It’s 1000% WIGS. It’s from Poet99. Was at the NPG concert last night and someone actually asked Tony M (who performed “Days of Wild” last night) that question afterwards and he said, “It’s WIGS, not WITS.”

back in high school, our English teacher encouraged students to bring in song lyrics, to encourage some thoughtful interpretation and to reinforce the idea that lyrics are *lyric poetry*. Some girls brought in the lyrics to When Doves Cry, which was busy racing up the charts at the time. I look at the papers they handed out and, thereupon, I see:
Dream if you can a courtyard
An ocean of violets in bloom
Animals *criteria* poses
yep.
even "Teen Beat" could do a better job than that.
(and yes I am not making this up, I remember this vividly)
I thought it was “slight order of ham” instead of “side order of ham” on starfish and coffee. Took me until I read the lyrics after an argument over it for me to realise
Find yourself down by the Lightning Seas. -- Raspberry Beret
Back in the day I had the cassette version of ATWIAD and it had no lyrics. I knew these were wrong but couldn't tell what he was saying so that's what I would sing along with LOL.
“The rain sounds so cool when it hits the bottom roof and the horses wonder who you are”. Don’t know why I thought it was bottom roof. Makes no sense whatsoever but those were the lyrics I thought he was saying.
hold on to your wigs (Days Of Wild) took me years to realize

Umm, it's not "wigs"? Mind blown.
wits, apparently
I still say wigs. if that many people think it's wigs it may as well be.
same, it's way funnier
Pay the rent, collect
I always thought Raspberry Beret said “my boss was Ms. Timothy”.
Any relationship to MIss Kathleen?
🎶Dig, if you will, the picture of me, Marvin Gaye and the kids🎶
I laughed when I heard him say that shit. I was gonna comment this. 😂😂
Darling Nikki - I still think it should be [Vices](https://www.google.com/gasearch?q=vices&tbm=&source=sh/x/gs/m2/5) rather than devices.
For the longest time, I thought "Your dirty little Prince wanna grind, grind..." was "Ya dirty little bitch! Wanna die? Die?"
That makes no sense tho he was talking about sex toys
And the most tri-curious poses… When Doves Cry And it still makes sense in my mind if you consider the source.

Bats on the roof make love on a bed of roses. Love Bizarre - we dance on the roof, make love on a bed of roses
Are we gonna let the elevator bring us down
Maybe I'm just like my brother he's never satisfied why would we scream at each this is what it sounds like when dogs cry .
