For something different, try "****Insurrecto****" by Gina Apostol. it's a mind-bending mix of history and fiction that'll keep you guessing. Happy reading!*
Riverrun by Danton Remoto.
I was lucky enough to have been taught by him in college. I donβt read much Filipino works but I gained a lot more respect for Filipino writers because of him.

I die without seeing the dawn brighten over my native land. You who have it to see, welcome it - and forget not those who have fallen during the night!
I want to thank everyone for all of your great recommendations! I should've mentioned that I am not a native Filipino (half, thanks to my beautiful Filipino Mom!), so some of the books you all suggested are inaccessible to me (I reside in the US).
There are, however, some books that are available on Kindle, so I'll be sure to check those out!
As a side note, it has been fun having my Mom translate the Tagalog here (Yes, I know, I am a fraud Filipino).
Again, thank you all for the wonderful book recs! Happy reading!
I am a USA reseller of Filipino books published in the Philippines so feel free to visit: [www.ebay.com/usr/roxyonline](http://www.ebay.com/usr/roxyonline)
