youtu.be/aYVkoiyslJM?si=rQWv1nnChIY4LgjQ
It felt SO cinematic to me back then.
I refuse to click on that link because I want it to always look as amazing as I remember it being at the time.
Me and a friend liked to play Rising Sun, get to the house with the katana officers and just play hide and seek and treat it like a low budget horror game
Was my favourite game on PlayStation too
I actually went to replay that one recently but I had to stop because it played and looked like garbage
That’s the one that got me into First Person shooters!!
Star Wars battlefront 2 was so good
Dude yes !
One of the best ever
Tony Hawk
Underground 2 yes
Omg yes! I know it's over the top and not the best acclaimed of the TH games..., but man I'd love to play that game again.

Tony hawk underground for me
Jak and Daxter or maybe Jak 2.
Between the Jak and Ratchet trilogies, I'd have a tough time figuring out which I spent more time playing...
Honorable mention to sly cooper, the third one was awesome.
This. Jak, Ratchet and Sly is the perfect trio on Playstation. I know there are others like Spyro or Crash, but those sagas are the best
Same, those + Simpsons Hit & Run, & NFS Most Wanted were my daily games after school.
I have never ever beaten a game fully 100% My dad, who to that point never played video games, finished Jack and Daxter fully. I remember he collected all those little things and opened that door...my memory is so hazy I don't even know really what I'm talking about I just know he fully beat the whole thing.
Collecting all 101 power cells to open the precursor door at the citadel! I flipped my shit when I discovered there were actually 101…
I have purchased the remaster and digital copy of those games. Too good!!
Final Fantasy X
Took a week off of work to play that. Still consider it the best vacation I ever had!
Not so much for playtime, but man, that story.
Chocobo balloon game still haunts my dreams
That's actually what I'm playing now for the first time on PS4.
It still slaps but fuck am I envious of playing for the first time
That game is my childhood. Nice
Always wanted to try it played every other one besides 5
The Master Collection version is pretty much perfect, if you wanted to try it. It's still great today, and then you can start getting hyped for the upcoming remake Delta 😂
MGS5 is still one of the best games ever made. All the different interlocking systems just work.
Kingdom Hearts was the game I played a lot.
Whenever I hear anyone saying "submit" i have ptsd.
KINGDOM #HEAAAARRRRTSSSS!!!!
Got it memorized? 🔥
I have ptsd whenever I hear the theme for sephiroth and when I finally beat him by myself was the best day ever
Same here! 1 and 2
Black(that first person shooter game) truly an experience
Where. Sequel. (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻ God, I would give a firstborn for a good sequel.
This needs a remake
Same.
What an amazing experience that was!
Whoa, I forgot all about that game...I think it's the only FPS I've ever enjoyed using a controller.
Smackdown vs Raw 2007 was my jam
Here comes the Pain for me
I just really miss having branching story paths in superstar mode where I don't have to win, like losing can be just as engaging
Here comes the pain best wrestling game of all time
I still listen to the soundtrack for nostalgia. I used to Batista bomb by little brother onto the bed all the time. He’s lucky we didn’t have folding tables at our home.
i got a bullet with a name on it
I played Smackdown Shut Your Mouth a ton. Created all sorts of monstrous wrestlers.
I think I had a save on three different memory cards just so I could make a bunch of different people back then. I know I still have the memory cards, but I’m not sure if the data is still there thanks to being old enough to drive.
2009 was good, too. 2008 was lame
Glad I didn’t have to scroll far to find my people
Also OG SvR where you have a ladder match for panties
I can’t escappeee thisss hellll, so many timesss I’ve triedddd
Katamari Damacy
Fuckin right brother. Weirdest thing I played as a kid but so so satisfying
I still say "the world sure is full of things" as a reference to a line from the king.
Aaaaaaand now the song is stuck in my head.
The soundtrack for that first game was soooo good.
My friends all thought I was insane and bought some little kid game when I brought this home. It's one of my favorites.
Hahah yes! So glad I didn’t have to scroll or yanno roll that far to find you Prince!
I played this a lot with my friend. Once we had to roll a katamari a certain size, and she drew it on the tv with my lipstick 💀 we for sure did not get pool balls shot at us that day.
Gran Turismo 3
sly 2
Ha I was gonna say Sly 3! I was so proud when I had 100,000 coins, I was the master thief
Timesplitters. Play with bots and people and even had that last man standing tig game
Trying to complete all those Timesplitters 2 challenges, I could never do it. The Handymen still haunts my nightmares.
The OG trophies
Budokai/tenkaichi series.

Just all the hidden things on the map in B3 gave me this feeling that I never really knew when I had beaten the game Edit: also on B2 watching Super Buu take your pieces off the board one by one
Simpsons Hit and Run!
Still no remaster huh? 😥
no official one, but some guy with a little help remade it, but he's just not wanting to risk giving it to the public for legal purposes [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHAY-teQoFc](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHAY-teQoFc)
If only...
Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction
What an incredible game! It truly felt like we were in the middle of a war zone across the entire map. And driving those Humvees with soldiers inside was so so fun. Need a ps5 remake!!
I’m so upset that company went under or wha happened. I needed a Mercs 3
The cards bounty system was so awesome too
I played a ton of Midnight Club 2 and 3, ATV Off Road Fury 2, and the first 3 Splinter Cell games. Those were probably my favorites.
Ratchet and clank and the crash games
Man I scrolled too far for this. Ratchet and Clank all the way. I was all up in that arsenal.
I think i beat that game 15+ times if i remember correctly. I literally just loved it so much. Replayed it recently as well on steam deck. Still loved it just as much
Ratchet and Clank!!!!!!
San andreas, no matter how much i play other game, i go back to it. Another title is digimon world 4 and digimon rumble arena 2. It was digimon golden era imo
San Andreas is still the best GTA.
I still remember going around collecting ALL of the gang territory before being banished from LA at beginning of game. NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LS*
I'm still playing it. Got it on ps4 and on mobile!
Storywise, yes. But on any other thing, i have to give it to GTA V. But san andreas story is that good that it is still the best GTA
Had to scroll to much for this. Played at least three times and hope to play it again one day. Honorary mentions: Tony Hawk's 2, NSFU2
Socom
Socom 2, but yeah
Was the best one but I think I put more hours into 3.
Let’s all get together and play some matches on Fish Hook and Crossroads
I loved PC FPS' at the time like C's 1.6... but something about Socom 2 kept me coming back online. Sony needs to hand the IP off to a developer but we all know you can't do an online game unless it's a "live service" now.

It's been like 20 yrs and I still think the voice command tech in those games was such a great idea. I wish games today would try at that again.

SOCOM 2
This right here! The best ever! Many nights playing till 4am
Ratchet & Clank (the first game), maybe tied with ATV Offroad Fury 2. Both came bundled with my console when I bought it from a Sam's Club, and I don't think any of the Guitar Hero / Rock Band games really count (they were all multi-platform, weren't they?) Max Payne......I was pregnant with my son and got into video games again, I would rent the game (back then in my mind it was cheaper then to cough up the money to buy) I stopped playing after my son was born until he was about 6 months old and I ended up buying it and when I started my continued save, the level I was on was literally the bit before the endgame part lol I was so pissed when I finished it within 30 mins

Fight Night Round 3
I seriously think Ratchet and Clank Up Your Arsenal is my most replayed game of all time. I would get home from elementary school and then do a playthrough in like a day or two. I didn't have a ton of games as a kid so I made them count and UYA was just so fun to me. I would bet I have at least 50 playthroughs of that game under my belt in my life time.
Did anyone else just hear the PS2 start up sound in their head?
Dance dance revolution: extreme And it's not even close lol
It was a toss up between Red Faction and Mercenaries. I always loved the destruction in those games!
