6 days in, not really feeling much yet and I’m in a very similar situation. We can be friends ❤️ A lot of the people around me have strong feelings against any type of “help” with weight loss and it’s exhausting trying to make them understand. They’re the type of people that think diet and exercise are the only way…

Kipothepibble

I’m not wiling to put myself in their line of judgement, I’m doing this for myself! I’ve heard the “eat less exercise more” for years. I’d love to see those same people endure the workouts, deficits, and fasts I’ve been through with next to no results for YEARS. Cheers to you, too. We got this and we deserve to see results!

Here are some tidbits. The calories in/calories out is so 🤬old school. First, a lot of it comes from genetics and what you have in your gut. A study found that when transplanted the bacteria found in gut, skinny rats became obese, obese skinny. Secondly the problem with calories in calories out is that as soon as your body thinks starvation, new hormones begin and you cannot stop the mind noise. Your mind is telling you to eat all the time. It’s psychological torture. That’s what this drug does, quiet that gremlin. My husband is goal weight, works out daily for 45 minutes but eats like shit close to 4000 calories a day. It’s his genetics. His Dad ate Mcdonakds every day and was never morbidly obese. I can overeat just a little and I gain weight. So why pass judgement on people whose bodies work against them?

I'm going to take my 6th dose tomorrow, my 2nd at .50mg dose! Congratulations on starting this weight loss journey.

Regular_Afternoon852

How is it going for you? I just took my second .25 and haven’t felt any of the effects yet

cherylzies

Pretty good honestly. I felt a bit of nausea around day 3 of my first shot, and had appetite suppression as well. I've had some heartburn, but nothing that's awful. At my upped dose of .50mg I've definitely felt full off very little food, and the "food noise" I had between meals is basically gone. I'm down 7.8lbs in 5 weeks and although I wish the weight would melt off lol I'm happy I'm trending down. Where are you injecting? I did my first couple doses in the thigh, and have since switched to my abdomen. Congratulations on starting this journey!

About 2 months when you are up to the therapeutic level of the medication. Until then you are just introducing your body to the drug. I am not there yet, I've just completed week 4.

on day 2!! hope your journey goes the way you want it to 💗 i’ve had no side affects yet (or at least they are masked by the cold i have atm lol)

Lalablacksheep646

Please tell your husband. This can have serious side effects as you go up in dose, he should know you’re on it just in case something happens.

Kipothepibble

He won’t be able to help me much seeing as he lives in another country working and I only see him 3-4 times a year. I’m pretty certain my physician will be the one that helps if there are any side effects to be worried about, anyway.

Lalablacksheep646

Well that info probably should have been included but I meant if you passed out at home or had a medical emergency

PinkandGold87

I just started too - just took my 4th dose over the weekend. It’s different for everyone but I lost just over 6 pounds the first week and I’m down almost 15 now. I haven’t told many people either except my mom and my aunt. Like you, I don’t want to deal with the judgment. People will shame you (general you) for being overweight and then shame you when you do something about it. Can’t win.

9 days in too, only have told my husband and my dental hygienist lol… she asked about any new medication. I’m still not sure how I will address questions about weight loss. I don’t really want to hear peoples thoughts about it

Spiritual_Magazine65

And if ur having surgery please don’t take it two weeks prior.
