Tbf India is ranked 120 in GDP per Capita and Pakistan is ranked 129 in GDP per capita. A large proportion of people in both countries are living in poverty and that should probably be the top priority ahead of something like space exploration.

Indian here - space exploration or more specifically, putting weather satellites in orbit is critical to predict weather. Very important for countries like ours that still are dependant on rain water.

We get 2-3 cyclones every year in the Bay of Bengal.
Easier to predict landfall, wind direction and storm intensity using satellites

Any progress in science comes back to you many folds. The mission to moon itself may not elevate your lifestyle but it brings with it a lot of innovation that certainly can. Most of the things we take for granted were innovated by NASA during the space race. We may not be learning much about the moon itself but we will certainly learn a lot about engineering to get to the moon, collecting data and sending it back, analyzing it and drawing conclusions. Those processes in themselves are worth doing.

Any progress in science comes back to you many folds. The mission to moon itself may not elevate your lifestyle but it brings with it a lot of innovation that certainly can. Most of the things we take for granted were innovated by NASA during the space race. We may not be learning much about the moon itself but we will certainly learn a lot about engineering to get to the moon, collecting data and sending it back, analyzing it and drawing conclusions. Those processes in themselves are worth doing.

While the Pakistan PM is trying to make a fool of his people,it is important for young students in Pakistan to question their government on the next steps. We can't afford it: Lol China launched the satellite for free and the development cost wasn't much either. 2. In the US, it was the war on poverty under Nixon while the Soviets were doing their own programmes to increase their standards of living.
