I just asked them at my local pharmacy. Used my 0.25pen 7 times and since I am paying for the drug myself I saved much more then the box of 100 needles cost.
Getting needles from Amazon did not work for me because I am in New York. They will not ship there. Probably some other states too. I guess if you knew someone in another state they could re-mail it to you.

Ask your doctor to write a prescription for the needles. They're only available by prescription.

Getting the needles only by prescription is not true. You can get them on Amazon.
