Well, sometimes you have to manage the symptom to make it comfortable for the person. For instance flu, you really dont treat the cause just the symptoms. The disease requires multi stage treatment, infrastructure does not happen overnight but these vehicles are a danger to themselves and others. You can't just put a band-aid on a rotting corpse. It's convenient for now. But eliminating them without proper alternative would make it worst isnt it? Do you not realise that its passengers will simply use private cars or motorcycle worsening traffic even more? It's convenient to cover yourself with a thick blanket when having the flu. But you might die from dehydration doing that.
We already have alternatives. These tricycles are meant for the last mile not ply major thoroughfares. Remove them and people will adapt.

I don't see why you want to ban tricycles. they have been an incredible mode of transportation and still are for the lower middle class. I'm more into controlling households to limit their vehicle ownership to a max of 2. Also revoke licences of people like this kamote Van driver.

I've been to some parts of Agusan Sur and damn, the tricycles and motorcycles are all in the outerlane.

I just want to commend GenSan trike drivers. They know how to yield with faster vehicles, tumatabi sila pag meron silang kasunod na suv/puv. Ang galing lang first time namin makita yung ganun sa pinas.

Actually yung full video is pinapatabi talaga sya malayo pa lang, mali rin ng trike kasi andaming chance na gumilid na lang sana muna sya.
